PROLOGUE

A man with a glowing element in his chest was looking at the picture he had gotten taken of his three children. His two sons and his daughter. Glancing to the pile next to him, he saw a glint of metal that caught his eye.

Gingerly picking it up, he dusted it off and saw something he never thought he would ever see again. It was a picture of the Avengers from 'Civil War', plus the kids of him and his companion, Clint Barton. The man sighed sadly, running a finger across his kids smiling faces. Why? Why do this? Why take his kids? Why take his joy?

It wasn't just his kids that were taken. James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes was taken that dreadful day as well. To think it had already been five years since his kids and Bucky were taken, and the man will admit that it did hurt. After the incident he had made sure there was more protection around the tower, around the compound.

Even if his kids weren't with him and his wife anymore, at least not physically, he still kept their room the same. The only thing he had changed? He had added three more sections. One for Rosalice Orion, the other girl who had been taken, and his two kids; Morgan P-H. Stark and Georgie N. Stark. Yeah, Tony Stark had lost his kids all those years ago But he was going to get them back, be it today, be it tomorrow, be it eight years. He was going to get them back, even if it costed him his life. He would get Bucky and his kids back, with or without the Avengers.

They were going to come home.

CHAPTER 01

"Are you ready, Dragon?" A boy with brown hair and brown doe-like eyes asked as they were getting ready. The person who he was talking to, a girl with long brown ahir and hazel eyes, simply nodded. It had been five years since they had joined HYDRA, even if they were told it was by will the team of deadly assassins always questioned it.

"Ready as I'll ever be, Spider." The girl, Dragon, responded. The two shared a look before they went into the mind-link HYDRA had set up for them when they had successfully completed their part of the mission and handed it over to them.

Who's ready for today?

Not me. I'll never be ready.

Really, Soldier?

Really, Hurricane.

You guys are weird I swear.

Wolf, have you looked in the mirror recently?

Spider, I swear!

Oooh, Boss will have your head if you go on a tangent again, you know that!

Whatever, Dragon.

Whatever Wolf.

That was when the speaker overhead sounded. "Dragon, Wolf, Spider, Soldier, Hurricane. Hurry. Up."

"Yes sir!" They all replied before rushing towards where their Boss was waiting for them.

"You're dead." Dragon whispered in Wolf's ear as she sat down at the head of the table, being the leader of the team known as the Winters. "What do you need us to do, sir?"

"I want you to get Stark's children, his twins." Lucifer Moonshine, their Boss, ordered. The team nodded, looking at each other.

He's going to put us in the rooms, be ready.

The other four members of the team nodded in agreement, starting to prepare their minds for the onslaught of what was to come. "Sir, who are Stark's kids? We need to know who we're looking for." Dragon asked, looking at the file that she had been given about one of Stark's kids.

Morgan P-H. Stark. Huh... Why... Why does the name 'Morgan' ring an unfamiliar bell, as if there was something Dragon was forgetting... Was someone called 'Morgan' a victim to her team's attacks? Did they target this child before, yet failed? Or was it merely spoken of but never acted upon? What was it about this one name?

NAME: Morgan Peter-Harley Stark
AGE: Five
GENDER: Female
DoB: May 29, 2018
EYES: Brown
HAIR: Brown
FAMILY: Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, Renesmee Aku-Stark, Peter Parker-Stark, Harley Keener-Stark, Colonel James Rhodes, Georgie Nessa Stark

Huh...

"Who's Renesmee Aku-Stark, Peter Parker-Stark and Harely Keener-Stark? Do you have any files on them?" Hurricane asked, passing the file over to her leader as she was passed the file on the male twin; Georgie N. Stark.

"We do. We have files on everyone important. We already took care of them though, so it doesn't matter." Lucifer replied. Hurricane glanced at her leader to see her ignoring everyone as she looked at the file, eyes blank.

Dragon? Everything alright?

Dragon?

Drag?

Dra? What's wrong, kid?

Who was...

Who was who?

Who was 'Nessa'?

Who?

I've never heard of her... Why?

'Georgie Nessa Stark'. That's the boy's full name. Why target a child of Tony Stark?

Don't know.

Hurricane snapped out of it as she watched Wolf and Spider's eyes go blank as they both looked at the girl's file.

Spider? Wolf? What's wrong?

Who was Peter?

And who was Harley?

I don't know, honestly I don't...

I'm sorry...

CHAPTER 02

Tony was just washing the dishes when it happened. He hadn't meant to stumble across it, but he did without much... hesitance. Why? Why did he stumble across the motionless image? Why did he want to? Was it to give himself a sense of comfort, hopefulness, at the sight of them after five years? That's when the realisation of how long it had been really hit him, unlike when he just sat there in the stoic silence.

It had been five years. Not one, not two, not three or four! Five. They had been gone for five years, 60 months, 1825 days, 120 hours, 7200 minutes, 432000 seconds. How could he so simply brush it off like it was nothing? They were gone! Vanished, non-existant. How... How could he allow his mind to do that?

"Daddy?" The grieving man was broken from his thoughts at the sound of his daughter's voice, Morgan Peter-Harley Stark. He wanted to honor his sons, Peter Parker-Stark and Harley Keener-Stark, after they had disappeared so randomly. When they were on their way home, his then-girlfriend-now-wife, Pepper Potts, had texted him saying that the adoption was successful; Peter and Harley were lawfully his children. He even got Harley's name changed to add a middle name, which was 'Jarvis'. Tony had chosen this to honor his old best friend and butler, Edwin Jarvis, as well as his old User Interface which was now in Vision.

Turning around, he saw his youngest daughter standing there. Her brown hair falling down her shoulders much like Renesmee's did so very often in the year after they had rescued her. "What are you doing up? You should be in bed." Tony whispered, trying not to wake anyone else even though no one else was really around them.

"I wanted to get a drink. And I wanted to see what you were looking at." The youngest Stark replied, sitting on her father's lap with a soft smile. "So, what are you looking at, Daddy?" The picture was clearer to Morgan now. There was three other people in the picture along with her Mother and her Father. Who were the three other people? And why weren't they around anymore?

"That's, umm, Peter, your older brother," Tony responded, pointing to where his Spiderson was, "that's Harley, your other older brother," Tony proceeded to point towards his other adopted son with a soft smile, "and that's your older sister, Renesmee." Tony finished, pointing at the girl that was underneath the main picture of Pepper and him.

"Why are they not here?"

"Well, they had to leave on a very, very long mission with their uncle Bucky. They don't know how long the mission will take, but so far it's been five years." Tony simply couldn't bring himself to look at his daughter. She had the same eyes as Pete did, same hair as Nessa, and same kindness that Harls had radiated. Georgie was similar, yet different, to his sister.

Georgie had Renesmee's hazel eyes, Harley's blonde hair, and the same childlike passion that Peter had radiated. He always caught him staring at the twins for different amounts of times, just thinking of what life would have been like if Harley, Peter and Renesmee hadn't left, if they hadn't been taken by HYDRA. If they stayed, and they could be a family like they had been for that single year before they were taken. It was dreadful, Tony felt so guilty. Even now, he couldn't forgive himself. That's why he was much more protetive with Morgan and Georgie than he was with the trio.

