Roxanne “Roxie” Weasley is the youngest daughter and oldest twin child of George Weasley and Angelina Johnson. She is ten minutes older than her brother Freddie. The twins share different birthdates and years: Roxie was born right before midnight on New Year’s Eve 2003, while Freddie came into the world during the wee hours of New Year’s Day 2004.

Roxie was a tomboy growing up. Since they were all born around the same time, the twins, Louis, and James spent a lot of time together. She can roughhouse with the boys and play quidditch almost as good as her mom. Growing up with the wild Weasley boys meant that she learned how to kick all their asses, easily. While she doesn’t play pranks often, she is just as good as the boys. She may even be better than the boys; she has the look of innocence on her side. She can whip out puppy dog eyes and get away with anything. She is usually the last culprit anyone suspects.

Since Roxie didn’t have many girls around her age to hang out with, Nadia and Dominique made sure to spend time with her often. Amaya Jelani, Roxie’s god-sister, could often be found around the house keeping Roxie company as well. Although Amaya is almost a year older than Roxie, they grew up like sisters. When not at the Weasley-Johnson house, Roxie could be found at the Jelani house, hanging with Amaya and her sisters, and her godmother Evangeline Jelani. Evangeline always kept a lot of plants around the house and had a nice garden. It was with her that Roxie fell in love with gardening. She likes to call herself a “plant person”. At Hogwarts, herbology is one of her best subjects.

Roxie’s favorite aunt is Ginny. Ginny is a sports reporter for the WBBC (Wizarding British Broadcasting Corporation) and the Daily Prophet; it is Roxie’s goal to become a journalist when she grows up. Ginny always lets her tag along to the TV station and get a behind the scenes look at how a news program is made. Ginny and Angelina take their daughters and nieces to quidditch games often for girl’s trips; they get free tickets whenever they want.

Roxanne is in Gryffindor house. Once sorted into Gryffindor, she met her best friend, Erika Zabini. She is also friends with the children of her parents’ friends: Isabel Jordan (daughter of Lee Jordan) and Noel La Rue (son of Tommy La Rue), although they are in Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw respectively. Roxie’s other best subjects are arithmancy and astronomy. Roxie and Erika both took a liking to the astrology part of astronomy. This got them into zodiacs, horoscopes, and tarot. They are in Professor Trelawney’s good books. The girls drive their friends crazy by reading their horoscopes and blaming everything on “mercury being in retrograde”.

Roxie is an what her brother would call an “overachiever”. She is always busy. She likes to write poems and short stories and over the years she has gotten really good at it. With help from her head of house, she created a student run literary magazine/school newspaper called “The Hogwarts Herald”. It is published monthly and consists of student authored stories and news, with bulletins coming out every week. Roxie is the editor, and she hopes that it continues running after she graduates.

Although the school paper takes up a lot of her time, she still manages to get good grades and hopes to earn 8 OWLs next year. She is not currently on the Gryffindor quidditch team. She does play chaser, though, and plans on trying out for the team in her 6th year.

When Roxie graduates from Hogwarts, she wants to go to the University of London and major in journalism. She would love to be in intern with Witch Weekly one day.

Roxie inherited her mother’s love of box braids and usually keeps her hair in that style. When out of her school robes, she prefers clothing that are considered hipster and tomboy. She like her clothing slightly baggy and eccentric. She, along with her siblings, has a tattoo on her left bicep of one of the “Three Wise Monkeys”. Roxie is ‘see no evil’.

When not occupied with the school paper and everything else that keeps her busy, Roxie enjoys listening to American music. She fell in love with 90s R&B; she especially loves Aliyah, TLC, and Destiny’s Child. (Beyonce is a muggle, but TLC are witches).

Roxanne is a textbook example of a Capricorn.
