Harry Potter AU Ideas
*HP: At least one of Petunia and Lily's parents were a squib or descended from a squib. That was why they were so happy/excited to have a witch in the family. (Could also explain the depth of Petunia's jealousy-turned-hatred towards Lily for being a witch and not her.)
*Harry, from a young age, learned to sew (mostly so he could repair the rags he's forced to call clothes/Petunia taught him so she didn't have to hem Vernon's and Dudley's clothing anymore). He would practice with scrap clothing and buttons he was given/found. One way he practiced was by making dolls so he had someone to talk to and not be so lonely. Harry accedently brings his dolls to life. Puppet golems.
(Harry eventually learns to make golems out of other materials/make his golems better?)
*What if Harry died at the hands of the Dursleys, despite his magic's best efforts? What would happen to the magical world? How would people react?
*Cult of the Lamb AU. Harry starts a cult after making a deal with an Eldrich Dark God. This also imbues Harry with Dark knowledge, including magic of various varieties.
His followers are: squibs, muggle-borns, halfbloods and half-breeds.
Basically, the abused, broken, abandoned and outcasted.
Cannibalism.
