Leave my Mind
Summary
(Name) is a republican senator from Florida, more opened minded than most of them and kept a clear imagine. It was a positive start to her newly formed political career.Despite her opened-mindedness this- thing that was going on was crossing a line andIt was subtle at first her eyes would linger on the New York representative AOC. Despite how much small things that happen regarding Alexandria; watching clips of her speaking, The politician always being her mind, the feeling she got when she saw her in person that made her hands sweat, etc. She can't and won't admit it. Its just something that will pass, and maybe its admiration because Alexandria's good speaker or leader. Its just something like that.

Bleach-Blonde Bad-Built Butch-Body

'Freedom Freedom I can't move Freedom cut me loose.'
Oh god those lyrics were stuck in her head. It was good song not even she could deny it despite it being the same one for Kamala's Presidential campaign. it made her feel guilty, as if she was with the enemy. (Name) focused on trying to flood her mind with something else, for god's sake she was at a committee hearing. She needed to behave like an adult rather than an easily distracted middle schooler. A flash of shame went into her head. 'Oh shoot I zoned out.' (Name) pauses realizing she didn't catch half of what was said during the committee she almost let out a sigh disappointed in herself.

"Chair recognizes Ms. Greene" A voice from down the desk said in a monotone voice. (Name) snaps into focus and looks down at Marjorie, despite being in the same party and in turn being expected by the people as well of others in congress to back her up (Name) couldn't help but feel that Marjorie was on something.

"I'd like to know if any of the democrats on this committee are employing judge Merchan's daughter." Marjorie said in her usual unconcerned voice with a bit of smugness a kin to a middle aged woman complaining about her food to a Mc Donald's employee.
'The conversation has shift to Judge Merchan?'

A voice from the other side of the house spoke.
"Please tell me what that has to do with Merrick Garland." The voice was Jasmine Crockett's, judging by the amount of patience she could tell when wearing out by the moment.
'So I'm not crazy.'
"So he's advising, okay." Marjorie nods her head.
"do you know what we're here for?" Ms Crockett responds.
'Probably not, not a thought behind those eyes.'
Words began to overlap slightly reeling in (Name)'s attention farther out.
She could make out an
"I don't think you know what we're here for." which was definitely Marjorie by the projection. Along the mix of lukewarm chaos a person trying to mediate barley manages to get a stream of oh's and waits. (Name) leans into her seat trying to catch each moment of the passive aggressive scuffle, but it was getting aggressive for a formal space. She had some rationale that both woman, (despite how crazy she knew Marjorie is) were adults and will aim the subject on a more respectful note. Eventually.

"I think you're fake eyelashes are messing up what you're reading." Ms Greene said in her smug tone she used when she got frustrated. (Name)'s eyes widen in shock.
'Did she just say that?'
It was a low blow, an insult you wouldn't just say in a place like this. But at the same time this is the same woman who believes the Jews caused 9/11 with space lasers.
The sounds of groaning and gasps among the committee erupted.
"Listen, Listen" Ms Crockett tried to retort but was interrupted by the sounds of a gavel hitting its sounds block.
"Order." The same monotone voice said this time was a little more annoyance.
"That's beneath even you Ms chairman!" Another voice said with much more disgusted then the monotone one. Marjorie shifted in her seat as she rolled her eyes clearly not giving a shit.

A different voice from much farther in the corner left rang out, it had a level of confidence and passion which identified the voice as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or AOC.
"I do have a point of order, and I would like to move to take down Mrs. Greene's words." Her words lost a little bit of angry after the pause regaining a sense of formality. (Name) caught herself really noticing the change in tone it was almost admirable how quickly- her was able to switch her tone. (Name) was quickly woken from her state of fawning over it when Alexandria's voice picked back up.

Her voice was loud, clearly angry and disappointed.

"How dare you a-a-a-attack the physical appearance of another person!" Despite the stutter her words were incredible, (Name) couldn't help but not mind the switch to anger. There was something about the way she looked when she was angry that drag some part of (Name) in.

"Move her words down!" She was overlapped by Marjorie butting in.

"Are you feelings hurt?" Marjorie said in her nonchalance, her bored demeanor a stark contrast to Alexandria's care for the subject at hand.

"Oh girl- Baby girl!" Something about this made a chill of embarrassment rush down (Name)'s spine and attack her stomach. Why do I feel like this? Well this it is embarrassing to be in the same room as whatever this hot mess is.

"Oh really?"

"Don't even play!"

Damn! The bronx is really coming out.

The guys on the higher desk began to speak.

"Ms Greene agrees to strike her words."

"She has to apologize!"

"Im not apologizing."

