A journey of secrets and surprises? No, just the Malfoys!
Harry woke up, bright and early to start his day.
Well, he did wake up early but since it was three in the morning in November, it was pitch black outside.
He got ready for the day and left. He didn't wake up this early to avoid Sirius and Remus; he had things to do and people to stealborrow rehome... Okay, so maybe he was also avoiding them but he did need to get up this early, not seeing them for a few hours is merely a bonus.
He wasn't angry with them; he felt ashamed.
What did they think of him now?
Would they think he was obsessive and evil? He certainly acted it. They probably expected their friends' child to be better than this.
Oh Merlin, what would his parents think if he could see them now? They would surely be disappointed in him.
These thoughts had kept him awake all night but he couldn't help it. He promised to himself to make things right and that was what he was going to do.
Contrary to popular belief, Harry didn't just kidnap every child he sees. That would be ridiculous. No, Harry thinks carefully about who he knew that deserved a better home.
He also thought about what he had achieved so far. Jamie has loving guardians who give a damn about him. Frankie has supportive guardians that won't put unnecessary pressure on him. Koru has appropriate guardians that will help him grow into the man his future self was.
That was why he apparated to Malfoy Manor.
He found that he could disable the wards enough that he could slip inside with a little hard work. He wore his invisibility cloak and had disillusion charms on him to hide his presence. He then made his way into the house with ease.
He saw no one in sight so he made his way up the stairs. He focused his magic and used a wordless 'point me' charm to locate Draco's nursery.
He opened the door cautiously and made his way inside. The room was dark with a black and green colour scheme. He walked over to the king-sized jet-black bed with dark green quilts and saw the little face of a young Draco Malfoy peeking out of the sheets.
He placed a silencing charm on the boy just in case and then picked him up carefully. He saw nothing of sentimental value in the room, not even a teddy, so he left everything where it was. He left the room after placing a note on the bedside table.
There were no house elves around so he walked downstairs towards the door when he stopped.
The diary.
He knew that if he left now, he wouldn't get a chance like this again. Temptation gave in and he began searching the house. He opened several doors, trying to connect with the diary until he felt something in a room that looked like a study. He quickly searched through the draws and found the diary in one of them.
He grabbed it and was just about to leave when he heard someone come in.
He panicked for a moment before realising that he was invisible.
He slowly turned around before stopping in shock.
Dobby.
Of course he would be here. He used to be The Malfoy's elf before Harry helped him.
What could he do?
He didn't want to leave him but how would Dobby react?
He didn't know Harry properly until he tried to save his life and now he was holding The Malfoys' son. As if that wasn't suspicious and untrustworthy.
Harry decided to be careless and risky. He shed his invisibility cloak and disillusion charms- after casting a silencing charm around the room of course.
