Worth Twelve More
The holidays has finally ended and the school was once again full of life as students upon students returned feom home. Classes was spowly stsrting to go back to normal but the vacation still held on and some studnets end up going to classes late or end up sleeping in too much.
Quidditch season was resuming yet again and it was going to be up against Hufflepuff and if they win, they wouls finally overtake Slytherin and take the housecup for themselves, a feet that the snakes have gotten for seven years straight.
The only problem was...
Professor Snape was going to become the referee.
That's how Raph found the trio, huddled up in their own little space in the common room, talking about the ways Harry cpuld avoid playing because the Potions Professor hated his guts.
"If you really want to break a leg, i can do that for you." Raph says, cracking his knuckles, making Harry's eyes widen before shaking his head. This made the Hamato chuckle to himself. "The offer still stands."
Before anyone can even talk, the potrait door swung open, revealing a hopping Neville struggling to go through the portrait hole, his legs seemed to be conjoined by some sort of invisible binding. Everyone immediately laughed, heck, Raph was also guilty but Hermione jumped over to Neville to perform a counter curse for the Leg-Locker that was casted upon the poor Gryffindor.
"What happened?" Hermione asked as she leads Neville towards the others. Raph coughed in his hand to stop the laughter that still shook him, feeling a bit guilty.
"Malfoy." Neville answers. "He saw me outside the library and told me he's been waitong for someone to practice that on."
"Go to Professor Mcgonagall!" Hermione immediately says. "You have to report him!"
"I dont want trouble." he mumbles. From that moment, Raph can't help but think back to the time Donnie helped the pulveriser... Or Timothy. At first he laughed at Donnie, that guy had zero potential to be a ninja, and hey, he wasn't the one responsible for him anyways and the guy ended up turning himself into a mutagen monster. From that point on Donnie figured he's not that great of a teacher.
This guy has no back bone, at least Timothy was brave (and dumb) enoigh to at least try and do something. So that won't do.
"You're worth twelve of Malfoy." Harry says as he hands Neville the last of his chocolate frogs to make him feel better. "Here, you can have it."
"Thanks, Harry... Here, you can have the card, i know you collect those... I think i'm going to bed."
Before Neville could even turn around, Raph grabbed his shoulder.
"Hey." The trio and Neville all looked at him with different degrees of curiosity. Neville was a bit afraid, he's never personally talked to Raph and he sees his outburts of anger all the time, he wonders what he needs him for. "You know, I know someone that can help you, as Harry said, be worth twelve of Malfoy."
"He's grinning." Ron whispers a bit too loudly. "I don't like that grin."
Neville goes pale, but he figures it was too late to decline.
The next day, Raph dragged Neville's ass towards the brother's usual hauntings in the morning. Donnie raised an eye brow but continued on with teaching Mikey about their latest Charms spells by letting the younest draw on paper, since he's more of a visual learner. Leo was drinking warm tea when he looked up to them.
"Good morning." Leo greets. "And hello to you too." He says, smiling warmly.
Neville was a bit nervous around Leo. Well, he did save him from breaking a bone and visited him to make sure he was okay after he got checked up in the hospital wing, but he's too afraid to even say or approach him to say thank you. He doesn't understand why or how Raoh introducing him to his brothers is going to help hom witu his Malfoy problem.
"So, you already know ny brothers." Raph says. "Donnie." "Hello." "Mikey." "Waddup, Dawg!" "and what we came here for, Leo."
"You need me for something?" Leo chuckles. "That's a first."
"Yeah well, i need you to teach this." He sits down and gestures to all of Neville, making him shimmy in his spot because of the look Leo gave him. "Self defense."
Leo places his cup down gently. "May i ask why?"
"Malfoy decided it would be fun to bully him."
"You know, i can talk to him if you want to." Leo says. "He's in my house and i'm sure he'll stop if we talked."
"As much as i would love for you to do that, Leo, but with someone like Malfoy?" Donnie gently slaps Mikey's hand away from his sandwhich. "He's not gonna listen until he gets in trouvle for it. So i say..."
