Aether had come back from his quest in Inezuma, he was more tired and irritable. When someone was mad that he didn’t want to get them some viola lily’s he even snapped at them. Xiao was watching the blonde haired boy from afar, just keeping watch. Totally not like, spying!!! He would never do that.
Aethers PoV
I walked up to Kathrine to claim my commissions, “Hello Aether, oh crap you look tired.” She said getting me to laugh a little, “I slept bad last night.” I said, Paimon scoffed, “Don’t believe him Katherine, he was having nightmares and practically sobbing!” The fairy said, “Hey!” Katherine just smiled, “So are you here to claim you commissions?” She noticed I was uncomfortable, although so did Paimon but she didn’t do shit. “Yeah.” I replied to Kathrine. We did the exchange, “Hey.”She said looking past me,”I think a certain Adeptus wants to see how you’re doing.” I look behind myself and see Xiao, “Bye Kathrine, see you later.”
I walk over to Xiao, “Hey!” I said, “Hello…” He said. “I noticed you staring.” I said making the green haired boy blush, “Well technically-“ Paimon started before I covered her mouth with my hand. I saw Xiao almost smile, or looked like he wanted to laugh. Paimon glared at him, I uncovered her mouth. “So…I uhm randomly heard you were having nightmares.” Xiao said, this was my turn to blush. “I uhm…Well yeah.” Xiao clawed his throat. “Well I can…Like make you some tea that helps you sleep well…” He said, “Sure, yeah that would be great.”
(Time skip later in the night)
Xiao came and made the tea. He made it really well. When I tasted it, it was like a nice distant memory like my sister or when I had my powers. “Do you like it?” Xiao asked, “Yeah it’s great!” I said. I looked at a clock, “Oh, Xiao it’s really late. You should sleep here tonight.” He looked embarrassed, “Adeptis don’t sleep.” He said, “You really should.” Paimon giggled, “Your one to talk.” She said. “I guess I can.” Xiao said. “Great!” I said.