"Daddy, who's that?" Morgan asked as she pointed towards a corner where Tony saw a glimpse of white scales. Was that... No, it couldn't be... But... Should he put it past HYDRA for them to get his kids to take his other kids? He was honestly surprised he had to second guess the thought if he was being completely honest with himself.

"I-I don't know, sweetheart. But stay next to me for now, alright?" Tony responded, standing up with Morgan on his hip. That's when his mind flashed to Georgie. His son was still asleep in his and his sister's room, no way to protect himself. "Friday, is Georgie anywhere in the building?"

"He is, Boss. He is currently in-" Friday ceased to speak, causing panic to flame in the protective man's heart.

"Fri? Friday? Fri, what is it? Where's Georgie?" Panic seemed to snap at his very being like a wolf snapping at its prey in the wild. Just thinking of that made him think back to when he had read the file on Renesmee six years ago.

His eyes trained on the white dragon, he watched as she tilted her head slightly as she kept her eyes trained on him. "Daddy? Why is the dragon looking at us like that?" Morgan asked, hiding in her father's side. Tony, watching the dragon's eyes narrow on, what he thought was, him and his daughter, simply held Morgan ever tighter. He took a step back when she lunged, breaking through the window only to return with a child, his child. His Georgie.

Tony watched, flabbergasted, as she set Georgie down on the couch gently, standing protectively in front of him and growling at whatever was in the shadows. "You can't betray HYDRA, Dragon. You know this." A voice growled from the shadows, causing Tony to step back. Was that..? Was that Peter, his innocent little Peter?

In response, the dragon, known as Dragon, simply growled. There was no way in Hell was she allowing them to do what they wanted to these children. She had seen first-hand what HYDRA would do to you, no matter how much you wanted to fight it. You had to obey or else you would be punished. And their punishments were never fun or enjoyable. For them? Maybe. But for you? Never.

As if making a split second decision, Dragon wrapped her wings around Tony, Morgan and Georgie, the boy starting to wake up from his slumber. "Daddy!" Georgie cried, being separated form his father and sister. Pepper entered the room, only to see a white dragon growling towards the shadows and protecting her husband and two five-year-old children.

"Nessie...?" The woman whispered, walking closer slightly. Dragon turned her head and flew up, grabbed Pepper and set her down where her husband and two children were, putting her wings back up. She had to protect them, she had to protect her family.

CHAPTER 03

You wanna hurt 'em?
Evidently!
You'll have to go through me!

With that thought, Dragon roared. The roar sent a tremor through the tower, waking the other Avengers who rushed to the scene. That was when the other four entered. A lion, a bobcat, an orange Bengal tiger, and a black wolf walked out of the shadows, moving as one. The lion roared back, the others getting ready to pounce. However, Dragon seemed unfased.

Try it, I dare you.
Oh we will!
Need I remind you that I am your leader. Roaring won't make me give up, Soldier.
Then we'll take 'em by force.

With that, the four animals pounced on their leader. Dragon quickly pushed them away, her eyes burning pure hatred into the four of them for defying her.

Stand down. Now.
Why? So that we can get killed by Lucifer?
No thank you, D!
DON'T CALL ME THAT!

The Avengers watched on, watching as the pale dragon before them started to get more and more agitated as the four of them continued with what they were doing.

We can call you D if we want to, D!
I order you to stand down. NOW!

The other animals tensed as their leader's glare intensified. The first to drop was the bobcat, head bowed as her knees gave out from under her. She dropped, bowing to her leader. The second to drop was the Bengal tiger, his paws becoming weak and painful to stand upon and head seeming to be too heavy to keep lifted up. He dropped to a crouch, bowing to his leader. The third to drop was the wolf, his tail tucking between his legs. He dropped, bowing to his leader. Finally after what felt like an eternity, the lion dropped into a crouch as it became painful for him to disobey his leader. He dropped, ready to obey the leader of his team.

"What just happened?" Natasha whispered as they watched the white dragon start to relax, however her wings didn't relinquish their position. She wasn't letting her guard down quite yet. "Tony? Pepper? Morgan? Georgie? Are you four oaky?" That seemed to catch Dragon's attention.

Dragon immediately turned around, the animals continuing to bow. She gently lay down, resting her head on the ground to show she meant no harm. She whined slightly, gesturing with her nose to see the boy. Pepper and Tony, both anxious, shared a glance before the mother of five gently gave Georgie an encouraging push towards the mythical creature. When he didn't move, Dragon closed her eyes and stayed as still as she could. That seemed to bring comfort to the boy as he moved closer, resting a hand on the starry creature.

Dragon peeled her eyes open, looking into the boy's. "Daddy, who is that?" Morgan asked, joining her brother at the dragon's side. Dragon simply wrapped her tail around the two, lifting her head up from the ground once the twins were comfortable in her presence. That was when Steve took notice of the lion.

"Bucky?" He breathed, disbelief on his face. Dragon turned her head to look and growled at the man as he tried to step closer to them.

"We have a mission, Dragon. You know what will happen if we don't accomplish said mission!" Bucky argued, taking a step closer. That was when the others noticed the other three had transformed into Peter, Harley and Rosalice. They then seemed to notice that the dragon had transformed into Renesmee.

"I will not complete that mission. Not at the expense of two innocent children!"

"But they're not innocent! Can't you see that?!"

"Don't you see what Lucifer is getting us to do?! He's trying to get us to break Stark from the inside out!"

"Good!"

"How could you say that, Spider? You're never like this on a mission..."

"Well you're being an absolute idiot! We need to complete a mission and the only way to do so? Take the children! Let's grab them and go!" Tony and Pepper grabbed their children tighter.

"I-I can't and I won't. Their innocent, they haven't done any wrong to this world. They're five!"

"You're ridiculous! You don't deserve to be leader, Dragon!" Winter Hurricane shouted, causing Winter Dragon's head to snap towards her. Oh, I am so dead...

"What did you just say to me, Hurrciane?"

"N-Nothing!"

"What. Did. You. Say. To. Me?"

"I-I said you d-don't deserve t-to b-be l-leader." Hurricane stuttered. The Avengers watched as Dragon took a deep, calming breath.

"Get the kids out of here."

"Why should we listen to you? You wanted to take them!" Tony argued. Surprisingly, Dragon stayed calm.

She didn't think twice before transforming into her dragon, pouncing on Hurricane with an anger no one on the team ever wanted to face. The glare itself was terrifying enough. "Stop! Please!"

Get the children.
W-What? I-I thought...
Yeah? Well, get them. I'll distract them long enough for you to get them.
Then what?

Dragon turned to look at her team. the Avengers preparing for something they weren't prepared for.

Then we run.

CHAPTER 04

Then we run.

The other members nodded, transforming into their animals.

