As you heard the sound of small birds singing a little chirp you felt the warm sunny day washing over yourself as you laid in bed, just woken out of your slumber. The shines of the bright sun developed warm areas on your body, your consciousness soothing into those, looking for comfort. As you began to really wake up, you thought about what happened, especially last night. You slept surprisingly well, especially with all that drama that fussed around your friends. Even so, you still would ponder on why Draco was the way he was. After the incident at the dining hall, in the dorm room when engaging in a conversation with Parkinson, she actually fussed up that Draco had never looked after someone like that before while in Hogwarts, so why did he do it? You hazily yawned, lazily rubbing your eyes to get adjusted to he sunlight as you kicked the covers off of you, seeing it was a little too hot and you weren't ready to think about such topics.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." You heard a familiar sounding voice hover above you. You swiftly squinted your eyes to view the person, immediately recognizing Pansy Parkinson, already in her uniform. Thinking about your conversation with her literally summoned her over to you.

"What time is it..?" You groaned as you placed your head to rest on your knees. You heard a small giggle come from her mouth before even responding.

"Time for you to get ready. Good lord, you're the last one to wake up { first name }!" She complained as you now felt it necessary to charge out of the bed, forcing your senses to get comfortable with the day. The last one?  You pondered, lazily trying your best to function after such short notice. You huffed, getting up and sitting on the floor to open the cabinet under your bed which revealed some school supplies, regular clothes, and your school uniform, along with your wand. You grabbed your necessary items for the day, feeling something fuzzy brush on your back, immediately recognizing Gigi, your cute little blue-eyed black cat.

"Good morning Gigi." You chimed, turning around to give her a small peck on her head before lifting yourself up and heading to the changing rooms. One at a time, you got yourself ready, the uniform being extremely complicated, also with the fact you had no clue how to maneuver a tie. You sighed, slightly embarrassed walking out of the changing area and into the common room where you were almost suddenly face to face with Malfoy as he eyed you up and down in the uniform, noticing your tie was untied.

"{ first name }? Your tie.." He whispered softly in a small little raspy voice which made your heart skip a beat.

"I know Draco, I have no experience with ties since we never had them in my old school. Maybe if you'd just do it I wouldn't have this problem." You indirectly pleaded as he glared at you, finally giving in as he started to do your tie. His eyes remained locked onto your collar as you only stared at his oddly adorable concentrated face, his eyes roaming around your neck area as he began to finish the tie. You could only admire the Slytherin boy as he did so, finally finishing, leaning back upwards with a job well done.

"There. You going to ask for anything else?" He whined as you chuckled at his vicious complaining in a satisfactory sarcastic tone.

"Nothing more Malfoy. One more question though." You stopped, making him roll his eyes and cross his arms in a mood, his orbs shooting into yours.

   "What?"

"Come to breakfast with me.. sorry, that wasn't a question." You remarked, a large grin almost carved out to be on your face. You noticed his pale skin turned a light pink as he sunk his lips into his mouth, eyeing you in a odd manner. You felt the sensation of assurance wash over you as he began to become nervous, shuffling in his shoes.

"Y-Yeah. I can do that. Come on." He stuttered, pushing you forward a tad bit to start walking as you could only laugh in response, walking side by side to the dining hall. You passed by many crowds of groups of duos of students who just laughed and enjoyed the day, also walking to eat. You realized some students had a thing for looking at Draco, and then turning their focus to you since you both were walking together, which made you feel sort of unsettled and odd. Just another thing to be worrying about, a bunch of stares from people you didn't even know. Even as you were walking, you still questioned in your mind that encounter the previous night you had with Draco and what exactly his intentions were. You shook the weird stares off while clearing your mind, arriving to the dining hall with its doors wide open as you and Malfoy stepped foot into the area, walking to the Slytherin table and finding two empty seats, conveniently being across from Pansy Parkinson.

"Seems like you finally made it { first name }." Pansy snickered, teasingly playing around with you.

"Oh shut it!" You yelped, you both turning into laughter at her cheeky remark. You had then taken realization that Harry Potter was staring at you from the Gryffindor table. You remained eye contact for a few seconds when he then smiled, waving at you. You grinned back to him, also exchanging the same wave making Pansy and Draco notice of this. You felt both of the Slytherins turn their eyes to him, Pansy having to turn her head where it was poking from the crook of her neck just to take a small glance at the teen, scowling in reply as Malfoy made a face you would never forget, nudging his hand onto your arm tightly as he tugged at Potter's patience, snarling and then going back to eating.

"Oh come on Malfoy, shove off on him." You told the boy, munching on a piece of bacon. You had no mental capacity to deal with Draco's ignorance this morning.

