ย

5 people swaddled in the same uniform as Odelia was in was at 5 different spots on an elevated platform, each with a crowd of similarily clothed people in front of them.

ย

A tablet floated in front of another crowd and another crowd stood in front of an empty uplifted area.

"Well, is that all for the new dorm assignments?" a red-haired boy asked, a hand on his hip. His silvery-blue eyes shone under the hood as he mentally did a head count.

He faced his crowd, his voice gaining a harsher tone as he spoke, "Listen up new students. Here in Heartslabyul, I am the rules. Break them and it's off with your head!" he declared, his eyes narrowed.

A tan boy with lion ears under the hood yawned, exposing his sharp canines. Two brown braids fell on his chest.

"Uuuugggh. The stuffy ceromony's finally over." he opened tantalising green eyes. "We're going back to the dorm. Savannaclaws, follow me."

A boy with silver hair smiled. He had blue eyes lined with glasses, and a beauty mark under his mouth.

"To the new students, congratulations on entering the academy. Enjoy life to its fullest." he smiled calculatingly. "As the dormitory leader of Octavinelle, I will support you to the best of my ability."

ย

"By the way, where I did the Headmaster go? He flew right out in the middle of the ceremony..." a beautiful man with sharp violet eyes spoke. He had blonde hair, with the ends a soft lilac.

ย

A blue tablet with a light blue circle, a darker blue triangle inside the circle and an insignia of some sort of logo floated spoke up, someone connected to the other end. "Abandoning his post..."

ย

"Did he get a stomachache or something?" a tan boy with snowy hair aksed, tilting his head to the side, his red eyes gleaming under the shadow of his hood.

ย

"Not at all!" Crowley spoke up, throwing the doors open with a dramatic flair.

ย

Odelia, on the other hand, winced at all the eyes on her. She had never done well with attention, good or bad.

ย

"Ah, he's here." the red-headed boy spoke.

ย

"I cannot believe you all. We were missing one new student so I went to find them." Crowley berated, obviously proud that he noticed. He then turned to the girl behind him.

ย

"You are the only one yet to be assigned to a dormitory. I shall watch over the cat. Now step in front of the Dark Mirror."

ย

Grim narrowed his eyes at this and shrieked angrily into his gag.

ย

"For the last time, the cat isn't mine..."Odelia sighed to Crowley.

ย

"Well? Hurry now." Crowley said impatiently, tapping his shoe on the floor.

ย

Odelia looked hesitant under her hood before she climbed up the podium with a large mirror hanging from the wall.

ย

"State thy name." Odelia gasped softly as green flames rose steadily in the mirror before a mask appeared. It was white with another image of a black, lacy mask over it.

ย

"Odelia Potter"

ย

Whispers rose at the name.

ย

"Isn't that a girl's name?"
"Isn't this an all boy's school?"

ย

Wait-hold that question. All boys school?

ย

"Odelia.. the shape of thy soul is.." Odelia held her breath.

ย

"I do not know." her eyes widened comically.

ย

"Come again?" Crowley asked, his hands folding itself over his chest with his eyes narrowing.

ย

"I sense magic from this one...ย However, the colour, the shape, are all unknown to me. Therefore, they are suited for no dormitory."ย  Odelia grimaced. First hour at a new school and she had already gotten a reputation.

ย

The whispers rose into mummering as Odelia's hands tugged the hood of the robe lower.

ย

"Impossible! An Ebony Carriage would absolutely never go to meet someone who isn't assessable by the you!" Crowley yelled at the mirror. "In 100 years there has not once been a mistake in student selection! So why in the world..."

ย

"Mghmgh...Pah!" Odelia spun to the sight of Grim spitting the gag out and climbing out of the whip when Crowley loosened his grip on the whip in shock. "Then I'll take their place!"

ย

" Stay right there! Cat!" Crowley screamed.

ย

" Unlike that dumb human, I can use magic! Let me in the school instead! " Grim ignored the Headmaster. "If you need proof, I'll show you right now!"

ย

The red-haired boy's eyes widened. "Everyone, get down!" he commanded, tackling Odelia to the ground just in time as a stream of blue fire hurled where she had been standing seconds earlier, setting it aflame.

ย

"Nnnaaah!" Grim yelled out as he let out a continuous stream of blue fire from his mouth.

