Who we are
Skylar was incredibly moody on the first day back to Hogwarts as she had to wake up earlier. She hated the fact that she had to get up two hours before lessons actually started as Cassius, her only friend outside of the four-girl-group, made her eat breakfast everyday.
The one thing she did not need was the annoying voice of Pansy Parkinson.
"Hey, Potter!" Pansy Parkinson shrieked from the seat next to Draco. "Potter! The Dementors are coming, Potter! Woooooooooo!"
"Shut up," Skylar grumbled,"Annoy them when I'm actually awake."
Skylar tried to eat her breakfast in peace but it was simple too loud for her. The sleeping schedule of 3am - 1pm didn't exactly work at Hogwarts and she was running on four hours of sleep vs nine. It made her agitated and Cassius could see that immediately.
Cassius Warrington was a year older than Skylar. They had become friends when the Malfoy's hosted Skylar's ninth birthday party. At that age, the only friends that you had were those that had parents that were friends with your own. Cassius was the first person that Skylar bonded with and they had been friends ever since.
"Okay, grumpy, let's get out of her," Cassius demanded,"I'm not trying to be ironic but you look like you're about to kill someone."
The first year sat two seats away from Skylar visibly shuffled away.
"How is everyone so awake?" Skylar grumbled in reply, placing her forehead against the table.
"Because everyone gets letters and sweets from their parents the first day," Cassius smiled,"Including you. You get two lots."
Skylar lifted her head and paid attention to the incoming owls. She brightened but still looked incredibly tired. Two owls landed in front of her as she yawned.
"Thanks Tiki," Skylar said to Andromeda's owl,"You can eat my toast."
"You should let her do that," Cassius commented as he opened his own letter.
"I never really understand why people do this though," said Skylar,"What do they think will happen to us in 24 hours? Why do they send letters the first day here?"
"Tradition, I guess," Cassius replied, shrugging.
Skylar spent five minutes or so reading the letters from Narcissa and Andromeda. They had very different tones. While Narcissa asked how she was doing, the letter mostly contained Lucius' words of,'Make good decisions', 'don't fall behind in studies' ect. Andromeda was a lot more relaxed, telling Skylar to enjoy herself. Ted also wrote at the sides about not forgetting to do her homework, which she always did.
"Oi!" Draco called from down the table, throwing a ball of parchment at her cousin,"How long can I annoy Potter for before his sister comes running to the rescue."
"You shouldn't do it at all," Skylar blinked,"But if you do, and I can't stop you, about six minutes."
"Really?" Cassius gave her a patronising look.
Skylar just shrugged.
"I can't stop him, I can only warn him," She replied,"Besides, Juliette will rip him to shreds if she ever catches him being mean to Harry. Draco's lucky that the only reason he's still alive is because Juliette only heard about his wrongdoings from Hermione."
"You don't ever tell her?"
"We have this unspoken rules that we don't chat gossip about family members to the family member," Skylar replied,"Of course, unless it's really bad."

There was only one subject where the four girls (Raelynn, Skylar, Juliette and Paige) were together, being Arithmancy. They took is because they knew most people went for Divination. Therefore, they spent most of the time talking and copying Raelynn's homework.
"I have a plan," said Paige as she dropped a book on the table and sat down.
"What's that?" Raelynn asked, curiously.
"Lynn, we've been looking for ways to help you for nearly two years now," said Paige in a whisper,"I've found a way but it's kind of crazy and dangerous, but hey it's us?"
"You're saying that like we haven't been doing crazy and dangerous things since we became friends," Skylar scoffed,"Like when Fred and George gave us the map and we snuck into Hogsmeade in the middle of the night because we were bored."
"Don't launch into a rant," Juliette warned,"Paige, what's the idea?"
"Animagi!"
"Shh!" Professor Vector hissed from the front of the class.
"Sorry," Paige gave her a half-hearted smile before making her voice quieter,"So?"
"No." Raelynn denied.
"Lynn—"
"No."
"You can't make us not do it," said Juliette with her arms crossed,"The better thing to do is just...help us."
Raelynn couldn't understand why they would want to do something so stupid. Admittedly, she knew that her dad's friends had done the same for him but it took them nearly three years to do so. Not to mention, it was illegal.
"I'm not sure about this," Raelynn sighed,"Do you realise that so many things could go wrong?"
"Listen, my dad is literally a mass murderer, Lynnie," Skylar rolled her eyes. "So what if I get put in Azkaban because I wanted to be a frog."
"A frog?" Paige snickered.
"I like frogs."
"And how do you think that is going to help you against a werewolf?" Raelynn commented.
"I don't know," Skylar shrugged,"Maybe it'll freak you out if I ribbit!"
"Excuse me! You four, at the back!" Professor Vector called,"Are you listening?"
Each group member lifted their head up to look at the towering Professor. Juliette and Skylar exchanged a look of amusement and confusion while Paige shrugged. Raelynn, however, put on an act.
"Absolutely," Raelynn replied, tilting her head.
"If you were, what's the answer to my last question?" Professor Vector asked with a demanding voice.
Juliette and Skylar were trying to hold their laughs in as Raelynn launched into a whole explanation on the answer.
"How did you do that?" Skylar asked when Raelynn turned her attention back.
"Some of us in this group can multitask."
