Scenario 1
Marauders were hanging in the common room with other Gryffindors. Sirius and James were doing what they usually did. Caused disturbance. Lily was trying to concentrate on her study and was losing her patience. She yanked James to the couch next to her, which successfully shut him up. Tough that did not calm Sirius one pit, on the contrary.
“Lupin, control your boyfriend!” Lily shouted desperately. THAT did shut Sirius up. He blushed hard and mumbled something like “I’m not his boyfriend…”
To that, Remus started laughing and grabbed Sirius to his lap. “Of course you are, what do you mean not?!” He said, still laughing. “But Lily, even if I had control over him, I would not use it to calm him or to give you study peace.” Remus added with a wink. Sirius did not know what to do with himself, so he opted into hiding his face in the crook of Remus neck. That was his safe spot anyway.
Scenario 2
James and Sirius were snowball fighting. Inside. Other Gryffindors were starting to lose their nerves on them and someone eventually yelled: “Lupin, control your boyfriend!”. Remus lifted his case from the book he was reading and asked confused “which one of them?” “Both obviously.” Peter mumbles under his breath while rolling his eyes.
Sirius and James continue like there isn’t any talking about them. Though they probably cant hear anything from all the screaming and laughing. Remus wolf whistles loudly and Sirius and James stop to look at him. “Down boys.” is all Remus says and continues reading. That, of course does nothing to stop the snowball fight.
Scenario 3
Remus and Sirius were studying in the library. Sirius was starting to get bored and did all kind of little disturbing noises. Some annoyed Ravenclaw shouted from the next table “Lupin, control your boyfriend!” Remus blushed red, looked at Sirius with panic in his eyes and run of the library. Sirius collected all of their stuff and went to look for Remus. It wasn’t until few hours later when he found him, curled up crying in a broom closet.
“What wrong Remus?” Sirius asked while sitting on the floor next to him. “Didn’t you hear what that Ravenclaw said?!?” Remus sobbed. “Oh honey” Sirius says while moving closer so he can hug Remus. “I know you don’t want to be out to the school, but it’s not that bad, is it? Were in this together, I got you.” Remus blinked his eyes to look at Sirius. Sirius was talking like… like they actually were together? What? Remus did not remember getting that memo. “So… you don’t mind people saying that about us?” Remus checked. “Of course I don’t mind, but I don’t want you to be upset.” Sirius said while hugging him.

In the middle of Order meeting Sirius lost his shit to Snape, who turned his gaze to Remus and asked him to control his boyfriend. Everyone looked scandalized but all Remus said was “Husband actually, and no I won’t. He has had enough of controlling assholes in his life, I will not be one of them.” After that Remus looked at Sirius with loving smile and said: “Do continue love.”