ย

Soon enough, the chamber was up in flames as the neat crowds hurled into a flurry of panicked motions.

ย

"Waaaah! Hotttt! My butt's on fire!" the boy with white hair and burgundy eyes shrieked as he tried to fan the flames away but only making it increase in size and volume.

ย

"Are you okay?" the redhead asked Odelia, helping her to her feet.

ย

"M' fine" Odelia mumbled, her head dipped down.

ย

"Good." the boy stated before turning to the culprit.

ย

"At this rate the school will be a sea of fire! Somebody catch that cat!" Crowley ordered. Odelia scrowled. Shouldn't he handle it himself?

ย

"Tch! Suck ups." the person with lion ears growled.

ย

"Hmm?" the blonde with lilac tips hummed. "Aren't you good at hunting? Doesn't it look like a nice, plump snack?"

ย

"Why me? Do it yourself" came the retort.

ย

"Mr. Crowley, please leave it to me." the Octavinelle housewarden smiled. "I'm sure the others couldn't stomach harrasing the poor creature, so i' ll take it upon myself.

ย

"Why you octo-punk" the tall, tan boy growled.

ย

"That's Azul for you. Always trying to earn himself points" the tablet spoke.

ย

"Unn, hey, could someone put out my butt fire already!?" the white-haired boy yelled, his eyes watering.

ย

Odelia gasped as she saw him trying to put out the fire on his butt.

ย

In a flash she sprinted to him, wand in her hand. As soon as she reached him, she spun him aroud and flicked her wand.

ย

"Aguamenti! " she whispered. Her wand shuddered before a continuous stream of water ejected from it.

ย

"Neh, are you okay?" Odelia asked, her emerald eyes wide under the hood of the ceromonial robes.

ย

"Ah! Arigato!" the boy practically cried tears of gratitude. "Odelia, right?" he grinned. "My name is Kalim. Kalim Al-Asim!"

ย

A terse smile was all he could see under the dark shadow of the hood still low over Odelia's head.

ย

"Are you all even listening!?" Crowley demanded.

ย

"Sheesh. Do it on your own, excuse of a Headmaster." Odelia mumbled with a huff as she crossed her arms across her chest, unknowning of the ears that heard her.

ย

She yelped at the fresh wave of flames that barely grazed the side of her arm just after she crossed them. Just barely a second before she'd crossed her arm and it would have gotten scorched.

ย

"Is there no way to put out the fire?" Odelia asked.

ย

"Uwahh!" Kalim suddenly cried out, startling Odelia. He then pulled out a pen topped with a red crystal before grinning at her.

ย

"I forgot all about it! Thanks for reminding me." Kalim grinned. Before Odelia could ask what she reminded him of, he thrust his hand with the pen into the air above.

ย

"๐“ž๐“ช๐“ผ๐“ฒ๐“ผ ๐“œ๐“ช๐“ด๐“ฎ๐“ป!" rain started to fall from the sky, extinguishing the flames that Grim had sparked.

ย

"If it's just catching some stupid cat, can't you do it yourself, teach?" the boy with lion ears complained.

ย

"How many times do I have to tell you, I'm not a cat!" Grim yowled angrily. "I, the Great Grim will become the greatest magician ever!"

ย

"It certainly has moxie." Azul laughed, a hand pulling out a pen with a blue crystal set at the top before turning to the boy that helped Odelia earlier. "Care to help me Riddle?"

ย

"I can't overlook this who break the rules. Let's hurry and get this over with." Riddle sighed, a hand reaching for a similar pen, only this one had a red crystal similar to Kalim's on the top.

ย

"I'll help." Odelia volunteered, her phoenix feather wand in hand.

ย

Her volunteer earned her some mummers and whispers as she joined her two new upperclassman.

ย

A freshman fighting a monster? Psssh. Nearly impossible. They'd only mess things up for the person fighting the enemy.

ย

But the keyword is 'nearly'. And if there's one thing they will learn, is that Odelia Potter didn't do normal.

3)Cส€แดœแด‡สŸ Aษดsแดกแด‡ส€!

ย

Grim yowled, sparking more flames. To Odelia' s surprise, Azul effortlessly put out the flames with a sharp swipe of his pen.