Let's get them. Winters!
Unite!
Unite!
Unite!
Unite!

The five pounced, white smoke filling the room which blinded the Avengers, Pepper and the two children who were slipping out of their arms. "Georgie! Morgan!" The two parents called, looking for their children, which just so happened to include Dragon, Spider and Wolf. They just wanted their children back, was that so much to ask?

"Mommy! Daddy!" The twins cried as they were picked up by the claws of the white dragon they had come to trust. Dragon flew out the window and droped them before flying underneath the two, catching them on her back.

Let's go! We need to get these two back to base!
Roger that, Kid!
Got that, Boss!
On it D!
Copy that!

With that, Winter Dragon flew back to the base where their boss was waiting for them with the two kids, her baby brother and baby sister, on her back. A sudden wave of guilt hit the young girl. How could she do this? They were her baby brother and baby sister, they had trusted her! Now? She wouldn't be surprised if they never trusted her again.

"I'm sorry." The girl-turned-dragon whispered to the two, before flying quicker. She had to get back before the rest of the team, she was the leader after all.

~

Back at the Avengers Tower, Tony Stark was pacing as a solemn Colonel James Rhodes comforted the grieving mother. He had just lost his two kids, along with his other three. They were just in his reach, and then he lost them all over again. His wife and mother of his children had trusted him to protect their family after what had happened to Nessa, Pete and Harls, and he failed her. He failed the whole team, again.

Why? Why did he always fail the team? Was he eve nsupposed to be here anymore? Was there a point?

There is a point, Uncle Tony. There always is a point. A voice spoke in his head. Wanda. That was the only explanation! Plus, her and Pietro were the only ones to call him 'Uncle Tony'. The other kids? Well, yeah, but they couldn't peak in his head. Unless they had somehow become mutated overnight and no one told him. Then again... Wouldn't Friday tell him? She is kinda programmed to do so...

"Tony? Are you alright?" The leader of the Avengers, Steve Rodgers, aka Captain America, asked. "Maybe sit down, you need to think logically about this." The kind man proceeded to guide the grieving father towards the couch, settling him down next to his wife. Tony's head fell into his hands, slow tears starting to fall down his rough cheeks.

"Tones?" Rhodey questioned, setting a reassuring and comforting hand on his best friend's shoulder once he knew Pepper was somewhat alright. Tony either ignored him, or his mind didn't register Rhodey's voice. Most likely the latter. "Tony? Tony, talk to me, bud."

"I lost them. I lost the kids again." The man whispered, Rhodey's face gaining a look of realization. The army man simply pulled the inventor into a comforting hug, to which Tony rested his head on his shoulder. He wasn't strong enough to protect his team and family, why was he here? He didn't deserve to be here...

That's when his courage started to return. He would get his children back, he would protect them fiercer than ever. He would get them back. His children would return.

~

It had been a year since they succeeded in the mission. Morgan Stark and Georgie Stark were finally a part of the team known as the Winters, HYDRA's elite team if you will. Over the past year, Lucifer had Renesmee train the two in their abilities, teaching them the languages they used (Spanish, Italian, German, French), and how to use the Mind Link. The two twins had created a name for themselves in the world of HYDRA, being the third and fourth youngest people to survive the experiments that HYDRA bestowed upon them so ruthlessly. It surprised everyone. The two had different names now similar to their other teammates (family). Morgan was known as Winter Fox, or Fox, and Georgie was known as Winter Storm, or Storm

Speaking of Fox, Storm and Dragon, the three of them were in the gym section of the base, speaking Spanish as they trained. Wolf, Spider, Hurricane and Soldier surprisingly didn't know Spanish which the trio used to their advantage.

"Entonces, ¿están listos para nuestra próxima misión?" Dragon asked from where she was taking off her pointe shoes. She loved to dance, even if she sometimes associated it with the cursed Red Room. She still loved it with all her heart. She was even starting to teach Fox!

"Sí. ¿Sabes lo que es?" Fox asked as she starte to undo the wrap around her feet from where she had done simple ballet instead of joining her sister in pointe.

"No. Pero escuché que iremos encubiertos a alguna parte." Dragon responded as they walked over to join their brother, Storm. "¡Hola tormenta! Cómo va la técnica?"

"Hola D! Lentamente está llegando allí. ¿De qué hablando ustedes dos? ¿La próxima misión?"

"Sí. Aparentemente, es una mission encubierta o algo así. Tendremos que esperar y ver, supongo." Dragon replied as the trio made their way to where they were going to get briefed on their mission. It would be the twins' first mission as part of the Winters, hopefully they did good!

"Suponer." The two replied before they entered the room where the rest of the team and Lucifer was.

"Sir." The three said in unison, taking their places at the table. Dragon at the head, Fox on her left and Storm on her right. It use to be Spider on her left and Wolf on her right but the new twins had seemed to have stolen the leader's attention from everyone else. Not even Lucifer could use his ability on the trio anymore. It gave all of HYDRA's soldiers and agents anxiety, waiting for the three of them to strike.

"What's our next mission, Sir?" The leader, Winter Dragon, questioned, her Spanish accent thick. The glare that she sent him sent shivers down his spine. She knew. She knew, and there was no one stopping her from telling the rest of the team. But... Why wasn't she? She knew what HYDRA didn't want her to and yet she didn't use it to her advantage. What type of game did she think she was playing? HYDRA would not hesitate to take out any threats, even if that meant a child.

Unfortuantly for HYDRA, Dragon knew this. She knew the extents HYDRA would go to to try and get people of gobsmacking strength to join their cause. I mean, look what they had done to Bucky, the Winter Soldier, the White Wolf! To Peter, the Winter Spider, Spider-Man! To Harely, the Winter Wolf! To Rosalice, the Winter Hurricane! To Morgan, the Winter Fox! To Georgie, the Winter Storm! nd now her, Renesmee, the Winter Dragon.

"You are going undercover on a mission to retrieve Michelle Jones, Eugene 'Flash' Thompson, and Ned Leeds. This undercover mission will take place at Midtown Tech. You will all be given fake names, fake accents, and will be classed as siblings. You all have the same schedule-" Lucifer was cut off.

"Sir, if you don't mind, I would prefer to have my lessons the same as those Wanda and Pietro kids, along with Fox and Storm. It makes sense, no?" Dragon asked, Spanish accent evident, as she tilted her head to the side, spinning a balancing knife she 'borrowed' (stole) from an unsuspecting HYDRA agent. The poor soul probably crapped his pants when he saw the kid, emerging from the shadows right behind him as he looked at the reflection in the knife.

"V-Very well, Dragon. You, Fox, Storm and.... those Pietro and Wanda kids will have the same schedules. Different from the rest of the team, I presume?" Lucifer asked, knowing the answer already. Dragon nodded, sitting back and kicking her feet up. She loved how, even though Lucifer was her 'boss', he didn't dare question her or look at her the wrong way. Then again, no one did. They knew what she could do, knew what she was trained to do since birth. It was a major shock to the Avengers, after they had found her, to find out that she had the sweetest heart like Peter did.

