"I'm supposed to be with you at all times!"
The very last words she said to her.
When the terrible news had come, Anthy couldn't help but sob. Saionji seemed shocked. "Why are you crying?" He asked her.
"My very best friend has died and you are asking me that?!" She shouted, anger in voice...? Saionji gave her a questioning look. "But you...you're the Rose Bride? I thought you had no free will..." He seemed a little concerned for her, now.
Has she really understood the concept of pain this entire time?
What sort of man am I, then? God! What sort of cruelty is this?
"I don't understand...why wouldn't she talk to me about it? She was the engaged!" Anthy screamed, practically. The highschooler boy had never seen her act in such a way.
Perhaps this...
He didn't finish the thought. Instead he decided he would try to bring happiness to Anthy, without hitting on her this time.
"God! Don't touch me---!" Anthy snapped. She really was acting unusal. "Can't you see? Can't you see how disgusting you are to me? All of you disgust me!" She grunted.
"I just thought perhaps you wanted...a hug, or something like--" Saionji paused. "Who disgusts you?" He questioned.
"Are you stupid or something?!" Anthy growled. Suddenly she let out a cruel laugh. "Who am I kidding? Of course you are!" She continued to crack herself up, and shoved Saionji. "Ah. Now I understand why people have such fun being mean to me."
She giggled some more. "Bullying you is fun, Lettuce head." She snickered. Saionji felt a little upset, but just let it happen.
"Ha! Haha! Ha! Ha! Ha!" Anthy had fun tormenting the poor boy. "Anthy...you've really lost it, huh?" Saionji mumbled. "And so what if I have!" She replied.

That night, Anthy couldn't sleep. She was still feeling empty. This must have been how she felt when Touga took me away.o
Maybe thats why she....
Anthy let the thought linger. Tears spilled down her face. I never got to tell her... how much I...
"Didn't get to tell me what?" A soft, sweet and familiar voice asked. Oh, please! Please let it be real! Anthy thought.
"Let what be real, Anthy? Why are you crying?" Utena asked. "But I thought that you..." Anthy trailed off. "Nevermind it!" She hugged Utena tightly; and Utena hugged back. "Hello, sweet pea. What happened while I was gone that made you sad? Tell me please..." She murmured.
"It must have been a dream. I thought that you had died. I don't know what came over me. I was acting so weird...oh my! I was very cruel to Saionji, I should apologize-" The tomboy interrupted. "Who's that?" She asked, seemingly genuinely unaware.
"Saionji? Vice President of the Student Council? And you know, a duelest?" Anthy explained. "Duel...?" Utena questioned, and chuckled. "You say strange things sometimes, dear." She played with a strand of Anthy's hair.
"Well, goodnight love." She kissed Anthy's forehead. Anthy had a strange feeling in her gut. But she decided to leave it be. "Goodnight, Miss Utena."