ย

The female narrowed her eyes as she pointed her wand at the cat, unknowing of the sharp eyes that were fixed on her wand, which was free of the standard crystal that they used to contain blot, and jabbed it in Grim's direction.

ย

Braided ropes spun into existence to the shock of many and winded itself around the cat, around it's body once, its hands twice before it bound the hands and body together tightly.

ย

With another flick of her wand, Grim was hoisted into the air by his ankle.

ย

Odelia spun to Riddle, her head tilted slightly to Grim's direction as to incline him to do whatever he wanted to the troublesome cat.

Riddle yelled pointing his pen at Grim, not sparing a second after he deciphered hidden message in Odelia's movement.

"Nygah! What the heck is this!?" Grim shrieked as a heart collar appeared around his neck. It was half red, half black with a golden lining. The end of the heart's golden lining curled out, hooking with a padlock.

"Laws of the Queen of Hearts : Number 23, 'One shall never bring a cat into the festival.' You being a cat means you've broken the rule. I shall have you leave at once."

ย

"I'm not a cat!" Grim shrieked, completely fed up with being called a cat. "I'll burn this collar right up and.." Grim's nose scrunched up in concentration before his blue eyes widened. "E, eh? I can't use my fire!"

A languid smirk grazed Riddle's lips. "Hmph! You won't be using any magic until I remove the collar. Just like an ordinary cat."

"Wh-what!? I'm not some pet. " Grim whined, his pride bruised.

"Don't worry, I'd never keep a pet like you." Riddle huffed. "I'll take it off anyway when you get thrown out."

"Wow, as wonderful as ever." Odelia turned to Azul in confusion.

Azul, slightly amused at the puppy-like way she tilted her head in enquiry explained. "Any and all magic gets sealed by Riddle's Unique Magic."

Here, Azul's voice turned into a mummer. "I want it..." his words trailed off before he shook his head. With his next words, his voice returned to its usual volume. "No. I wouldn't ever want that cast on me." he mock shuddered.

"You must do something about this! This is your familiar!" Odelia spun to Crowley, her cheeks stained a bright pink at being called out for something she didn't even do.

ย

Her embarrassment only grew when she saw Riddle, Azul and Kalim look at her confused and accusing looks on their faces. She clenched her hand into a fist.

ย

"Properly discipline-"

ย

"THAT THING AIN'T MINE!" many people jumped at the shriek that rang out in the room. Heads turned to the person responsible, Odelia.

ย

From what they could see of her, her hands was folded against her chest, a scrowl marring plush, pink lips. From under her hood, her eyes burned with anger and annoyance. Her wavy hair curled into corkscrew curls.

ย

"Eh? It's not yours?" Crowley asked tentatively.

ย

"I ain't ever seen it before in my life. " Odelia spat out, agitated. "How many times do I have to tell you that it isn't mine!?Incompetent excuse of a Headmaster.." the last sentence was muttered hatefully under her breath.

ย

"Y-you did?" Crowley stammered out, embarrassed as eyes threw accusing glares at him. He flinched at the scatching look bright emerald eyes threw him under the hood of the new student. They looked eerily similar to the Diasomnia Dormitory Head, without the dark green silts.

ย

"Ahem. Anyway, let's get it out of the school at any rate. We won't turn you into stew. For I am gracious." Wait-turn it into stew!? Gross! Odelia made a face under the shadow of her hood.

ย

"Someone help. Please" the please sounded as if it was added as an afterthought, Odelia thought suspiciously.

ย

She and many others jumped as 2 ghosts flew up from the floor and seized Grim by the arms.

ย

"Gyaaa! Let me go!" Grim squealed out, hoisted into the air.

"I'm going to, going to... Become the greatest magician!" he continued, his voice growing louder as theย  ghosts pulled him out of the door.

His voice faded out as the doors shut with a loud bang.

"Merlin, now I'm starting to feel bad for him... Why was he so desperate to get in here anyways?" Odelia sighed, the grey cat unknowingly tugging on her emphatic heartstrings.

"We had a bit of trouble along the way but this brings the entrance ceremony to a close. Dormitory Heads, please show the new students back to the dormitories." he announced to the room before turning around with a frown. "Hmm? Now that I think about it, I don't see the Housewarden for Diasomnia, Mr Draconia, around at all..."

