A picture of all the Gryffindor first year boys in the common room

Every year the prefects made them do a photo, when he was younger he had despised it, but how he wished he had those photos now.

“No no Derek, we need you in it” James said, a little frustrated.

James had spent nearly a quarter of an hour attempting to organise his roommates into a neat row for a photo. Finally, the camera shutter clicked and James Potter could breathe. The rest of the boys scattered and returned to their previous activities. Remus immediately ran to retrieve his camera from Frank Longbottom, one of the Gryffindor third years. “Cheers frank” James smiled.

“My greatest thanks and deepest apologies for any inconvenience, Mr Longbottom” Remus declared, dripping in sarcasm, while nodding at the older boy. Frank had thought remus had a bit of an attitude problem and always made a point of his manners. Remus had begun to retaliate by overcompensating on thanks or congratulations where Frank was concerned.

“No problem” he chuckled, shaking his head as he meandered through the common room and out along the passage way. Deep down he was proud of this accomplishment.

Frank Longbottom was born to be a Gryffindor, his morals never faltered, he was by far more advanced than his years. He was brilliant at defensive spells and was always willing to teach younger muggleborns how to protect themselves. But Frank couldn’t write an essay to save his life. He’d once corrected an essay of James’, completely illegibly. Frank had always dreamed of being an Auror. He was the picture of an Auror, a highly trained law enforcer employed by the ministry. It was a difficult process but he had real potential. He liked the name ‘dark wizard catcher’, especially in these times, it was more important than ever that people be held accountable for their wrong doings.
