You look up at the tree in your yard. It’s been a while.
“C’mon, Sev!” you call. He catches up when you pause by the tree.
“You’re not going to climb that.” He looks slightly awestruck and scared.
“Of course. You want to come with me?”
You helped him overcome that fear, and how does he repay you? He calls you a Mudblood.
Just for old time’s sake, you hoist yourself up. Up here, there’s a breeze that gently plays with your hair. You can see everywhere. Up here, you don’t have to worry about You-Know-Who.
Up here, you’re free.