ย

"Eeh? Did you forget to tell him about the ceremony?" Odelia blinked, now just paying attention to the empty stand with a crowd students crowding around it.

ย

"That's no different from usual, is it?" the boy with lion features snorted.

ย

"What? Did nobody tell him about the ceremony?" Kalim asked.

ย

"If you're going to complain, you should have done it yourself." the boy with blonde hair dipped in purple answered primly.

ย

"Aah. But I don't really know anything about that guy." Kalim frowned, a pout on his lips.

"By Draconia... Do they mean 'that' Malleus Draconia?"
"Is he seriously attending this school?"
"Scary..."

"I was correct." Odelia gasped as a boy appeared on the uplifted platform.

He had pale skin, as pale as her, which was saying something considering she spent a long time in the cupboard under the stairs and later on, in Dudley's spare bedroom. He had black hair with pink streaks, as well as fuchsia eyes.

"I thought he might come but Malleus really didn't." he frowned, crossing his arms before continuing. "It seems the invitation 'never arrived' again."

"Eeh? That's rude." Odelia frowned, feeling bad for the mysterious Malleus Draconia. She related to him on the fact that when she was younger, she never got invitations to anything on the rumours that she was rude and on her aunt and uncles' behest.

"My deepest apologies. I promise, we didn't intend to exclude you-I mean him." Azul frowned.

Odelia narrowed her eyes at this display. "Faker. If you're gonna admit, at least be truthful.." she mumbled, pursing her lips.

"His aura makes it hard to approach him." Riddle admitted with a sigh.

"That isn't a good excuse at all" Odelia sighed turning back to the 'Diasomnia' crowd before she flinched at the bright pink eyes that was fixed on her. She had a prickling feeling that he heard everything somehow...

She slowly exhaled as he shot a small smile at her before he turned to the other Dormitory Heads.

"It's fine." he started to walk down the platform. "Members of the Diasomnia Dormitory can come with me. I hope this doesn't upset him..."he mumbled the last sentence softly to himself as he passed Odelia on the way.

One by one, Housewardens, along with their dormitory students passed her.

Riddle gave her a curious look. Leona, an appraising look. Azul gave her an endearing smile. Kalim practically beamed at her. Vil looked at her suspiciously and the floating tablet didn't acknowledge her at all.

"Then, Odelia. I'm terribly sorry about this but... We must have you leave the school. Those who are not sorted within a dormitory cannot be allowed to attend class here."

"I completely understand." Odelia answered, her heart sinking into her stomach. Was this it? Did she have to go back? Back to all the scrutising of the Wizarding World? All the attention? And what of her supposed best friends?

"There is no need to worry. The Dark Mirror will send you directly back from whence you came." Crowley comforted, wrongly interpretating her tone. He lifted the staff, hitting it once on the floor before a coffin similar to the one Grim forced the lid off.

"Enter the Gate, and picture your home clearly in your mind..." Crowley instructed. Odelia slowly walked into it before closing her eyes.

But where really was home now? Privet Drive? No, she absolutely hated it there. Hogwarts? As much as she thought of it as home, the thought of Death Eaters and Dumbledore there repulsed her. The Burrow? She couldn't possibly live with Ron and the memory of Fred. Grimmauld Place? Again the memory of her dead godfather and Death Eaters repulsed her. With Andromeda? Now could she possibly live in there with her constantly reminding Andromeda she was the reason why Ted, Tonks and Remus was gone?

With that, she picked up a whole lot more of panic. Andromeda was old as she was, and the shock of her daughter and son in law dead was sure to shock the old lady to an early death, loath as much Odelia would like to think. Who would take care of Teddy?

"Oh Dark Mirror! Guide this one back to the place they belong!"

No response.

"Eeh? Once more. Oh Dark Mirror! Guide this..."

"It is nowhere..."

What?! Her eyes shot open as she walked out of the coffin.

"Eeh?"

"The place he belongs is nowhere in this world." the Dark Mirror repeated. "It simply does not exist."

"Impossible.." Odelia whimpered as her legs suddenly gave up on her, sending her crashing onto the ground.

What would happen to Teddy if something happened to Andromeda? Death Eaters were still there after all. Not all came to the Battle Of Hogwarts. It wouldn't be hard to arrange a so called 'accident' for her. And plenty would be willing to take on the job to rid the world of a blood traitor.