"Now, names." Lucifer continued, clapping his hands together. "Dragon? Any ideas?"

"Well, I was thinking that Fox, Storm and I could be siblings and the others could be family friends? Cousins?" Dragon suggested. Lucifer nodded begrudgingly, seeing how a flash of hurt flashed across Hurricane's face. "Cool. Mo- Fox, any ideas for surnames?"

"Umm... Abila." She replied. Dragon smiled, nodding. "George Abila, Rene Abila, and Maria Abila." Dragon and Storm nodded, before the trio left the others in the room. Like Hell were the three of them staying there when they could be doing other stuff, like trying to help their family to find them. The three of them knew that they had to leave this stupid place, they just didn't know how. It was thankful Wanda had kept in touch with the three of them through a mind link.

But they knew one thing for sure. They had to leave.

CHAPTER 05

A week later and Wanda was waiting in the lobby of the Avengers Compound for her twin brother to get ready to go to school. "Pietro! Come on, let's go!" The enhanced female called, knowing Friday had them connected. She could hear Pietro's sigh as he rounded the corner.

"Why? It's not like today will be any different, Wanda. You know this." Pietro argued. Only a few people knew that Wanda was connected through a mind link with Ness, Morgan, and Georgie. Those few people being Tony, Natasha, Bruce, Happy, Rhodey, Friday and Vision. For some reason, she couldn't trust Pietro to not blurb it out to everyone they met. For all they knew, this could all just be a trap on the kids end.

"You never know!" Wanda replied optimistically as the two made their way towards Happy's car. The man was waiting for the two, smiling at Wanda. Wanda, of course, returned the kind gesture. She was about to ask the bodyguard something when her phone pinged. She looked at the message displayed and saw one that made her heart skip.

D
Wanda?

It was Nessa.

PowerGirl
D? What's up?

D
We're right outside the school, waiting for you and Pie. D... Do you know if Dad'll trust me?

It was private. Wanda could tell by the fact that she couldn't see Georgie or Morgan's rambling in the chat, which usually gave her headache. Especially when the two spoke in Spanish. When Wanda showed it to Tony, he just chuckled and walked off whilst muttering 'they're Pepper's kids alright' or something like that.

PowerGirl
I'm sure he will.

D
How can you be so sure? Wanda, I kidnapped my siblings!

PowerGirl
Well, you'll just have to trust me on this one, okay? I know you can do this, D!

D
Nessa.

PowerGirl
What?

D
My name. It's not D, that's who HYDRA wants me to be. Nessa, is who I want to be.

Wanda felt a small smile tug at her lips as she changed the girl's name in her contacts ot 'NessieBessie'.

PowerGirl
It's good to have you back, Renesmee.

NessieBessie
It is, isn't it?

PowerGirl
You are definitely Uncle Tony's kid!

NessieBessie
Well, I am a Stark either way.
Much like Morgan and Georgie.

PowerGirl
Tru

NessieBessie
When will you be here?

PowerGirl
A little while longer, cousin
A little while longer.

NessieBessie
Tell Happy to hurry up!
I'm getting so booooooooooooooooored!!!!!!
The twins are so annoying, Wanda!

PowerGirl
Your problem!
Not mine!
Also, overdramatic much?

NessieBessie
I'm a Stark!
What did you expect me to do, cous?

Wanda simply shook her head with a soft chuckle, screenshotting and forwarding her conversation to Tony who replied with a smiley face and a cry laughing emoji. It was quite funny. If only Wanda didn't have to lie about knowing the daughter of Tony Stark, or being the child of Natasha Romanoff with her and her brother's friends, Michelle 'MJ' Jones, Eugene 'Flash' Thompson, and Ned Leeds. She just wanted to be a normal kid.

~

Dragon, Fox, and Storm were all waiting outside of the school for Wanda and Pietro, the twins they had grown so close with after their memories had come back half way through the year Morgan and Georgie were missing. Wanda, after finding the trio's numbers, added them to her phone and made a group chat with her, Morgan, Georgie, Renesmee, Tony, Natasha, Bruce, Happy, Rhodey, Friday and Vision. It surprised everyone that Vision knew how to use a phone, but then again should they have been?

You would think that Tony or Georgie or Morgan or Renesmee would be the most talkative, wouldn't you? Well, they're not. Not even close! It's actually Friday and Vision who are the most talkative in the group chat.

Renesmee smiled at her two younger siblings, watching as they squabbled over the latest fact they learnt. (Steve and Bucky had a thing for eachother that they didn't want to admit). "I'm telling you, Morgs!" Georgie exclaimed as he watched his twin sister jump off the railing where the two sat. "They'll get together soon, I bet you!"

"And if they don't? How much will I gain?" The youngest daughter of Stark asked as she leaned against the railing. "How much will you lose, brother?" Georgie simply shook his head as Renesmee chuckled. "What?"

"Oh nothing, nothing," Renesmee responded with a small smirk as her eyes watched Morgan walk towards the other railing only to be pushed down by a boy. "Hey! Watch where you're going, idiot!" The protective child growled as Goergie ran to help his sister.

"What are you gonna do 'bout it, Princess?" The boy asked, an infuriating smirk on his face. He had that stupid 'badboy' almost all of the highschool boys had. "Nothin'?" he feined shock before giving a soft chuckle and smirking again "Thought that would be your answer." He took a glance at where Morgan was getting up, Georgie sending a glare his way. "See ya 'round, Princess." With that, he and his 'friends' walked into the building.

"What just happened?" Morgan asked, the twins making their way over to their older sister.

"I think we just met the main bad boy of Midtown School of Science and Technology." Renesmee answered, not taking her eyes of the boy joking with his friends and messing with some of the freshmen. Oh was this school year going to be fun. "Let's wait for Wanda and Pietro before going in, we don't want a misshap like that to happen again. Understood?"

The twins looked at each other, a look of understanding going between the two that Renesmee didn't catch before looking back at their sister. "Understood." Ten seconds later, one of their father's Audis turned up and Pietro and Wanda stumbled out. Finally.

CHAPTER 06

Morgan watched as her older sister kept looking around, a look of confusion on her face. "What are you looking for?" Wanda asked after Renesmee kept swivelling her head around, as if looking for something... or someone. Said girl's head spun around to meet with their oldest female cousin's blue eyes.

"Nothing. What made you think that I was looking for something?" The girl asked, shaking her head and turning her attention back to searching for whatever she was searching for.

"Are you looking for Pete? Harls? Buck? Rose? Who are you looking for, Nessa?!" Pietro asked, a hand on his younger cousin's shoulder. Nessa sighed before shrugging.

"I dunno. Just this... person I met earlier. They were... disrespectful towards Morgs and I wanna teach 'em a lesson or two." The searching girl responded, deciding to not inform them of the real reason. She knew for a fact that Morgan would kill her for it, she didn't want Nessa killing anyone that wasn't important to their 'mission'.

