Good Morning Sunshine

The first Sun rays seeped lazily through the tall windows of Hermione’s little, but cozy apartment. Everything around was so quiet and peacefull, just little snoring came from rhe big vintage brown sofa in the middle of the living room. Draco Malfoy was sleepping on his back, with his hand fallen from the edge of the sofa on the wooden floor. Hermione’s fluffy cat Crookshanks was curled up next to Draco, his paws on his chest, purring. Malfoy’s features were intence, like something very serious was happening in his dream. Or even bad.
Hermione quitely opened her bedroom door and looked through her living room.

“Damn it” she wispered as soon as she saw white hair through the edge of her sofa. She tried to move as quietly as possible, her bare feet stepping only on those floorboards that didn't creak in the early morning stillness. She needed to shower and to think how to deal with Malfoy situation. Hermione reached her bathroom and locked herself inside.

She sighed in relief as soon as she felt the hot water flow down her face. Her head was just buzzing with thoughts, creating all sorts of scenarios and questions about what could have caused Draco Malfoy to barge into her home in the middle of the night and talk like that. He was a living trouble, appointed to Hermione's care a year ago against her will by the Minister of Magic himself, Kingsley Shacklebolt. She had just become an auror, assigned to serve in a special auror unit under Harry Potter’s supervision.

“I’m his poison? What the fuck is that suppose to mean?” Hermione muttered angrily to herself and shook her head.

She got out of the shower and looked at herself in the mirror. Constant tension, sleepless nights at work and missions were reflected on Hermione's face. Dark circles under the eyes, sharpened facial features reminded the young woman of survived years fighting in the war. She sighed and picked out some clean clothes for herself and dried her long, flowing hair. As soon as Hermione's appearance was appropriate, she left the bathroom and quietly slipped into her small kitchen that connected to the living room where Draco was still sleeping. Although normally Hermione liked to go around her house in a muggle way, today she got her morning coffee with the help of magic.

“Good morning, Sunshine” Hermione said loudly after a minute with a raised eyebrow, holding a steaming mug and leaning against the kitchen cupboard.

As soon as he heard Hermione, Draco jumped up from the couch, his eyes still red from restless sleep and alcohol, began to look around the room, as if he was still in his nightmares and waiting for and enemy. His wand trembled in his hand as he went backwards and slammed his back into Hermione's bookshelf, knocking all the books that were there to the ground.

“Calm down, Malfoy. You just destroyed half of my stuff” Hermione said as coldly as she can, even though her heart was raceing.

“What a hell I’m doing in here? And where am I in the first fucking place?!”

“You are in my appartment, and I can ask you the same thing, what a hell are you doing here and what are you thinking Malfoy? Hermione placed the coffee mug on the cupboard and crossed her arms. “Sit down, it’s going to be an interesting conversation”.
