Epilogue
185 years had passed since the summoning of seven Harry Potters in the Great Dining Hall, and 183 years had passed since Britain had lost the war to Lord Voldemort. 180 years had passed since Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort married, which was more like the submission of a completely enamored Lord Voldemort to his spouse, and 75 years had passed since the last country in the world was conquered by the couple.
Contrary to everyone's expectations, the rule under Lord Voldemort was a very calm, rational, and egalitarian one, where mistreatment of either dirty-bloods, creatures, or squibs did not exist. This was, of course, the responsibility of Harry Potter who, the moment he noticed a slip from his spouse, made a point of emphatically letting him know how disappointed he was in his behavior.
The Muggle population never got to hear about the numerous battles for the conquest of new magical countries or the subsequent unsuccessful attempts at independence sought by the invaded countries. On the surface, the countries remained the same, while, in reality, the magical countries were run under the same regime, headed by the dangerous Dark Lord, Lord Voldemort.
Or rather, as everyone knew, his husband Harry Potter, who despite saying he was not interested in politics, was in charge of approving or rejecting all new laws and policies that would be implemented in the country.
So, 185 years after Harry Potter became the master of death, he was living happily in Slytherin Manor. He was currently in bed with his husband, enjoying a lazy morning full of caresses and soft kisses.
Despite all the events of the past, the marriage between Harry and Tom, as the older man had preferred Harry and only Harry to call him, was one based solely and exclusively on love. After the reabsorption of all but Harry's horcruxes, Tom regained his 16-year-old appearance, and more importantly, his rationality.
The man, at first a little reluctant to spend time with Harry, was only devoted to carrying out Harry's orders while unintentionally glancing sideways at Harry whenever he could. Lord Voldemort had found in Harry what others had found in him. Someone to look up to. Harry's method of immortality was perfect, and his judgement of people was so idealistic that many people would consider him delusional if not for the fact that Harry had the power to do as he wished.
Voldemort had found himself completely in love with the young man in less than a month, and in less than two, his infatuation had slowly but surely turned into a true love that the man knew would last into eternity. Harry, on the other hand, had at first found himself somewhat uncomfortable with the pure love reflected in the eyes of Voldemort, now Tom, towards him. But at the same time, he had been enchanted by the man's uninterested love for him, which was something Harry had always wanted.
In the end, despite their initial quarrels over their differing views on ruling, the pair had managed to overcome their differences, and now, 185 years later, their life couldn't get any better.
Well, technically it could be better. As Tom and Harry were immortal, they didn't age, but their friends and family did. Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Remus, McGonagall, Lucius, Draco, Bellatrix, Rodolphus, Rabastan and many others had passed away long ago. Some of them suffered in their deaths, like Dumbledore, who was imprisoned in Nurmegrand along with his lover Grindelwar so that he could see how much more beautiful and happier the magical world was ruled under the two people he was to kill. It is said that he died in Grindelwar's arms when his heart broke because of the guilt he felt. Minutes later Grindelwar followed him into the afterlife.
Other people like Remus took a couple of years to speak to Harry again because of his alliance with Voldemort, but when Harry asked him to be best man at his wedding, the differences were put behind them and they became a happy family until he died 80 years later. Other people, like Ron and Hermione, only apologized to Harry for their ignorance and ostracism of him on his deathbed. By then, Harry didn't think much of them.
Some Death Eaters like Bella and the Lestrange were killed by Harry and Tom because of an uprising they caused when they were forbidden to kill more people. Others like Snape accepted the change quickly, if not easily, and moved on with their lives. Some like Lucius got out of the political arena altogether, leaving it to their children and deciding to travel with their spouses until they were too old to do so. Lucius died happily surrounded by his family. Draco became a great finance minister for the country, and although he cried a lot when his father passed away, when his time came, he perfectly understood the smile on Lucius's face as he left.
Harry and Tom, on the other hand, had adopted two children, a boy, and a girl whom they had named Lily Merope Riddle-Potter and Tomas James Potter-Riddle. Both were children who lived in abusive homes until their parents were killed in an uprising against Tom's rule. The children were eight and nine years old respectively when they were adopted by the couple but decided to change their names to leave their childhood behind. Tom and Harry cried a little on their wedding day but did not stop crying for over a year when they both died at the ages of 90 and 97. They had not wanted to become immortal beings like their parents.
Now, Tom and Harry had 'retired' from their government jobs. They still helped out when a difficult case came up, but the system they had created was so perfect that there was no longer a need for a president, tyrant, or king to regulate the country. So, these days, Harry and Tom were busy studying magic, or doing various activities such as playing cricket or cross-stitch, like any other old couple in their retirement. In truth, they had both realized what a mistake immortality was. Watching your children die before you, is something no one would wish for.
So now, as Harry and Tom ate breakfast, the conversation that Harry and Tom most dreaded came up.
''What do you want to do now, Harry?'' asked Tom as he ate his toast.
Harry stopped reading his paper in favor of looking at Tom, who was glaring at him. Tom was ready to face whatever Harry wanted, whether he said he wanted to die or destroy the world, or whether he said he wanted to go to Disney. Harry simply sighed.
"I really don't know Tom. The world doesn't need us anymore, but there are still so many things to learn. I would like to go back to see the various Harrys who helped me when I was young to become the master of death. They spoke of some system of communication between them, and though I've been thinking about it for years, I still haven't been able to figure out how to visit them, not even by going through that stupid summoning book of Dumbledore's.''