"Who? Lucas Nicholbackson?" Wanda asked as they stopped at her locker. Renesmee hummed, leaning against the lockers with one foot resting against it and her arms crossed over her chest before her eyes caught onto a boy's gray orbs from across the hallway.

The world seemed to slow around the two, it was like they were the only ones in that hallway. It was Renesmee, the boy and nobody else, not even the soft breeze from the open windows that littered the long, rather large main hallway of Midtown Technology. It wasn't gravity holding either of them down anymore, it was each other. The want to be in the other's arms, to feel safe and wanted. It was funny, really - ironic, if you will. The bad boy falling for the good girl. They held eye contact for a moment longer, gray on hazel, before Renesmee looked away with a soft blush. What just happened?

~

A boy was laughing as one of his friends, James Porter, pushed a freshman away from him. He had hoped his friends hadn't noticed how he was looking for someone in the crowd ever since that encounter with the three newbies at the front of the school. His gray eyes searched for the one beautiful pair of hazel eyes that the boy had ever seen in his life, the ones he just couldn't seem to shake from his mind and believe him, he had tried so hard. Sure it was cheesy as hell, but wasn't everything when you were in highschool? That's when it happened.

Gray connected with hazel, and the world seemed to come to a slow halt. It was as if they were the only ones there, the only people who ever occupied the Earth. It wasn't gravity holding him down anymore, it was the girl who had stolen his heart the moment they layed eyes on each other. That was when he made a promise that he knew he would uphold forever. No matter what, he would protect her with all his heart.

It seemed that the lovesick boy hadn't noticed the other pair of eyes that was looking at the girl as well. Severus Custido, a boy who was in a similar boat to the new girl who had already stolen his heart without even uttering a word, had also got his black eyes caught by the girl's beautiful figure. He also made the same promise as the boy had done, but only slightly different. He would protect this girl with his very being, and make sure any man - or woman - who hurt her would pay. No one was going to hurt his Angel, not whilst he still had breath in his body.

~

"So, who are the newbies?" An Italian boy asked once he and two others, a girl and a boy, appeared. Renesmee simply continued to look at her schedule that she was trying to memorise.

"Flash, good to see you again." Pietro greeted, giving the Italian a bro-hug. "These are our cousins, George Abila, Rene Abila, and Maria Abila. They're Spanish." The three nodded, the girl catching Renesmee's eyes when a memory resurfaced for the two.

Peter, Harley and Renesmee were making their way to Peter's locker when they met up with Ned, Flash and MJ at Ned's locker. "Good morning." MJ greeted, wrapping an arm around the youngest of the group's shoulders. After finding out about the girl's past, MJ couldn't help but feel protective over the girl who had shuffled her way into the seemingly forever bored girl's heart. The head of the Midtown School Decatholon Team had really adopted the role of protective bestfriend/older sister. It really put Peter and Harley's minds at ease.

In response to MJ's greeting, Renesmee hugged her. She always greeted MJ with a hug, Ned a handshake and Flash a kind smile. She was never one to really like Italians very much, not after how her mother had described some of them during one of her very long rants. It was weird considering her twin sister was Italian, as was her mother, and her father was Russian but she was Spanish. It just never made any sense to her, even now.

"Let's get to class before we're late." Peter stated as the group made their way towards their homeroom class. Today was going to be a good day.

"MJ?" Nessa asked quietly as they sat side-by-side in their assigned seats in the classroom. MJ hummed in response, sketching Flash's face when Peter beat him in a simple game that the three Stark kids' father taught them. Something about flicking a piece of metal through thumbs? Not a clue, it went over Nessa's head at that. "Will you always remember me? If I'm taken, will you remember me?"

That question caused MJ to look up, shocked. How could a child, no less than ten, feel so scared that the girl who looked at this kid like her little sister feel scared that she would be taken again and that MJ would never remember her. It didn't make that much sense to MJ but she ignored it. Instead, she gently took Renesmee's small, pale hands in her own with a soft smile. "I'll always remember you, there's no way I could forget you. You're my little sister, there's no way in Hell would I forget you, Renesmee Aku." She didn't. She never did.

"Forever and always?" The insecure child questioned, looking at the sketch MJ was in the middle of doing.

"Forever and always." MJ confirmed. Oh how she wished it was true, how she wished that one promise would reverse everything that had happened.

MJ was shocked. The girl in front of her was little Renesmee Aku, the kid she had practically adopted as her younger sister, her bestfriend, her other half. "Renesmee?" The leader of the Decathalon Team whispered, disbelief spreading across her usually emotionless face. Renesmee's head snapped towards her, the same hazel eyes shining with recognition.

"Michelle?" Renesmee replied before hugging her older sister tightly. "I missed you, so much." In response to what Nessa had said, MJ tightened her grip on the girl in fear of her slipping away for five years again. "You haven't changed." Renesmee noted once they had pulled away.

MJ chuckled a wet chuckle. "Neither have you," MJ responded. After the two had parted, Flash wrapped the younger child in a tight embrace. Renesmee smiled, hugging back just as tightly.

"Never do that again, please, Squirt." The 'tough boy' begged, hiding his face in Renesmee's soft brown curls. Renesmee nodded, resting her head against her friend's chest. Wanda and Pietro looked at each other, a soft smile on their faces.

"What year are we going into, again?"

"Senior." Wanda replied, Morgan and Georgie under both her arms. "Last year of high school!"

"Awesome!" With that, the group of eight headed towards their homeroom class. As they did so, Wanda made a little promise inside of her head. We'll save you guys, I promise.

CHAPTER 07

Lucas was sat in his homeroom class when he noticed the girl he saw from before walk in with Wanda, Pietro, Ned, MJ, Flash, and two others that looked like they were five. How were they in the senior year? "Ah! Are these the new students?" Their homeroom teacher, Ms. Smithson, asked. Wanda and Pietro nodded, their eyes following the teacher as she made her way over to the three kids. They didn't trust her, Lucas noted, why? "It's a pleasure to have you three here! Your, uh, uncle called us and told us you were well educated."

"Yes." The adorably shy girl answered. Wait... 'adorably shy'? When did that happen?

"Well, your uncle sounded very nice."

The angel simply nodded, keeping her eyes downcasted. What did someone do to make such a beautiful angel so shy, scared? Something bubbled in Lucas' chest as he watched the girl walk by, their eyes connecting again before she looked away with a blush. She was gorgeous! (Where the hell was this coming form?!)

"Oooh! You looking at the new girl there, ey, Lucas?" One of his friends teased as Lucas continued to stare at the beautiful angel who seemed to hide behind her luscious chocolate brown locks. It shocked him to see such a beautiful face when he had only seen girls who coated their faces in makeup. No, she was different. The way her hair fell in front of her face when she looked down, how she would shy away from attention, how she would blush when someone complimented her... She was absolutely stunning to Lucas, no matter how many times people said she wasn't. But... What was her name?

