Choi Subong (Thanos)
main character
Subong's life was always chaotic, full of partying like there's no tomorrow. his rapping career was going significantly well, he was gaining a lot of popularity as he continued holding concerts underground the music industry. most of the people he met at clubs always recognized him and of course some were fans. he liked the attention, he really did. Until the attention he received up until now was now negative and rumors. There were drug scandals surrounding him and it's not entirely wrong, sure he did do drugs at least once. Got addicted to it for a short while and that's it. it surprised him how this news even got out.. late.
This whole thing made him quit his rapping career, the backlash was too much. Subong has a big ego but its surely deflated due to the situation as of now. Slumping on his rotting bed with a stench of unwashed clothes and neglected trash around the floor. He really has no one at this point, his mom despises him truly, his friends also sided with the rumors and started to avoid him as a whole too. Scandals can really destroy a person within a week. All that hard work and build up was a waste and all for nothing.
He starts to think he was relapsing, he had been clean for months now. he was starting to feel hopeless, everyone hated him now. So what was the point? he pities himself too. He didn't even glance at that big refrigerator filled with probably molded and expired foods, hell, he didn't even bother to clean himself up ever since those rumors were getting intense. There's no doubt he smelled like how canal rats smelled like. Subong wants motivation badly to keep him going, he can't just stop here again. But what would be his motivation be if he has nothing? somehow he looks at his closet, its likely there since he just trashed it hidden away, thinking it wasn't make use of it. His nursing degree from a prestigious university he studied in.
Namgyu Kim
main character
Namgyu’s past wasn't often talked about. He was a Civil service student and took the same test and failed over seven times. His scores always was close to the passing and required score, which gave him a whole lots of hope. He studies hard and was great at his school, his scores are always equals to excellent grades. Though, Namgyu didn't have the privilege to study abroad like his friends, since he didn't have any extravagant resumes like his friends. Namgyu works part time jobs to pay for his tuition and is unlikely to get a higher paying job.
Due to the stress he was experiencing, he was influenced by some of his batchmates that offered him to try some substances and play a game for the meantime. He deserved some rest and break anyway after studying for years on the same test.. at first, it felt weird to get high. How weird it was to feel high, this sensation calls out for him even more. Clinging onto him as he started to neglect his studies and started to slack off in general. He missed a lot of exams. Namgyu's parents latched on to this and sent him to the Myungshin University Medical Center.
Namgyu was originally there for drug addiction and intake but as the times goes by and the drugs on his body was cleared, he started to babble about some nonsense things that sounded unreal and borderline strange. And the doctors now changed his reason of coming here, listing: delusions.
He believed he was in a world where he was a mage.
Kang Mina

Mina works in Internal Medicine unit where Subong first worked as a nurse seriously. A compassionate, strong willed and a initiative nurse. was also fed up with his slacking.
Choi Subong's love interest, and is unsure of what she thinks about him as a person. Subong's not her type either, she prefers not to engage with relationships yet at this moment.
Semi

Semi is a nurse in the psychiatric unit, who in the future works alongside with Subong and is basically a teacher to him.
Was the one who took charge of Namgyu during his first time in the medical center, when he was only here for drug addiction. Their relationship with each other aren't that close but close enough to consider one another as friends.
Park Minsu

Minsu is another patient that is also taken care of Nurse Semi. He was taken in the medical center by his sister for Anxiety
is unfamiliar with Namgyu and Subong for now and will have future interactions and backstory.
Gyeongsu

A batchmate of Namgyu and was a fan of Thanos, tries to visit Namgyu but is always denied since only family members was allowed for visitations.
