Gabby: *walks over to me with a smile* Hey, Lila
Me: Hey, Gabbs. What’s up
Gabby: The sky, anyways, I just wanted to see my best friend
Me: *fakes a smile, thoughts: I wish we were more* Nothing wrong with that
Gabby: *suddenly her face drops, gets nervous* Can I tell you something
Me: Y-yeah.. What’s wrong
Gabby: I’m.. moving in a week
Me: *heart breaks internally* Y-you are
Gabby: Y-yeah.. I wasn’t sure how to tell you. But a job I really want is out there.. I-i have to go
Me: *tries to give her a comforting smile* Y-yeah.. I get that
Gabby: *starts to tear up* But I don’t leave you.. You deserve so much more
Me: We still have the week.. *grabs her hands* And either way.. This *gestures around* is where I belong
Gabby: *wipes her tears, letting go off my hands* Yeah.. yeah, thanks *gives me a quick hug before leaving*

Me: It just feels odd.. You moving
Gabby: Oh.. yeah. Hey, do you mind driving me to the airport
Me: *finishes up packing* Yeah, sure