"Rene Abila?" The teacher called, looking around the classroom. Lucas watched as the girl his heart had decided to... care for shyly raised her hand, hiding her face. She didn't want the world to see her, to see what had become of her. Again, why? "Maria Abila?"

"Present!"

"George Abila?"

"Present, ma'am."

Why were her siblings more talkative than she was? Did that man do something to her or...? What was going on with this girl? And why did it make Lucas like her even more?

~

Renesmee was walking to her locker a month later when she saw the same dark brown eyes that she had seen on her first day. She felt her heart swell as she looked at the boy on the other end of the corridor. Clearing her throat and looking away, she entered her code and opened her locker. She grabbed her Latin book and made her way towards Advanced Placement Latin.

Renesmee hadn't talked to anyone that wasn't originally in the group, or her team, for the whole month since they first started here. Why? The people who she didn't know judged her for finding a place in the heart of the school's bad boy, Lucas Nicholbackson. It wasn't her fault, though! The boy was a mystery. I mean, Flash was the bad boy once and Pietro had managed to find love in the boy. So why couldn't she find love in Lucas? Was it because he was different? But, wasn't he the same as Flash?

"Need someone to walk with you to class, Princess?" Ah, the nickname that had started since they first met. That was how Esme knew that it was Lucas and not a random jerk. Lucas always called her 'Princess', no matter what. Sending the handsome boy a generous smile, Renesmee replied with a soft hum and they headed to class. "I haven't seen you hang out with anyone but your siblings for the amount of time you've been here, what's up with that?"

"Oh, I don't think anyone likes me hanging out with you. I don't know why." Renesmee answered with a blush as she looked away. Why did she blush so easily around Lucas? How and why? Lucas chuckled softly, smiling at the girl who had stolen his heart, sending a tingle down Renesmee's spine. Just as Renesmee was about to ask the boy something, her phone started to ring. Pulling it out, she saw that it was her older cousin, Pietro, calling her. "I've got to take this, sorry. You go on ahead, I'll catch up."

"Alright." Lucas replied before walking to their classroom, trusting Esme to be safe.

"Pietro? What's up?" Renesmee asked, answering her phone.

"Where are you? We're waiting outside of the school for you."

"I'm heading to AP Latin. Or... I was. I was walking with Lucas when you called."

"Ugh! Everything is about him, why? Why not go for Leo? He's had his eyes on you for ages now! Plus, it might help people to, oh I don't know, like you here? You've been here for a month, svetlo hviezd, you need people to like you here! You need more friends than family and old friends, Nessa. I'm sorry, but it's true."

"Pietro! I can like who I want! Anyway, apparently we're supposed to have a surprise field trip in Chemistry. I'll see you in third hour." With that, the infuriated girl hung up. There was no way that she was going to stop hanging out with the boy she really liked just because no one liked it! Not in a million years!

"What was all that about?" Lucas asked once Nessa had sat down next to him where they were assigned to in their Latin class. Renesmee simply shook her head, a brown curl falling out of place. Smiling softly at the girl next to him, the lovesick boy gently tucked the rich chocolate brown lock behind the girl's small, pale ear which caused the pale girl to blush. "You're cute when you blush."

Renesmee looked down, suddenly going shy. "Th-Thanks. Thank you, Lucas," she whispered, looking at the boy through her lashes. She did have to admit, maybe her crush was a little bit unhealthy. But, then again, she was in her senior year of highschool. And, back at the base, there weren't many boys her age so... I guess it made it okay, right?

But why were Pietro and Wanda so against her getting a crush on the 'bad boy'? It was clear to everyone that he was hers!... Right? Or... Was he just using her to break her and try and use her more than he already was? Was Lucas Nicholbackson playing with her emotions? And if so, why? Renesmee wanted - no, needed - to know.

~

Wanda watched from her seat at the back of the classroom in their chemistry class as Lucas flirted with her baby cousin. He's going to break her heart, and she won't even notice until it's too late. It always happens with the bad boys of the school. Shaking her head, she continued on with her task. She would wait for Nessa to break, then pick up the pieces. Not before they fell, not yet. It wasn't the right time just yet, they had to wait a little longer, just a little longer.

"Wanda, what are we waiting for?" Morgan, Wanda's younger cousin and younger adopted sister to Renesmee, asked as they waited outside of their third period class, Algebra. "We need to go before we get yelled at... again. You know how strict Ms. Agatha is about loitering around a classroom for too long!"

"I know, I know." The paranoid girl replied, keeping her eyes trained on the classroom. "I'm just worried about Nessa. She likes Lucas, and I don't want her to get her heart broken." They failed to notice the people in the shadows. They were watching, waiting, for the perfect time to strike when they faltered.

Their leader, their baby sister, had found love on the mission. That wasn't allowed, and yet here she was. She wasn't afraid of Lucifer, that the two knew. But she was afraid of getting judged by the two, the Soldier, the Storm, and the Fox. She was afraid of her team's judgment, so she created a façade. And when that façade breaks down, they finally get a glimpse of the real Dragon and, to be honest, they aren't surprised that their leader would create the façade she did.

The Dragon they knew, their leader, was strong, didn't take nobody's shit. But the Dragon they didn't know? Their baby sister underneath their leader? She was scared, scarred, terrified of Lucifer. Their baby sister was tortured, nightmare ridden, paranoid and beyond shy. Whenever they were able to get glimpses of the real Dragon, she would quickly cover it up. She didn't want anyone to see, especially not her team, her family.

What would they think of her? How would they treat her? And so the Dragon the two knew, their leader, their superior, was created in place of the real her. Why? So she wouldn't have to face her team's judgmental minds, eyes and their disapproving looks. She just wanted to be the leader HYDRA had created her to be, she wanted to believe the façade that HYDRA made her create. But both the boys knew she wouldn't last, both of them knew it was only a matter of time until she broke.

And when she did? They would be there to help Wanda, Pietro, Morgan, Georgie, MJ, Ned, and Flash to pick up the pieces and help mend their sister. Because that was what Renesmee needed. She didn't need a team, a group of enhanced, tortured, mindless individuals to help her. No, she didn't need that. What did Renesmee Imani-Antonia Aku-Stark, Winter Dragon, need? She needed a family. And the two would join the people they were turned against to help them.

They would become the family that Renesmee needed, even if it killed them.

CHAPTER 08

Renesmee had just been walking towards her friends when she heard the two voices. Was that... Lucas? And... Who was the other voice? "She's really dense, you know that, Lukey?" The second voice, which was definitely not Lucas', asked. Lucas made a humming sound of agreement, not actually speaking. "Lukey, baby, I need you to speak for me. I need to hear your voice, baby."

"Fine. She is dense, really desne. But she is smart. Desne, but smart." Lucas replied, before going back to doing whatever he was doing. It was silent before Lucas spoke again. "What if I don't want to hurt her?"

"And why wouldn't you? She's a nobody, Lucas. Even ask Maya, she knows that girl's a nobody." The second voice replied. Who was 'she' and why was she a nobody? Renesmee was beyond confused. "Come on, Lucas! Don't tell me you actually have feelings for her?! She's a nobody, Lucas! Nobodies don't need or deserve us to waste our time on them. They have themselves and that's all that matters to them. I don't matter to her, you don't matter to her, I bet her family doesn't matter to her!"

