Diagon Alley.
{Anraí meets Neville at Madame Malkin’s instead of Draco. They get on well, though shyly. Both Neville & Anraí bond over their fear of not getting into the Houses they want.}

The Sorting Hat.
{On the Train: Draco gets pulled away for a moment by Pansy. During that time Ron Weasley enters the car & takes up the spot across from Anraí. Anraí tries to be polite, but he really doesn’t like Weasley, too loud, abrasive, and rude. They get interrupted by Hermione bursting into the car, dragging Neville around looking for his toad. Draco reenters whilst Ron’s being rude, but Ron buggers out of there when he realizes that Anraí is Draco’s fiancé. Once he’s gone, Anraí asks Draco if he can Accio for Neville’s toad, which he begrudgingly does. Hermione & Neville end up staying in their car.}
{Blaise eventually joins the car and teases Draco for being surrounded by so many firsties. Hermione takes offense, but Blaise flirtatiously calls her feisty.}
{Anraí takes a boat with Neville, Hermione, & ???}
{Anraí is sorted into Gryffindor, but he refuses, stitching the Hat’s mouth shut, & declares he’ll go to Slytherin.}
‘My, my, what have we here?’ the hat said inside Anraí’s mind. He could hear the hat perfectly, just like when Mama used Occlemency.
‘Good evening, Mr. Hat’ Anraí replied.
The hat chuckled. ‘So polite. Yes, yes, I can see here, in your head, just what a good boy you are.’
‘Thank you.’ Anraí bit his bottom lip, hesitating. ‘Um, Mr. Hat, could you please place me in Slytherin?’
‘Slytherin, eh? Hmm… I must be honest with you, little hunter, but I don’t think any house would suit you.’
Anraí gripped the stool, his heart pounding in his chest, and he could feel tears burning against his lashes. ‘I’m not good enough?’
‘Oh, no, no, no! You will certainly be an excellent student and I see great potential in you, little hunter.’
‘I-I don’t understand, Mr. Hat.’
‘What I mean, is that you have the potential to suit any house at Hogwarts, but that the houses might not be able to meet your needs. Hufflepuff is a caring lot, but their nurturing nature might be too coddling for you, and Ravenclaw the exact opposite, their emphasis on logic will ignore any and all emotional needs. Gryffindor would give you a loyal pack, but they are a loud, boisterous lot, and you who prefers the quiet and serenity of the forest, would find that isolating, would you not?’
Anraí had to agree. None of those sounded like particularly nice places, but he wanted to be at Hogwarts with Draco, and if he had to go to one of those houses, so be it. ‘But what about Slytherin?’ he asked hopefully.
‘Yes, yes, the Slytherins are a guarded lot who could offer you protection but also the space and quiet you need. They are close, but aren’t in the habit of coddling, and could give you the logic and harshness you require. However, you must be careful in Slytherin. Whilst they can offer you the perfect environment to grow, little hunter, there are those in Slytherin who could potentially be your enemy should you continue on your path.’
‘I know,’ he replied easily. This wasn’t anything that Mamma and Pabbi hadn’t already warned him about.
‘And yet you still wish to enter the Snake Pit?’
‘I do.’
‘Very well, little hunter. I wish you the best of luck—Hogwarts has been awaiting you.’
‘Thank you, Mr. Hat.’
Keeper of Keys.

Instead of fighting against it, Draco invokes a shield and has Anraí bombarda the wall. They escape into the next room & make a run for it, running into McGonagall & Quirell, McG begins to reprimand them, but Snape shows up just in time, stops her from taking action against his Slytherins & even gives the three boys points for their cunning in getting out of the situation & not being stupid enough to face off against a fully grown mountain troll.}