Oh god the only hope for America is Mariah Carey or Jesus. (Name) quickly did a cross motion with her hand, it was fine nobody saw it. Everyone couldn't take their eyes off what was going on it was like a car accident.

"Why don't you debate me?" What type of person would say that after insult someone during a committee when she is asked to apologize and refuses? Marjorie, Marjorie Taylor Greene.

"I think its pretty self evident." Alexandria responds quickly not missing a beat.

(Name) had realized she had been staring at her again for a long time, she immediately looked at the comer.

"Yeah, you don't have enough intelligence." Beside the immaturity  watching a debate between AOC and MTG would be amazing,in an entertainment sense not for the true beauty of debate.

The  comer is able to speak over them and Ms. Crockett's voice chimes in.

"I'm just curious. Just to better understand your ruling. If someone on this committee then starts talking about someone's bleach blonde bad built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?"

Oh shit! That was a massacre

Ms. Greene whipped her back at (Name) with a harsh looking as if waiting for her to say something.

What does the Crimson Chin want me to say,or do? Shes fucked.

(Name) looks up from Marjorie and her eyes land directly at AOC, it was at most one second but in that short amount of time her stomach hurt, a weird feeling of nervousness she never felt speaking publicly. The more time she felt looking at her face which was studying her with a look of defiance carved on her face. Behind those warm brown eyes there was almost a softness, (Name)'s political career was still young and AOC was throwing her a bone in a way. Her perception of (Name) was not fully formed. She looked back at Marjorie her hands almost went up instinctively feigning for ignorance but she wanted to her proud, AOC couldn't think she was a coward.

"I believe this matter in rooted in tension and the words used shouldn't be expressed this way. I believe Ms Greene should apologize to preserve the formality and moral of this committee " (Name) Improved and silent applauded herself in her head for that save, yeah her mother definitely hearing about this when she got home. (Name) had to keep herself from looking at AOC for her approval, but she could have sworn she saw a slight nods from her preferential vision or it was her being delusion.

"Really?" Marjorie rolled her eyes.

"Hey, you leave me out of this!" (Name) professionalism broke as she put her hands up doing a complete 180 from her original statement.

"No! You're letting them wi-" Marjorie responds pointing at her before being cut off by (Name). The sounds of the comer trying to deescalate the situation get over shadowed by Greene.

"Nah I'm not the one who insulted her eyelashes during a government event as a representative. Dude leave me out of this!" (Name) speaking quickly trying to get her words in quick enough to not interrupt the comer.

"Did you call me Du-?!" Ms Greene gets cut off.

"That's enough Ms. Greene!" The comer objected. (Name) has been reprimanding herself over and over again in her head. Oh shit- oh shit oh shit oh shit! I just fuc- I mean FREAKING embarrassed myself.

Once the committee hearing was over (Name) drove back to her house, she immediately wrapped her arms around her cat Tolky. The cat meows in protest wriggling around.

"SHHHH- I need this." She complains digging her face into the the cat's soft fur. Tolky continues to whine and hisses at her. "Please I'll scratch ears how you like it!" (Name) pleads before her cat squeezes out of her grip running down the hall. She sighs for a moment and made her way to the bedroom, unbuttoning her blazer and taking off articles of clothing as she walked. She ripped off her bra and sighed in relief. opening the door and falling onto her bed. She reached over for the remote and put on Shrek 2, a true masterpiece. She mainly digested a lot of fantasy media. Games of thrones and Lord of the Ring as well as reading all the books and playing D&D when she was young (and sometimes as an adult). Other than that it was sitcoms but The community didn't come to her head, The Office couldn't comfort her away from work taking place at work and Parks and recreations reminded her of government too much right now. Shrek 2 brought a familiar type of comfort with the fantasy elements and had to ability to remind her of the absolute mess that  happened today. Despite her attempts to channel out work Alexandria's face was stuck in her head. The next day she had off clips of the committee fill twitter and everywhere else. She didn't really go on Twitter she viewed it as a degenerate cesspit filled with mental ill people and worst of all Elon Musk.

She decided to just opened it to see what people were saying just out of curiosity. The moment she saw AOC's face on her screen she feel an odd feeling in her stomach. One that wouldn't go away no matter how much she tried bury it down. It was something she might have felt before. No no-its- its just because i'm embarrassed because of what happened. If I was to see Marj's face right I'd feel the same things. It embarrassment because it reminds me of it. 'Marjorie Taylor Greene' she typed in the safari search bar. She stared at the woman's boyish face for a good minute. Nothing.

God damn it. Oh fudge- Gosh damn it, not god damn- Sorry Jesus