"That's where you could be wrong though, Eva! What if she does have a family, but it's the other way around? What if she doesn't matter to them? What if she doesn't matter to you? What if she doesn't matter to me? It could be the other way around, Eva!" Lucas argued back. Who were they talking about?

"Really? That's how you're gonna play this? Fine. I'll get Maya to do it herself, or maybe I'll do it. Will you join us or be branded as a nobody like her? Lucas, this is our senior year! We only get one chance at being remembered, Luke. What better way than this?" The girl, Eva, replied.

"That's just it. I don't want to be remembered as the bully, the school's 'bad boy'. I want to be remembered for something good, useful. I don't want to be that type of guy anymore."

"You've gone soft. She's turned you into mush, Lucas. Where's the Lucas Niholbackson that I know? The Lucas Nicholbackson that wouldn't back down from a fight? The Lucas Nicholbackson who plays with any girl's heart?" It was silent for a moment before Eva's voice spoke up, quieter than before. "Where did you go, Lucas?"

Lucas was silent for a while, not responding. What happened? Was he alright? Renesmee's worries were calmed when she heard his voice, only for her heart to break into a million pieces at his words. "Rene Abila is a nobody. I don't need her, she made me soft. She will pay for making me soft. Thank you, Evalynn. I don't know what happened."

"You found fake love. Always happens. I'm just glad you're back, sweetie." Evalynn's voice seemed to taunt her like a cat and a piece of string. Sadness filling the space where she had once felt the comforting fire of hope, she bolted from the scene with tears streaming down her face like an overflowing waterfall.

Once she was far enough from the scene that had caused her so much sadness, she collapsed against the wall and slowly slid down. Resting her head on her knees, the heartbroken child's gutwrenching sobs racked through her small, fragile-looking body. Her head was spinning, her thoughts coursing through her like a coursing river. Her breathing became erratic, uneven. She couldn't bring any air into her lungs, her eyes stung with the threat of unshed tears.

How? How could Lucas do this to me? I thought he loved me! The young girl thought to herself. She failed to notice how her breathing was becoming more and more irregular as her thoughts became more and more ruthless until she felt a pair of warm, sturdy, comforting arms wrap around her, attempting to ground her.

"Shh, shh, it's alright. I'm here," a voice comforted. The voice sounded so familiar, but Renesmee just simply couldn't place who it was in her sudden panic. "Come on, Nessa. Breathe with me, okay? In... one... two... Out... one... two... Good, now do it again. In... one... two... Out... one... two... In... one... two... Out... one... two..."

By now, Renesmee's sight had cleared, her hearing repaired and breathing becoming regular yet again. Opening her hazel brown eyes, they connected with a pair of green orbs. As her eyes adjusted to the light of the outside world again, she noticed the signature red hair of her aunt, Natasha. "Auntie Tashie?" She whispered, exhaustion from her panic attack finally taking over her limbs, paralizing them.

Natasha, seeing how exhausted the girl was, gently smiled down at her and brushed some of her dampened hair out of her face. "Yeah, it's me маленькая девочка-дракон. It's me, you're safe." The assassin comforted as her two adopted children, Wanda and Pietro, appeared where they were. Quickly rushing over to their cousin and mother, the two collapsed to their knees next to the duo.

"Is she alright?" Pietro asked as Wanda pulled the petrified, exhausted girl into her comforting arms. Running her hands through the girl's dampened hair, Wanda pulled forth the memories HYDRA had attempted to wipe from her, lulling her to sleep.

"Wanda?" At the sound of her mother's voice, Wanda raised her head to see her looking at the duo with a soft smile. "Come, let's take them home." Natasha murmured, smiling at the two newest arrivals. They were the Stark couple's long lost children, all three of them were. Three out of six. The three who were there? Morgan Peter-Harley Stark, Georgie Rene Stark, and Renesmee Imani-Antonia Aku-Stark. Three of the Stark heirs were home, safe and sound. They were home, and the three of them knew it.

Their mission now? To get Peter, Harley, Rosalice, and Bucky to come back to them, to get them to come home so that they were safe and protected, away from the harsh reality that was the game called life. They had to protect them, no matter what.

CHAPTER 09

Back at the Avengers Compound in Upstate, New York, Anthony Edward Stark had just gotten off the phone from his team member and one of the many aunts to all of the Avenger children, minus Pietro and Wanda as she was their adoptive mother. The engineer was rather excited to see the woman, not because he had missed her but because of who she had with her. Three children, plus her own two kids. Tony's hildren would return, and they would finally be a family again. Well... as much of a family as you could get when you still have two out of your five children missing.

"Tony? What's got you so excited?" The 'leader' of the team of Earth's Mighteist Avengers, and soon to be father might I add, asked as he saw his teammate keep looking towards the door with excitement and anxiety clear in his chocolate brown eyes.

"I'm waiting for Nat to get back with Wanda and Pietro." Tony answered the man, Steve Rodgers also known as Captain America. "There's a surprise for the rest of the team, so you might want to get them up here." Steve, still rather confused, nodded before asking Friday, the Compound's AI, to bring all of the members of the team known as the Avengers that were currently in the Compound itself to come down or over to the Common Room, as it has become known, in the middle building.

After deciding to keep the Tower and keep it as the headquarters for Stark Industries, Tony decied to remodel the compound. There were now around six buildings in total, the seventh being built as we speak. The six, going on seven, buildings were in a spiral; one building in the middle and six spiralling around the first building, going outwards.

The first building is the main building but it is the first building that spirals out. It also has five floors including the basement. This is where the Avengers have their meetings, where most of the offices are, where a couple of training rooms are, and where the top SHIELD agents are mainly based. Underground and on the fifth/top floor, there are quarters for the SHIELD Agents that stay at the Compound full time.

The second building is three stories, not including the basement. This building is full of training rooms, with a couple of dance studios here and there for those who enjoy the world of dance, mainly Natasha, Wanda and Pietro. In the basement of building 2 is a storage space with a garage, much like the one in Tony's old Malibu house, that holds half of the cars that the team owns.

The third building is four stories, not including the basement. This building has some quarters for the Agents and team members that want to keep their loved ones safe. The three who mainly use this building is Clint Barton, Hawkeye, Natasah Romanov, Black Widow, and Scott Lang, AntMan. Speaking of the Black Widow, she has recently adopted a baby girl who she named Arabella, Rina for Bella for short. Each of them has a floor, hence why only three of them use it. The ground floor is a Common Floor for the families where they can chill out and just have fun, as their is enrichment on that floor for the children and their is also a different AI in that building. Well, really there's two; Friday and Monday. Friday makes reports to Tony at the end of every month to make sure the buildings are safe. If they aren't, Tony will tell Clint, Scott and Nat and get someone in to take care of it whilst the families head out for the day. Luckily, it hasn't happened for six months now. The basement holds the familes motor vehicles, like Clint's van, Scott's van and Natasha's motor bike etc.

