Everything was playing out satisfying today. Things were going good with your classes, your grades were as good as to one's liking, not even that but your teachers loved you, especially McGonagall. Every time she talked with you you noticed how she valued what you and Draco had dearly, almost as if it was out of the ordinary. Even with those weird encounters she seems so happy you accumulated to going to Hogwarts, making you wonder why you weren't here way sooner. Things were also pleasant with the Gryffindor trio since they stopped saying stupid shit to Malfoy that pissed him off, making it easier for you to control the boys anger. With you and Pansy however, there had been some tension between the two of you ever since a heated night in the common room.
For context, you and Draco were sitting on the green couch in the Slytherin common room's living room, listening to the fireplace crackle munching on candies and just talking about the day when Parkinson decided to scoot her way over there and make herself known. It was already really late at night and past curfew so you had a very apparent attitude. It was just what the night owl did to you, really.
-
"It's midnight people!" Parkinson squealed as she ran down the small little steps to the common room's living room to where you and Draco were sitting on the couch, opposite ends of each other as you gripped onto one of it's light green pillows desperately, noticing Parkinson's entrance as she sat down across, sitting on the grand green arm chair. Draco side eyed her uncomfortably as he turned back to your gaze, continuing to talk to you.
"You guys aren't going to tell me the conversation?" She commented, to which Draco shot her a look again.
"It's nothing, just about personal things." Malfoy told her, his arrogant tone getting in the way of replying her. She noticed this as she scoffed to his comment, sitting more upright to judge his remark in a more efficient manner.
"What's up with you?" She questioned, her twinkle dying down, "You've changed."
"Yeah well maybe I just don't find the need in talking to someone who judges me like all the fucking time." He spat at her, her expression clearly showing the damage his words held against her. She tried her best to hide the mental bruise as she mentally prepared herself for answering, taking a small pause.
"...You know what I've noticed? Ever since { last name's } been here, she's brought us to grow apart from each other, y'know? Maybe she should just go back to wherever she came from." Your orbs squinted when she said that as you as your head leisurely turned around to view her. Your insides beamed of disgust as you glared at the attention-seeking bitch that Parkinson is.
"What the fuck is wrong with you? Chill the fuck out, I'm not even doing anything." You fumed like those cartoon characters with smoke coming out of their heads as you bellowed your response, your words penetrating her presence like shots fired on a stone wall. You felt the upper corner of your eyebrow twitching in disturbance as you waited for her answer.
"Actually, since I'm being so honest right now, I'll say exactly what I think about you. I think you are nothing but a perfect little bitch, that you only transferred because nobody could fucking stand how much of a goody two shoes you are, and that your parents regret birthing the ever loving shit out of you. All you've done here is hold this high fucking ego for yourself where you act like a damsel in distress, also while you wait for Draco to mend all the father issues you're probably coping with, and be a complete disturbance to everybody else's success." Immediately, your emotions boiled with anger as you felt your mind trapped within the midst of your body heat and disgusting insults to throw at her.
"You know what Parkinson? I'm glad you said that, because you know what I think of you? I think you're a jealous, big-nosed, bobble headed, ugly bitch that envies me because you know you'll never be as good as me. It's too bad your fat crush on Draco isn't working out too well considering he's distanced himself from you this whole fucking school year. It's not my fault I'm better than you and your whole fucking family, oh, and one more thing!" You preached, lifting yourself up from the couch, your company stepping right up into her poker face as you placed your finger an inch away from her face aggressively.
"Talk about me all the fuck you want, but don't say SHIT about my parents, or else I will fucking COME for you!" You screamed right into her face to which she scowled, her facial expressions showing the clear injuries your words left on her. You felt yourself wanting to run as you let your legs stomp away to a different room, your hands running through your hair in despair as you only tried to calm yourself down. You could hear belts of screams coming from the other room of Parkinson vastly insulting you, making no halt to catch a breath. You felt your eyes shut rapidly, trying your best to shut out everything before you went out there yelling. You held yourself in discomfort as your ears were able to pick up Draco defending you.
"Parkinson, what the fuck?" Was all you heard, however, the fact Draco didn't call her by her first name just said a lot, making you ponder what Parkinson would do next as your feet shuffled against the unknown room. You could only hold yourself in that enclosed space for so long until you finally decided you had enough of her antics, the worries and fears leaving your body so suddenly as your presence was made in the original room.