Tom understood Harry's frustration. Those people had given Harry the happiness he had longed for, but Harry was never able to give it back, so Tom decided to take his hand to make Harry look at him.
''Don't worry Harry, one day we'll find a way. We have eternity after all,'' Tom said and then took Harry by the cheek and placed a soft kiss on his lips.
After they parted, Harry smiled the smile that Tom had come to love so much, and repeated the words he had said so many times before, ''In the meantime, I'll stay by your side forever, because I love you, Harry’’
''I love you too Tom'' Harry replied and then leaned forward again and repeated the kiss.
This could not be done, as out of nowhere, a ball of light burst into the dining room they were both in and landed on the table.
''Good morning, Master of Death 7778, and congratulations on reaching your 200th birthday. As is customary, when a mod, as we like to call death masters for short, reaches 200 years without having given up on their life or attempted suicide, the Harrys' congregation formally invites them to join them. This time, it is your turn, Harry James Potter 7778, and therefore, this interface will be given to you''.
Harry couldn't physically open his eyes any wider without them popping out of his corneas, and neither could Tom. This was surreal. Harry didn't even realize it was his birthday, and a sphere of light had come out of nowhere to remind him. The only positive thing was that Harry could now apparently communicate with the Harrys who had saved him, but he would have to do more digging. Meanwhile, the sphere continued to speak.
"With this interface you, Harry 7778, and those of your choice will be able to travel between worlds. The selection of worlds is registered in the interface but travelling to a private world without the permission of the Harry of that world can lead to anything from a serious fine to death, depending on that Harry Potter's choice’’
Great, so we might as well die if we travel indiscriminately, Harry thought. Tom's grimace implied that he thought so too.
''Communication between Harrys Potter is also possible, but to interact with those not added to your friends list, a price must be paid that each Harry chooses. There are three public worlds that every Harry can visit where a selection of businesses, homes and clubs can be found. All other information is available on this device, so please read and sign if you agree''.
When the voice dropped, the dial stopped glowing and turned into a small bracelet. Harry, as a precaution, took his wand and tapped the bracelet to see if it would do anything. When he accepted that it was no longer in danger, he breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look at Tom.
‘’What do you think?'' asked Harry.
Tom simply shrugged, ''I'm sure it's not a prank, because there's no one alive who witnessed the summoning ritual and knows how to breach our protections just to play a prank. It can only be them’’
Harry found everything Tom said very plausible, so he took the bracelet and put it on, only for a screen to appear in front of his eyes. Harry began to read.
''Rules of the Harrys Congregation''.
Every Harry Potter who has become a Master of Death possesses at least one existential plane into which he was born.
He can get another existential plane in the world market, where the worlds in which Harry Potter has died prematurely are auctioned off. The winning Harry must become the Harry Potter of that world until his 20th birthday, when he will be free to do what he wants with that world as his own.
If a Harry Potter's material plane is destroyed without that Harry Potter being responsible for its destruction, he will be given a new one free of charge.
The currency used to trade between Harry Potters is souls.
Every death in the existential plane of a Harry Potter will automatically convert into a soul in his wallet.
Trading between Harrys can also be done through transactions if both parties agree.
Communication between Harrys will be done via this device or in person and, unless both agree, a payment will be made to initiate any conversation. This is done to avoid spamming or annoying other Harrys.
Entering a world without the express permission of its Harry is strictly forbidden and will be punished at the discretion of the world's owner, up to and including death.
The three worlds open to all Harrys are delta, gamma, and alpha, and are usually club, home, or business compounds.
On all three worlds, assassination attempts on other Harrys (even if unsuccessful) or their companions are strictly forbidden.
In other neutral territories, attacks between Harrys will not be punished in any way.
On this device can be found the functions of a world market (but there is also a physical office on the planet gamma), communication between Harrys, dimensional travel, online shops (from a clothing shop to the slave market) and numerous group chats of clubs that perform different types of activities (from tea parties, to pitched battles where killing is valid, although death is only temporary due to the immortality of the Harrys).
Each Harry Potter must choose a codename for himself due to the confusion of all Death masters having the same name. The name will be unchangeable except in extreme cases, for which special permission will be needed, as the name represents acceptance of joining the Harrys' congregation.
When Harry finished reading it all out loud along with Tom, the screen automatically changed. It was written, Enter your name here:
Harry looked at Tom for a second, this was a very important decision that would fundamentally change their lives, and Harry wanted to be sure that Tom wanted it too.
Tom seemed to understand his gaze so with an affable smile he replied ''Don't worry Harry''.
At that answer Harry's heart almost melted, only for Tom to screw it up with the next sentence.
‘’I'll choose your name. We all know what lousy taste you have when it comes to naming people, so hand me the bracelet ''
It took Harry a minute to understand what Tom had said, ''¡Hey, look who's talking, the one who made an anagram of his name!''.
Tom made a gesture of being offended by this, but he was too busy laughing at Harry.
Harry wisely ignored him and stuck his new name in:
Necromancer
Harry didn't have time to be proud of his new name when the artefact gave an error. This name is already in use.
That only made Tom laugh even harder, and after 20 names, Harry finally came up with a valid name.