Would Teddy be given to the Wellcare of Children? She was still alive! She could take him if only-

Blackness took over her vision.

"Wake." a voice pierced through the darkness before she forced her eyes open.

She blinked before she internally screamed in frustration. The whiteness of the infirmary with the scent of antibacteria was easy to remember despite her bleary eyes and stuffed nose.

Her eyes slowly refocused to see concerned pink eyes of the boy who led the Diasomnia students.

"I'm apologise for putting you to sleep without consent but you were almost catatonic when Crowley asked for me." he frowned. What? All she remembered was darkness.

"Did you not remember me trying to wake you from your daze? You did not respond to me, nor Lilia when I asked for him. So I asked him to enchant you to sleep." Crowley said, face poking into her vision.

"I.. How long.." Odelia mumbled her hand slowly going to her head.

"You were out for around 2 hours." Lilia responded immediately. "After that I thought it would be enough time to wake you up."

A black glove capped with golden claws waved a letter into her vision.

"This appeared around an hour after you passed out. Along with-" Crowley started.

"Crowley. I thought we agreed to wait until she gets proper rest." Lilia bit in with a frown.

"Ah." Crowley faltered. Odelia narrowed her eyes before she mustered up the strength to lift her arm.

Crowley yelped as a pale hand snatched the wax-sealed envelope out of his hands. At the sight of that, she peered down to see the purple robe gone. She was left dressed in a black button up shirt with gold patterns.

"Ah! You shouldn't stress yourself! The rest I put you in was just barely the healthy amount of rest for a human." Lilia instructed her.

"But I did rest." Odelia promptly answered, her attention fixed on the letter in her hand as she studied the wax seal. It had a small hand holding a wand in its hand.

She slowly felt dread pool in her stomach. She knew that seal. It was the seal for the Wellcare of Children Department. She slid a finger under the seal, slowly prying it off.

She held a breath as the final piece unstuck. Her fingers trembled as she selected the smaller piece of parchment and unfolded it.

Andromeda was dead? It couldn't have been. And a heart attack could be faked. And wait-.

She squinted her eyes at the word 'toodler'. Last she remembered, Teddy was only a couple months old. She turned the letter around, her eyes dancing over the customary adress the Wizarding World used.

5th September 2002. The Battle of Hogwarts just took place last night! And she was absolutely sure it was somewhere in May.

"Uh. If I may ask, what is the date?" Odelia rasped out, her throat dry.

"It's the 10th of September 2022." Lilia responded. Odelia quickly did the math in her head.

How?

She fell down the canyon somewhere in March 1998. Andromeda died somewhere near the 5th of September 2002 and it was now the 10th of September 2022.

She travelled 24 years forward in time? And the letter somehow made it 20 years forward in time.

"Hello?" a voice peeped.

Her head shot up to look at a 4-ish year old boy with light blue hair and purple eyes. He wore a knitted sky blue sweater with a pair of grey pants. A worn out brown teddy bear was clutched tightly in his hands.

Lilia sighed softly, bringing her back to her senses. What was she doing? Had nearly a year of on the run taught her nothing?

She clambered out of bed, rechecking to see if her wand was still in her wandholder. It was.

"Miss Potter. Please don't stress yourself-" Crowley started before he was interrupted.

"Potter? Are you Odelia Potter?"the boy blinked, tilting his head the side slightly.

"How do you know my name?" Odelia demanded, before berating herself for the stupid question. Of cource, his parents probably told him that she was the saviour, blah blah bl-

"That's my godmother. Grandma Andy said she secluded herself after the War!" the boy chirped, his light blue hair changing to a bright yellow.

Odelia froze, ignoring the gasps that Lilia and Crowley let out at the shock of him changing his appearance.

Metamorphagis. There were only two people alive who had that genetic skill. One was Nymphadora Tonks, who died. And she had a child.

The child who was supposed to be a baby. But that didn't matter. She rushed to him, quickly sweeping his long bangs off his forehead while the child giggled in amusement.

An odd birthmark the shape of a crescent moon. She remembered Remus being so afraid that he was going to inherit his werewolf condition no matter how any times she assured him that it didn't work like that. An unique, magical birthmark that changed with every cycle of the moon.

"Teddy?"