"Because I LIKE YOU DRACO!" Your head snapped back into reality as you clearly heard her announce her confession, your mouth curling into a smile of disbelief as you felt your palms become sweaty and ready to snap her neck.
"Really? Is that the whole reason you decided to treat me like shit, Parkinson? Because of fucking Draco?" You bellowed, your voice cracking out of the bruising she had caused onto you. The fact that she was able to hate you over a guy just impacted you terribly.
"Yeah, and so what if it is? Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to see you two so close every single day? Knowing that I will never come close to the relationship you two have?" She asked you as you couldn't even answer her due to how ridiculous she sounded. Really? Over a fucking boy who can't even express his emotions properly? You could feel yourself going insane at what spewed out of her mouth.
"Parkinson, go to bed." Draco growled, her head speeding like a bolt of lightning as her gaze met his voice.
"But-"
"I said, go to bed." He affirmed as you could hear her swallow to herself, a small pause taking over her body before slowly walking away. You could hear her little winces proving that she was going to cry, her feet dragging on the ground like the shifting of cardboard boxes on pavements. You could only stand there, your eyes fixated onto what was going on and your body unable to move from the paralyzing shock that came with it.
-
You still could paint everything out in your heard as it was fresh in your memory. The whole interaction had been replaying in your head throughout the day as you were prone to seeing her due to sharing classes, and she was clearly upset. Throughout your classes together she had been ignoring your view of sight, avoiding group work when partnered together, going to the bathroom whenever she was obligated to do something with you. Teachers were so upset with her that she got an after school detention where she would have to clean up messed up experiments in the Potions classroom. You knew to yourself that after that incident, you and Parkinson's relationship would never be the same again but at the same time you couldn't help and wonder what would have to happen if you both were to be friends again. I mean, it might as well never happen again.
The most shocking part about it all was the unsuspected confession Parkinson made that night. You definitely asked Draco about what he felt but it only led to her own disappointment since he said, and you quote, 'I would never date that crazy bitch'. Poor Parkinson. Liking someone who doesn't like her must hurt like hell, considering how long they've known each other.
Leading back to your day, you were scurrying to the dining hall since you were batshit hungry after a Quidditch practice, Draco alongside you as you walked through the long empty corridors of Hogwarts. This day was especially difficult to get past so you just wanted to eat and head to bed, not worrying about anything else but how comfy your bed is going to be tonight. Either way, as you and Draco charged through the halls you both talked about drama that was happening surrounding the Ravenclaw house, the whole thing being crazy but refreshing to listen to considering its not something about Slytherin drama.
"And then, you know what he told her?" You gossiped.
"What?"
"That his mother had been sleeping with her father! During the same time his mother and his father were still together!"
"You're lying." Draco told you, a smile escaping his lips as he looked at you. Your head moved side to side as a cheeky grin curled onto your cheeks. You both burst into laughter as you entered the entrance of the dining hall, being greeted by the scent of seafood and meat. You heard your stomach growling in starvation as you hurried to find a seat, noticing Parkinson wasn't sitting in her usual spot but all the way to the other side of the table where she spoke with the same people that you and Draco talked to last time. You both were able to exchange a humored glimpse at each other before making your way to your original seats, talking and exchanging small sweeps of laughter with each other. To be honest, you kind of admitted to yourself that the whole experience of eating at the dining hall was so much better than having Parkinson being there.
-
It was the last moments after supper where everyone was getting ready to head to bed in the common rooms. You had just gotten back after eating the best lobster in your life as you shut the door of the common room, being the last person to enter. You grabbed your bed wear and entered the bathroom where you shoved the clothing onto your body, so ready to get to bed. However, when shutting the door of the bathroom you were greeted by Malfoy who slapped your mouth before you could say anything with his hands.
"Come with me." He muttered as he took your hand, leading you out to the common room. Your body was so exhausted that you couldn't even fight back, following him back to the entrance of the common room where he stopped you.
"Draco what the fu-" He had shoved his lips onto yours, his body pushing into yours. You were so shocked that you were unable to process the kiss at first, struggling to accept the embrace however after a few seconds warming up to it. Small little pecks turned into him begging an entrance inside of you, which is when your back hit the wall, his male presence making itself known to you. You hesitated at first, however decided to accept his tongue as it swirled around your mouth as if it was hungry for you. You followed his same moments as your hands met his face, then his hair, and then his waist as you grasped him closer to you. He suddenly let go as your hands quickly shifted off of him.
....
"I knew it."