The fourth building is three stories with no basement. This building is mainly for everyone to just chill out and relax. The roof has an inbuilt swimming pool that always has heated water. In the summer, however, the water cools slightly so that it isn't too warm for people to swim in. Everyone in the team has an AI, Friday being everyone's shared AI. As a 'House Warming' gift, so to speak, Tony gave everyone their own AI which is hooked up to their cars, motorbikes, floors etc. Anyway, on the ground floor there is a cinema room where you can watch movies before they're even released! There's also a bar on that floor, a couple game machines, a games room and a kitchen area. On the first floor there's a few more gaming machines and a videoing room, there's also an Artsy room for people that are into art, like Steve. On the second, and final, floor there's a place for the adults to relax. This floor has a casino, a bar, a stripper area and some more things you would find in a club/bar.

The fifth building is five stories, not including the basement. This building has at least one lab on each floor. The fifth story is Tony and Pepper's floor. There are three AIs in the building; Friday, Lauren and Jarvis Jr. Friday is the mandatory AI for every building, Lauren is Pepper's AI, and Jarvis Jr., also called JJ, is Tony's AI. JJ is hooked up to Tony's lab and has a similar voice as Jarvis once had before he was reconfigured into the android known as the Vision. Pepper's AI is hooked up to her car and her office, as well as her Stark Tablet and her Stark Phone. Friday is hooked up to everyone's electronic things, as to give them extra protection.

The sixth building, the building in the middle, is in the model of a mansion. This house has rooms for everyone, getting extension upon extension when they get new members. That's where they were currently, actually. They weren't in the first spiralling building, they were in the middle building.

"You wanted us, Steve?" Clint Barton, also known as Hakweye, asked form where he was holding his youngest son, Nathaniel, named after his best friend and his kids aunt, Natasha. Steve simply shook his head and pointed to the excited Tony which caused Clint to become confused. Why was Tony so excited? Was someone coming they didn't know about? "You alright there, Stark?"

"I'm fine." Tony replied quickly, eyes trained on the Common Room doors. Clint and Steve shared a look, knowing that Tony was not, in fact, fine. He was excited about something, and when Tony gets excited then you need to be scared. When Tony's excited, it basically means the end of the world as we know it.

Just when Steve was about to ask something to the excited child of his old friend, the Common Room doors opened to reveal two five years old, a red-head, a white haired boy, a brown haired girl, and another brown haired girl who kept a tight hold of the two five year olds hands. "Sissy! Please!" The female five year old begged.

"Not yet, Morgs." The girl, 'Sissy', answered. Steve watched as the girl's eyes scanned the area around them and, detecting no danger, loosened her hold on the twins hands. Their eyes met and Steve immediately felt like he had been hit with a truck twenty-five times. This little girl, who could have been no older than ten or eleven, was the girl who had been taken from their family five years ago. This was the Avengers' little girl. This was Renesmee Imani-Antonia Aku-Stark.

These kids were three of the Lost Children of Stark. Three out of six children were home. They just had three more to catch now, then they had won against HYDRA. Then Tony and Pepper and Morgan and Georgie and Renesmee and Rosalice and Peter and Harley could be a family once more. Finally.

EPILOGUE

He was mad. No, he was enraged. How could three of his teammates betray the rest of them? he had trusted them, he had honoured them! They betrayed the person who had helped them, who had given them a reason to live! And what did they do to repay that person? They just chucked it in his face without a care in the world. They had betrayed them, all of them. They were going to pay.

~

Scrapes could be heard as the shadowy figure advanced towards her. She kept running, and running, and running, and running but it was like an endless corridor. She was going nowhere, yet everywhere at the same time. She couldn't quite get that but she accepted it none the less.

"Please! Leave me alone!" The girl, a mere child, begged as she collapsed to her knees like she had so many times in front of this shadow. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Tears started to choke her, a lump forming in her throat as the words became slurred and lost in the girl's vast tears. "Please!"

"All you have to do," the shadow spoke. It was the first time the girl ever heard it spoke. It sounded so much like someone she once knew, but she just couldn't place it. Who did the shadow figure sound like? And why did it give her comfort? "All you have to do, is wake up. Take a deep breath, and open your eyes." She tried. Gods did she try, but it simply didn't work. She couldn't awaken herself, she needed help. That's when the panic set in.

What if she never woke up? What if she was forever trapped in this endless corridor of darkness that seemed to surround her and cling to her very body? What if she never saw her Dad again? Or her aunts? Her uncles? Her Mom? Her siblings? Her cousins? Her dog? What if she never woke up? Luckily, someone in the waking realm either noticed the girl was shaking, or they heard her screams that punctured the tranquil silence of the night.

A man heard the shrill screams of his oldest human daughter, sending panic coursing through his veins. What was going on? Were they being attacked? Had someone died? He quickly leaped out of the bed and raced down the corridor to his daughter's bedroom. Opening the door, sadness washed over him. His daughter was having another one of her nightmares, the one where she was chased by a 'shadowy figure' as she had described it many times before.

Kneeling down, the man ran a hand through the child's chocolate brown hair. "Renesmee, wake up. Nessie sweetie, you're safe. I've got you, you're safe." The girl's father, Anthony Edward Stark, whispered gently as he pulled the girl, Renesmee Antonia Aku-Stark, closer to his chest so she could hear the slight hum of his Arc Reactor. Renesmee always said that the Arc Reactor made her feel safe and protected, Tony never knew why though.

"D-Daddy?" The girl cried, looking up with her fearful hazel brown eyes. At her father's soft smile, she launched herself at him in a hug, trying to forget her nightmare. Ever since she and her younger brother and sister had been rescued from a place called HYDRA, she had nightmares whenever she slept. It got to the point where the petrified child thought she had seen the figure in the waking world, not just the dreaming realm.

"I'm here, I'm here," Tony comforted as he held her closer and tighter, not wanting to let go of her in case she slipped into the nightmare again. He couldn't deal with another one, the fear it sent through him at the thought of his daughter being in danger somewhere he couldn't reach her freightened him more so than the threat of death in his line of service. "Would you like to sleep with your Mother and I tonight, bud?" At his child's nod, he picked her light body up and headed towards his and his wife, Pepper Potts,'s bedroom, picking up Nessa's IronMan build-a-bear teddy on the way.

Sitting down on the double bed, Tony gently lay his child down between him and his wife, who woke up when Tony practically jumped out of the bed. Renesmee smiled as her father gave her her teddy bear and, with a cute little yawn, snuggled closer to her mother. Tony then got into bed and wrapped his arms around both his wife and child, subconsciously keeping them safe. They had all the time in the world to watch their beautiful girl grow up, along with their other two children. For now, though, they could rest.

They had three out of six, which ain't bad. The Lost Children of Stark had returned home, and that was all they could ask for. Hopefully, their other three children followed suit soon.
