The beginning
I was sitting on the couch in the living room in our home, which was currently covered with Halloween decorations, ( because, “ he deserves a nice Halloween James!”). Lily was sitting on the floor playing with harry and a stuffed black cat Minnie had bought him for his birthday, I smile as I remember the look of betrayal on Sirius’ face when lily helped him open it and Harry hugged it. I come back to reality when I hear the door bell ring. it’s very late, almost 10, who would be here now? Let alone ring the door bell. “ that better not be any of them!” Lily groaned from the floor. “ Remus and peter are both on missions, and Sirius has a key so it shouldn’t be.” I say as I look at her. ‘Could it be tho?’ I wonder as the bell rings again. “Should we answer it?” She asks as she gazes at me from her spot on the floor with our son, looking unwilling to move to the door. “Ill get it, could be order business.” I reply as I move to stand. I hear my bones crack as I stretch my body.
I look down at the floor, at my son and my wife, my family. Lilys lovely hair tied back to unveil her beautiful green eyes, almost identical to our son except the gold flakes. I glance at my son, who looks identical to me, all but his eyes. I smile fondly at them, my family, not all of them tho some are missing, Sirius, my brother, Remus, my brother in-law, my mom an dad. Non of them are here, not now. But that’s fine, they are enough.
I move towards the door as i wonder still who it could be. I stop in front of the door as i realize i don’t have my wand, it should be fine tho, they’re under protection and peter wouldn’t hurt them,right? I put my hand on the knob while i think about my parents ‘we should visit them’ i think as I open the door. I barely open the door a crack before it flies open. I’m greeted by a very panicked looking peter shoving his way through the door, i barely move out of the way before he makes his way in the house. “You guys have to get out of here!!” He says as he pants and clings to the door way. “Peter, mate, what are you talking abou-“ I begin to say as lily makes her way towards the doorway with harry in tow. “ he knows!”peter says as he attempts to catch his breath. “ you need to go! Anywhere! Just don’t stay here!” He says as he shoves a note into my hand. “ this will explain it all! Now go!” Lily looks at me and harry looks confused and as though he may cry. “GO!” He screams as lily and I run out the door as I’m leaving I look back at him “what about you!?” I ask. He looks me in my eyes somberly “I will face what i have done head on. Now go!” He says as he shoves me out the door and it shuts with a loud bang behind me.
I look over at lily and she looks back at me, I grip the letter in my hand as I look at our son crying in his mothers arms. “Where should we go?” Lily asks , she sounds as though she may begin to cry with our son. “My parents. Do you have your wand?” I ask, hoping she has it, we shouldn’t go anywhere any other way than apperation. She pulled out her wand and hands it to me and i take it from me and pull her to me. We apperate , harry crying and her almost, we arrive at my parents wondering what to do with ourselves.
