Ivy looked around the little town and smiled. She loved to visit her cousin. Her mood was dampened slightly when she heard the complaints coming from some of the so called pure bloods behind her. She began to wonder if it was worth bringing them along when Cornelius squeezed her shoulder and gave her a smile. Ivy smiled in return and began to walk along a road looking for a particular sign. She found it when a blonde girl, Luna, if Ivy remembered correctly, stubbed her toe on it.
Ivy walked over to check on Luna “Are you alright?” Luna smiled slightly and nodded her head. Ivy smiled and patted Luna’s shoulder and looked at the rather crude sign on the ground. The sign read “To Villa Villekula”. Ivy smiled at the group from Britain’s magical world “It’s not far now. We will be their soon enough.” Ivy smiled, then, started breathing heavily “Blasted enhancements.” Ivy growled and withdrew a machete. She proceeded to cut a limb from a nearby tree and use it as a walking stick. Soon enough, the group came upon an old looking house. Ivy smiled in relief and happiness.
Ivy walked up the steps to the front door of the house and rang the doorbell. A boy and girl opened it. Ivy looked at the two and smiled “I’m looking for my cousin, Pippi Longstocking. Is she in?” The boy smiled “You must be Pippi’s cousin, Ivy. Come in.” The boy and girl led the group into the house. Ivy looked about and smiled. The magically raised kids looked around in confusion. Luna and her two best friends, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, looked like they would enjoy living there. The girl who helped greet Ivy at the door looked into the kitchen and called out “Pippi! Your cousin’s here! She brought some guests.” A redhead girl with freckles that would make a Weasley jealous turned from her work at the big stove and smiled brightly. She jumped off the stool and happily ran to Ivy and gave her a hug that would most likely crush bones to powder. Ivy laughed happily.
Pippi smiled at her cousin “Ivy! I’m glad you could make it. Who are your friends?” Ivy grinned “These are guests from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I brought them here instead of to Beauxbatons. Olympe suggested I take a break from helping at the school. I decided to bring them to visit you. I could only bring 4 students and two Ministry officials with me.” Ivy motioned for Cornelius to step forward “Pippi, I’d like for you to meet a very good friend of mine, Cornelius Fudge, Minister of Magic for Great Britain.” Pippi smiled and shook Cornelius’ hand “Its a pleasure to meet you. Any friend of Ivy’s is a friend of mine!” There was a knock at the door. Ivy grinned and whispered something to Pippi then ran into another room with her bag. Ivy emerged looking like an older version of Pippi. Ivy walked to the door and opened it. Two gentlemen she remembered from previous trips looked at her in surprise.
Thunder Karlsson and Bloom were rather inept at being thieves. They once tried to steal a treasure chest full of gold from Pippi. Instead, she ended up charming them and they’ve been close friends and allies of hers ever since. They were visiting Pippi today to tell her about some suspicious looking characters that were traveling with Ivy. When the door opened, they were rather surprised when an older looking Pippi stared back at them. Bloom was the first to speak “Pippi! You’ve grown. How did that happen? We saw you in town yesterday.” “Pippi” grinned and invited the two in. She proceeded to walk into the kitchen and make pancakes at the stove. The real Pippi walked up to Thunder Karlsson and Bloom and waved at them. They waved back, then, looked at the older and younger Pippi. Ivy brought the pancakes to the table and set them down “Thunder Karlsson and Bloom! It’s good to see you both again.” Thunder Karlsson smiled and laughed “It’s good to see you again, Ivy. You really had us fooled. You look just like Pippi.”
A toad like woman spoke up “Hem hem. Why are we visiting this riff raff. Shouldn’t we be visiting important officials in the Swedish magical government? It’s bad enough we are traveling with a mud blood and halfblood.” A blonde boy voiced his agreement. Ivy was about to get up from her chair and say something in reply when Pippi reached out and grabbed Ivy’s arm. Ivy looked at Pippi and nodded slightly. Pippi stood up and looked solemnly at the toad like woman and blonde boy “I have never had to ask someone to leave my home. It looks like today is a day for firsts. Please leave through the front door.” Pippi sat back down looking tired and sad. The mood in the kitchen soured slightly. Ivy got up to show the toad like woman and blonde buy the door.
When the three had walked out the door, Ivy activated a C5 corridor and watched as the two dropped down into a volcano full of molten lava. Ivy deactivated the C5 and walked back into the kitchen. She smiled as she heard tales of laughter coming from Pippi and her guests. Ivy sat back down and began to eat her meal. Cornelius looked at Ivy and smiled “Ivy, you told me that this trip was meant to learn of the most wonderful gift on Earth. What is it?” Ivy looked around the table at Pippi, Tommy, Annika, Thunder Karlsson and Bloom, Harry, Hermione, Luna, and Cornelius “That gift... is a Gift from God. Love of family.” Pippi smiled at Ivy and hugged her.