"Beat him up!" Mikey cheers.
"Woah woah, since when are you too the violence guys?" Leo jokes. "I thought it was Raph."
"Ha ha, very funny." Raph rolls his eyes. "Now are you going to teach him or not?"
"That depends... Is he willing to learn?"
All four pairs of eyes stared right at Neville. Honestly, he feels like he's about to faint from all the attention. He fidgets in his place, eyes flickering to the Slytherin table, catching Malfoy's eye who sneered rught back at him.
Right... He's worth twelve of Malfoy.
"I... I would love to learn!" He bows, that's what he sees Leo do in their sorting, right? That's what Japanese people do as a sign of respect! He heard Hermione say that too!
"Okay then, Neville." Leo gently takes his uand in his, shaking it. "I'll take you in as a student."
"Sensei Leo is back!" Mikey cheers.
"You just don't want to teach him yourself, don't you?" Donnie whispers to Raph.
"I'm not the sensei here, aren't i?"
"Touché."
Leo has been teaching Neville self defense in abandoned classrooms, Donnie transfigures some of the desks as mats they can safely use to cushion the fall. He thought him how to land punches, how to block punches and how to dodge. It has it's ups and downs. Neville would be too nervous to try and hit Leo full force, which was what he needs to figure out how effectively he can teach Neville to fight so instead, they focused on his defense since he's not a very confrontational person. Leo taught him how to even redirect people's attacks, to move their momentum so it won't hit him and so he has enough time to run away. It's a slow process with Neville always somehow gainong a new bruise from a seemingly unrelated reason but the Slytherin's gentle and unharsh teaching style helped with his slowly building confident.
He didn't quite master everything but to thwir surprise, in a little spar against Donnie, he managed to judo flip the taller Ravenclaw into the mat.
"Why is it always me!" Donnie svreams into the mat as Mikey was shaking Neville, congratulating him because that was his first ever succesful technique. Raph and Leo fist bumosat the side.
While he did that, Raph was tasked with spying over at the trio, he learned that they figured out whatever that was inside the trap door of the forbidden corridor was. A special magical stome a guy named Nicholas Flamel has entrusted Dumbledore into keeping safe at Hogwarts.
"It's not coincidence." Donnie would say as they lazed about in their secret room. "Whatever that's possessing Quirrel is probably after the Stone, since it grants immortality. It needs a body after all if it's iust attached to his head."
"Who do you think it is, though?" Mikey asks. "I feel like we're missing something big here."
"We'll figure it out." Leo says. "But we have a Quidditch match to watch and as much as i love to stay here, we gotta support your house, Mikey."
"Hey! I thought you're supporting mine!" Raph didn't whine, he wasn't whining.
"Keep that up and i'll join the Hufflepuffs." Donnie says.
It was also great that Donnie decided to join Raph. They had the front row seats to the inevitable fight between the Slytherins and the Gryffindors in the stand.
Hermione was too busy watching over Harry carefully to see Ron practically throwing himself at Malfoy after his comments about his brothers. Donnie was about to interfere when Raph, looking ever sk smug, stopped him and pointed at Neville, who was using everything Leo briefly taught him against the hulking figures of. He manages to judo flip Goyle, making Donnie cheer (at least it wasn't him that was being flipped)
The Gryffindors end up winning and in the haze of the cheering ground, Malfpy and his goons ran off as the brothers decided that yeah, it was tome to interfere, Ron gaining scratches and bruises as well as Neville, but significantly less so.
"Did you see that, Raph?!" Neville shouts, adrenaline pumping in his veins, his knuckles bruised. "I did it! Did you see?!"
"Yeah i did, buddy, great fucking job!"
"You're a really bad influence." Leo wpuld end up saying after they told him. "I told him not to resort to violence."
"Yeah but Ron punched first for him."
"Hence, you're a influence."
"You're proud of him, and you know it."
