I made a werewolf cry? Oops.

It was their first night in their new house and they were sat in their new living room.

Remus and Sirius were both sat on the grey loveseat. Remus was lying across the couch with his back to the arm of the chair. One of his hands were holding a book from his new room that he had taken an interest in. The other was running though the strands of Sirius' hair. Said man was lying with his head in Remus' lap, bouncing a baby Harry up and down in the air.

Harry was sat in the green armchair, cuddling Neville who was already falling asleep. He was lost in thought as he thought of everything that had to be done soon.

First of all, he needed to plan his parent's funeral. This was something that he really needed to do but he was dreading it so much. Honestly, it was the last thing that he wanted to do. He, Sirius and Remus had discussed a few things but they all tried to avoid the topic.

He also needed to pay a visit to a few different people. He needed to find a way to protect his family but how could he do that when he was so much older than them. He couldn't go to school with them anymore so how could he protect them from threats like Voldemort.

Voldemort and his blasted horcruxes are another major item on his to-do list. At least this time he knew where most if not all are. Would anything change if he destroyed them before he made his return? He would have to wait a few years for some of the items. Wallburga Black would have to die before he could have access to the locket. He also couldn't just stroll into Hogwarts to get the diadem. Bellatrix wouldn't just hand over the key to her vault. He couldn't just kill himself. Well he could but he refused to hurt a child for the 'greater good'. He wasn't Dumbledore for Merlin's sake.

He still had to meet with The Weasleys. He knew that they wouldn't legally be related to him any more but they would always be his family. Molly and Arthur wouldn't suffer the stress and pain that came with their children constantly being harmed. Fred wouldn't die again and George would have perfect hearing. Harry would make sure of it. Bill, Charlie and Percy would also be okay. They wouldn't have to be some kind of soldier to protect the people that they care about. Ron wouldn't have to look for danger because he wouldn't have a chance until he was old enough to decide for himself. Ginny wouldn't be hurt and used by Riddle in her first year. She wouldn't have to worry about her family or boyfriend dying. Harry had lost his wife coming back to the past but that didn't mean that he was going to try anything with the younger Ginny. She wasn't his Ginny anyway, she was just someone who shared her looks, name and family. They would have completely different experiences to each other.

After The Weasleys, he'd have to look out for the rest of the DA, as well as some of the older ones. They were all his family after all.

His family.

He really, really missed them. He wondered what he would do if he'd had a way to go back to them that day. Would he have gone? Would he have stayed? What was the moral decision? Was there even a good decision or were they all selfish?

He was snapped out of his troubling thoughts by Sirius' voice, "What's on your mind, Harry?"

He looked up to see both Sirius and Remus looking at him.

He quickly played it off though, "Did I ever tell you about the time that I was turned into a werewolf?"

"What?!"

...Oops. Maybe he shouldn't have phrased it like that. At least they aren't worried anymore though. That was the main thing, right?

"So, I'm guessing you want to here the story then?" he sarcastically muttered as he rolled his eyes fondly.

"You're a werewolf?... It wasn't my fault...was it?"

Harry's eyes softened as he saw the genuine fear and guilt dancing in Remus' eyes. "No, Remus, it wasn't your fault. Don't worry. It was actually Teddy who bit me. I was helping him through a transformation a few years ago when it happened."

"Teddy... So it was my fault. I shouldn't have had a child. It was too selfish of me and now you are both cursed due to me."

"Oi! My godson isn't cursed and neither are you. I'm not actually a werewolf anymore. I took a potions mastery after the war and spent a lot of my time working on a potion to cure lycantrophy. It did actually work. Any werewolf who doesn't want to be a werewolf anymore could take the potion. The ministry had no choice but to accept that they are no different from everyone else. My sister, Hermione, was the Minister for Magic and passed a few legislations to protect magical creatures. Werewolves' rights were one of them. I took the cure and, as his guardian, I got Teddy to take it as well. I wouldn't mind him being a werewolf if he wouldn't be in pain but I knew he would be. He understood so he took it. Our son is fine. I'm fine."

"You made a cure..." he trailed of as he started chuckling weakly. "Why should I expect anything different from Lily and James' kid. You're something special Harry, I'll give you that," Remus smiled.

"I can make one for you as well if you want."

He didn't get a response but he could tell that Remus was grateful. Remus was so sure that he would die a 'monster' so obviously being told that he could live like a 'normal' wixen was overwhelming to him.

He could see how emotional Remus was getting so he picked up Neville and took Harry from Sirius. They all went to his room to sleep in his bed. He would give the Marauders the space they needed but he found himself needing company himself. He was confronted by thoughts of the family that he would never get back.
