Cool Metal
Ochako hit the ground hard, her palms sliced open instantly on impact, bits of cement and glass from fallen buildings lodging into her skin. She dared a look behind her, where her pursuer was skipping easily along the battlefield, holding a knife that gleamed maciously on the faint rays of sunlight through rain-darkened clouds, yellow eyes stark against the dreary scenery. She yelped in pain, clambering on her hands and knees through the destruction, each press of her palms to the ground sent pain searing up her arm, forcing tears into her eyes. She drew in shaky, panicked breaths as she tried to regain her bearings, lungs burning and dust floating around in clouds through the air.
Uraraka heaved herself up on weak joints once she was sure there was enough of an opening, her legs nearly giving out in protest as she started running with all the strength she could muster, driven by the urge to get as far away from that twisted grin as possible. Every nerve in her body flamed in protest as she forced her limbs to move, bounding around debris and praying to whatever power might be out there to save her. She was too weak to run much farther, she couldn't use her quirk, her classmates were all at the edge of the battlefield, blurred by her tears, screaming and shouting her name.
"URARAKA COME ON!" Jiro shouted, followed by a;
"PLEASE WE HAVE TO GO!!" From Mina.
Suddenly the tears were pouring, hot and searing against her wind chilled, dirty skin. Was she going to die? Ochako didn't want to die like this.. what would happen to her parents? Her friends?
She screamed out, throat raw from dishing out commands earlier.
"IM TRYING!"
She cried desperately, chancing another glance behind her, Toga was catching up, that knife smeared with the blood of her comrades was her main focus. Everything was beginning to get slurred, her head pounded, her joints ached, lungs struggling to keep pace with her running. She looked ahead to see Kirishima running in, arms and legs hardened to accompany the debris as he rushed towards her.
Just a few more meters.. She thought, using the back of her torn up sleeve to wipe the tears away, she could do it. Suddenly there was an arm around her waist, and the sensation of cool metal biting into the skin of her neck, followed by a series of screams, dirt and rock crunching under the feet of multiple people.
Toga smiled from behind her, that sick smile, with that amused glint in those eyes, yellow like a dandelion as she pressed the knife into her skin. Ochako went limp in her arms, too tired to fight back, maybe she wasn't as strong as she thought.
Behind her a whirring sound rang out faintly through her quickly hazing vision, and then they were moving again, Himiko walking backwards into Kurogiri's abyss colored portal.
The last thing she saw before blacking out was her classmates, all running at full speed, trying to reach her before the portal did.
It was too late, and the portal swallowed them before vanishing in an instant, warped to who knows where.
