Calla Gets Adopted

Scene: A neighborhood on a street called Privet Drive. An owl, sitting on the street sign flies off to reveal a mysterious appearing old man walking through a forest near the street. He stops at the start of the street and takes out a mechanical device and zaps all the light out of the lampposts. He puts away the device and a cat meows. The man, ALBUS DUMBLEDORE, looks down at the cat, which is a tabby and is sitting on a brick ledge.

Dumbledore: I should have known that you would be here...Professor McGonagall.

“Minnie!” The marauders and the golden trio shouted which caused both Calla and Lillie to roll their eyes and Professor McGonagall to grind her teeth in fond exasperation.

The cat meows, sniffs out and the camera pans back to a wall. The cat's shadow is seen progressing into a human. There are footsteps and MINERVA MCGONAGALL is revealed.

McGonagall: Good evening, Professor Dumbledore. Are the rumors true, Albus?

“Why are you guys at my sister's house,” Lilly raises an eyebrow at the two professors.

“It's scary how similar Calla is to your mum,” Ron whispered to Harry who nodded wide eyed

Dumbledore: I'm afraid so, Professor. The good, and the bad.

“Bad,” James whispered, leaning forward causing both Sirius and Remus to flinch.

McGonagall: And the twins?

“What's happened to the kids,” James whipped to his best friends who started to tear up. Regulus, who already knows that his plan is going to get him killed and figured that Lily and James were killed hesitantly put a hand on Sirius’ shoulder as a comfort. To his surprise he didn’t pull away but actually relaxed into it.

Dumbledore: Hagrid is bringing them.

McGonagall: Do you think it wise to trust Hagrid with something as important as this?

Albus: Ah, Professor, I would trust Hagrid with my life.

The trio spoke at the same time.

“Just not our secrets,” Calla added at the end

There is a motor sound, and the two professors look up to see a flying motorcycle coming down from the air. It skids on the street and halts. A large man, RUBEUS HAGRID, takes off his goggles.

Hagrid: Professor Dumbledore, Sir. Professor McGonagall.

Dumbledore: No problems, I trust, Hagrid?

Hagrid: No, sir. Little tyke fell asleep just as we were flying over Bristol. And his sisters been babbling all night long. Heh. Try not to wake him. There you go.

Hagrid hands the babies in blankets over to Dumbledore.

Most women and some boys cue at the two small babies.

McGonagall: Albus, do you really think it's safe, leaving them with these people? I've been watching them all day. They're the worst sort of Muggles imaginable. They really are

“I agree if we were dead and I assume we are at this point the two of them should have gone to their godfathers.” James stared down the ministry workers.

“I was in Azkaban because they thought I was your secret keeper and killed Peter,” Sirius defended himself. Regulus gripped his brother's hand tighter. Azkaban his stupidly brave and reckless older brother spent who knows how much time in Azkaban its a wonder that he’s sane. Then again maybe he never was. Regulus thought to himself considering.

“Without a trial,” Calla spat at the ministry workers lookin positively murderous. Amelia Bones narrowed her eyes at Fudge, beginning to realize exactly why she's here.

“And I was denied guardianship because of my condition,” Remus whispered

“Abliest’s,” Calla glowered even more in which she hesitantly allowed herself and Harry to be pulled into a side hug by their respective godfathers.

Dumbledore: The only family they have.

“Some family,” Harry scoffed gaining concerned looks

They stop outside a house.

McGonagall: This boy will be famous. There won't be a child in our world who doesn't know his name. And his sister still has her godfather.

Dumbledore: Exactly. He's better off growing up away from all that. Until he is ready. As for Mr. Lupin it wouldn't be fair to separate the twins.

“So I could have cared for them both. Besides, Augusta would have watched them once a month along with Neville.”. Lupin pointed out surprising people, especially Neville. Privately Calla wonders what it would have been like to grow up safe and loved with warm hugs and getting tucked in every night. She had no doubt that in some way Thalia loved her like a daughter but that didn’t make her a good mother, but she's trying.

Hagrid coughs and sniffles, he is crying. He clears his throat.

Dumbledore: There, there, Hagrid. It's not really good-bye, after all.

Hagrid nods. Dumbledore takes a letter and places it on baby Harry, who is now at the foot of the door. The baby has a visible lightning-bolt shaped scar on his forehead.

Dumbledore: Good luck… Harry and Calla Potter.

As the adults leave, Calla wiggles out of her blanket and starts to stumble down towards the street before a dark tanned woman with green eyes looms in front of her.

There were whispers of confusion. No one but Fudge and Calla knew what was going on.

Thalia: What a strong young girl you are…

She plays with Calla for a second where she shows no fear to the strange woman.

“No self preservation,” Hermione groaned, tossing her hands in the air, “both of you,'' she added, gaining concerned looks once again from everyone directed towards the twins.

Thalia: have you been abandoned… don’t worry I have a son your age I think you will like him

She lifts Calla then walks away

“This is why I was denied guardianship, it was a cover up,” Remus spoke calmly but his eyes flashed gold. Amelia narrowed her eyes at Fudge. From what she's been hearing, inquiry is definitely necessary. Fudge paled drastically at the disgusted looks sent his way.

then camera switches to Harry and pans into the scar and the opening title shows:

THE POTTER TWINS AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE
