Life with the Grays
"Hello mother, father, did you want to talk to me", Crystalline asked.
Aquamarine and Zircon Gray exchanged looks.
"It's about your friends", Aquamarine started.
"Harry, Ron and Hermione, what about them?"
"We want you to stay away from them. A blood-traitor, a mudblood and the golden boy? Do you want to leave our reputation in tatters, you idiot", Zircon snapped.
Crystalline was shocked and enraged. Her parents had never talked to her like that and no one insulted her friends this way.
"It's my choice who I want to spend time with and I would suggest you don't interfere into this", she retorted.
"Our daughter, a blood-traitor. Haven't we taught you better. When did you become such a shame to our legacy", Aquamarine sniffed.
At this, Crystalline turned on her heel and stormed off.
It was the elder Grays' turn to be left shocked. Their daughter had never been so rude and impolite.
They hadn't known that the daughter they had raised and showered with affection was a blood-traitor.
Needless to say, things between them were strenuous from then on.
She had of course known that her parents were blood-purists and that was precisely the reason that she had hidden from them her true opinions.
But now, she had a family who would accept her regardless of anything, and with their support, she wasn't afraid to voice out what she thought.
She couldn't wait to see the rest of the BlackLights again.
