My life, my sacrifice
“Newt, I’m sorry.” Is all she says as tears sting her eyes, at this he can’t help but forget about his anger which is now replaced with sympathy and relief as he finally has her back, “I wanted to tell you but…”
“You knew I would follow you” she nods tiredly wrapping his coat tighter around herself.
“I couldn’t risk you being here, if they caught you too and tortured you I don’t think i could forgive myself” he is shocked at this, about her selflessness and caring nature, she was protecting him.
“Oh, Tina” is all he can muster as he gather her in his arms, they both start crying at the feeling of being in the safety of each other’s arms. They stay like that for a while until he pulls back to look at her face, he places his hand on her cheek, they are so close, deep brown eyes lost in forest green ones, they both begin to lean in when all of a sudden a spell flies towards them narrowly missing Newt’s head.
He quickly jumps up in front on Tina protectively, it appears the spell wore off and Prescott had brought some men along, there’s 12 of them all together.
“Well, well, well, looks like someone did come to your rescue” laughs Prescott looking at Tina who glares back with force and hatred.
“Stay away from her!”
“Oh this is interesting, Newt Scamander is it? You have become a celebrity, but what is it you do exactly?” He smirks
“He’s the weirdo with the animals?” One of his men shouts
“Ah yes, you go around collecting animals” Prescott mocks.
“I rescue them, from pathetic scums like you” Newt replies.
That may have been a bad idea the smirk has been erased from Prescott’s face now replaced by anger. He fires a spell, they duel. Tina has never seen Newt duel before but she has faith in him, and it proves to be right, Newt’s winning, towing over his opponent however Prescott is not know for playing fair, she discovered this on the first day of being undercover, this man is selfish takes whatever he wants from whoever he wants. So his men join in one by one Newt is holding strong but 12 against 1 is hardly fair.
Tina lifts her wand which was returned to her when Newt and Theseus released her. She fights the ache in her legs and the burn across her chest, she steps up to Newt’s side and fires a spell, Newt smiles impressed, he knows that they may be outnumbered but with Tina by his side they can take them on, and they do.
Spells flying in all directions both sides having to duck and dodge incoming spells but slowly Newt and Tina have taken down Prescott’s men, leaving him breathing heavily in front of them, however both are severely out of breath Prescott takes his chance
/expelliarmus!/both Tina and Newt’s wands fly out of there hands, Tina is exhausted, a week with no food and continuous torture has worn her down as she collapses onto the floor. Newt although exhausted from the duel manages to catch her by the waist breaking her fall.
“Tina,Tina!” Newt tries desperately to wake her, tapping her cheek but no use she’s not waking up, he panics but notices her breathing, it’s slow but it’s there and he can feel her pulse against his skin.
Prescott laughs pulling Newt’s attention back.
“You shouldn’t have come, now both of you will die for your foolishness,” Newt pulls Tina into his arms more securely as if his last wish if he can’t prevent their death is to die in each other’s arms. Prescott makes a move, Newt can see the light escape his wand right before he closes his eyes, he accepts death, yet he wishes Tina wouldn’t have had to suffer the same fate, he failed her, he failed at protecting her, he promised Queenie before they left that he would bring her home, but now…
