Chapter 8
At Christmas in Slytherin it was just me, Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. I got sweets from Tracy, a pair of gloves from Daphne and a green robe from Theo. I also got a cloak of invisibility from a stranger who said it belonged to my father, Hades said that his magic was very old and very strong.
There were other attacks after Christmas, and Snape told them that if the attacks continued, the school would probably close.
Months passed with some attacks and everyone except Slytherin believing that Longbottom was behind them.
One morning Harry entered the great hall with Theo to stop in shock. The walls were filled with pink flowers and heart-shaped confetti fell from the ceiling.
"What the hell?" said Harry.
"Well ..." Theo began.
"It's Valentine's Day," Parkinson said as he entered the great hall.
Harry made a disgusted look and went to sit at Slytherin's table. He started putting food on his plate trying not to eat confetti when he looked at Theo who showed him to the teachers table.
The teachers were sitting with expressionless masks but he could understand that McGonagall looked irritated and that Snape had a murderous style.
"Look at Snape's face," I told Theo, who turned to look and began to choke on his food.
"Happy Valentine's Day!" Said Lockhart. "And I would like to thank the forty-six people who sent me a card ........."
"I can't hear him anymore I'm leaving" I said and got up to leave and Theo followed me.
"Which asshole will I send him a card, everyone knows he's a scammer" i said as we walked.
"We will never have a good teacher in defense," Theo grumbled.
"What happened to last year's teacher?" Harry asked.
"I do not know, Dumbledore did not say anything, he just disappeared, at least we did not give exams."
"Did you hear what happened to that giant?" Harry asked.
"His name is Hagrit and yes I heard he was sent to Azkaban, they say he was behind the attacks last time."
"This giant is the heir of Slytherin? I doubt it very much, he has the same probability of being the heir as Malfoy has, that is, none" I said with a smile, remembering the three stupid Gryffindors.
Teo laughed "So I have to go to botanology, shall we talk later?"
"Yes, bye "said Harry and started going to the charms.
In the afternoon Harry was sitting with Theo and they were playing chess.
"My father came a while ago and told me that Dumbledore had been expelled from school and was no longer a headmaster" Malfoy said arrogant.
"You have to be kidding" said a 4 year girl.
"No, I'm not kidding" Malfoy said, looking at the girl as if she were rubbish.
"So what happened?" asked one of Malfoy's gorillas.
"Dumbledore was fired because he could not do his job properly as a headmaster and many students have been petrified" he said happily.
"Don't be happy Malfoy" I said and everyone turned to look at me "you may not like Dumbledore but you would be foolish not to admit that Dumbledore is one of the strongest wizarts."
"Dumbledore is getting old."
"Or he wants you to believe so, no matter how much you dislike him, Dumbledore is a great wizard and he would protect Hogwarts and his students with his life and that is what makes him a great headmaster and no matter how much you hate him this is the truth."
Malfoy did not know what to say and he left with his gorillas.
The end of the year was coming, as was the quidditch match Slytherin vs. Gryffindor.
After we put on our robes and went out on the field we heard McGonagall say "The game is canceled the students go back to their dormitories, I repeat the game canceled the students go back to their dorms."
We looked at each other without knowing why the match was canceled and we went back to the locker room to change.
After we changed and started going back to Slytherin's common room I noticed Longbottom and Weasley.
Secretly so as not to be caught I hid in a corner and waited for them to leave and then I followed Longbottom and Weasley.
I saw them enter Lockhart's office and leave a few minutes later with Longbottom pointing his stick at Lockhart and they went to the Myrtle toilets. I followed them and went into the bathroom without being understood.
"How did you die Myrtia?" Longbottom asked.
"I only remember seeing a pair of yellow eyes and then it became a ghost and I stayed here" she said.
"Where did you see them?" Said Longbottom.
"Somewhere there" he pointed to the sink.
Longbottom and Weasley began searching.
"This sink never working" Myrtle said.
"Neville, say something in the parslemouth" Weasley said.
Longbottom tried to concentrate "Open" he said in English "Open" he said in parslemouth and the sink started to open to reveal a hole.
Before they could say anything I came out of where I was hiding "You found the entrance to the arch of the secrets, my congratulations" I said.
"Potter, what do you think you're doing here?" said Weasley.
"I saw you walking around the castle whenever I followed you and here we are."
"Neville, we have to save Ginny, we have no time," Weasley told Longbottom.
"Ginny?" I asked.
"My sister."
"You mean this little red-haired girl in Gryffindor?"
Weasley looked angry.
"Ron oh we have to go" Longbottom said.
"Are you an idiot Longbottom? you will jump into this hole without knowing what is inside" i said.
"What else can I do?" Longbottom asked angrily.
"Throw this idiot in, he's useless anyway," I said, pointing to Lockhart who had a look of fear.
Longbottom looked at me strangely but before he could say anything Weasley said "He is right, Lockhart is a teacher he has to go first."
They pushed Lockhart to the hole "Guys .... you do not need ....." but Weasley pushed him and slipped and fell inside.
Longbottom jumped right in, leaving me and Weasley.
"Well then I go" I said and i jumped into the hole.
He slipped into a large tube and eventually fell to the floor. He saw Longbottom in front of him and Lockhart a little further on.
A few seconds later, Weasley came out too.
I went on without caring what the others were doing and came across a snake skin "You should see this Hades."
I heard an explosion and stones falling, ran to the sound and saw Longbottom dusty "What happened Longbottom?"
"Potter, I thought you were on the other side," Longbottom said in surprise.
"Obviously not, what happened?"
"Lockhart stole Ron's wand and tried to forget us but Ron had broken his wand at the beginning of the year when he fell down the stairs so the spell hit on the ceiling and we were trapped" Longbottom said.
"What are we doing now?" I asked.
"I'm going to look for Ginny," he began to walk.
I sighed "I will come with you."
