Katara emerges from the healing hut, wiping her hands on her apron and smiling when she sees Zuko come into view.
"All go okay?" he asks.
"Yes, the termination was completed," she tells him.
He looks confused.
"The termination of what?"
"Of her pregnancy," she tells him simply.
Zuko opens his mouth in surprise.
"You perform abortions?"
Katara frowns. "Of course. It's a really important part of knowing how to Heal."
"Huh." He looks at the ground thoughtfully. "They're outlawed in the Fire Nation."
It's Katara's turn to be surprised.
"What, really? Why?"
Zuko shrugs.
"Always need more soldiers, I guess. And they're supposed to be really dangerous."
Katara shakes her head.
"They're not. Abortions are less dangerous than taking out someone's wisdom tooth. They're less dangerous than a lot of things I do." She pauses. "Zuko, I think it's really important you change that law."
He nods slowly, throwing his arm around her shoulders.
"I think you're right."