"He's a little mistake, that's what he is. Someone has to hold him accountable." He most certainly ignored your advice as he insulted Potter, making you only lose patience, swirling your eyes up at him and turning your gaze to your plate as you ate slowly, dreading to go to class as you were mildly tired from waking up this early. You honestly didn't really know whether you would get used to it or not, maybe you would, maybe you wouldn't. Who knows?

Your senses of noise had picked up something as you looked to the door where you watched both Hermione and Ron walk into the dining hall, finding a seat across from Harry to where their backs were facing Pansy's back as well. You watched Potter move his mouth, saying something to them as they turned around to look at you, also exchanging a sweet smile, Hermione excitedly waving her white palm towards you. Malfoy caught onto this once again, his face turning back into that dreadful frown.

"Leave us alone!" He yelled strictly to the table as you turned to face him, your eyebrows furrowed in annoyance as you shoved him back slightly, then turning back to face the trio. He had noticeably called the attention of some other Slytherins too, as most agreed with Malfoy while others only watched the situation unfold. You caught a sly glare Harry shyly directed towards Malfoy, them both silently bickering with their faces.

"Don't listen to him, he has a lot of work to do on his social skills." You intentionally yelped back to the Gryffindor table, patting Draco's back firmly, making the trio giggle silently. Malfoy turned to gaze you once more, pushing you back as well to then which turned into a small little puny fake fight.

"Guys, just eat. Seriously." Pansy ordered, now growing more impatient with the two of you. You sighed, nudging Draco and continuing to eat your breakfast peacefully without any disturbances after, noticing Draco was not over the fight but obeying silently. Odd, it was..

You were in the middle of your first Hogwarts school day as you were getting yourself prepared for Defense Against The Dark Arts, pulling out a black book out of your bag for that particular class. You had multiple encounters already with your Gryffindor friends that day, but were excited that you were finally going to have this class with them. You smiled to yourself, remembering the looks of pure enjoyment and happiness the three of them gave you when they saw you at breakfast that morning, wanting that same emotion to happen once more as you finally arrived in the classroom, pushing around to find a seat near them.

"{ first name }!" You heard a female voice yell, turning to find Hermione, the one who had called you, very adamantly signaling for you to come close. You twinkled happily, choosing a seat right at the border of the two classes where you could talk to them freely without a breeze, knowing it would be hard to from across the room.

"Hi you three!" You chimed, yourself leaning over to where you could talk to them easily.

"Hello { first name }." Harry spoke, his hands occupied with the open book, seeming to occupy himself into reading the text, "What have you had so far?"

"Ah, I had Potions, Herbology, and Quidditch auditions, how about you all?" You pondered.

"Same things as you, probably just mixed around. However I know for a fact me and Ron didn't take Quidditch auditions." Hermione spoke, her knuckles leaning onto the counter in front of her. You couldn't help but grin ear to ear at the sight of the trio, as they were already becoming very dear and close to you, almost like a family you never got to experience. However, another group of people were also as dear as they were to you..

Out of the corner of your eye you notice a known group of teenagers to you walking into the room wearing Slytherin robes, until you noticed it had been Draco, Crab, Goyle, and Pansy all marching into Defense Against The Dark Arts. You watched innocently at the four of them, not until Pansy noticed your obvious gazing, signaling the group to walk up to the same place you were at. Oddly dominant, you watched Draco push and shove the lot of them, making his way to sit right next to you and making sure he done so. You hazily shifted your eyes to lock into his as he watched you up and down for a moment then going back to get his books from his bag. You were just sure that the Gryffindor trio had been very much annoyed he decided to sit there as they turned back around and focused on themselves with a noticeable frown all engraved on their faces. You decided to push the feeling away, drifting your focus to your school book as you placed your palm onto the cover, grazing your pointer finger on the designs of the book.

"Morning class." A male voice announced. Your vision perked up to look at the guy standing in front of you and the class with dirty blonde hair, hazelnut eyes, tan colored skin, and topped all of with a very formal sense of style, seeming very friendly and inviting to you. On the other hand Draco was foully giving the man one of his rude and intimidating looks to say that he did not approve of thus, his optic growing ordering as his eyebrows furrowed at the sight of the guy.

"I am your Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher, Professor Hedwitch. I am here to teach you how to properly defend yourself, not how the Ministry Of Magic detects it to be. You will be learning many things such as dark creatures and species, curses, minor charms, and defensive spells to fight off any evil that comes your way." He publicized, his footsteps echoing through the walls of the classroom as he stepped through the empty areas of the room, eyeing each passing student as he got to the door, closing it formally until looking back to the class, now standing near the back of the area.

"What a pile of rubbish." Draco silently muttered, being heard by the professor as he walked back up to the front of the room, just behind Malfoy.

"What was that? Care to say your name lad?" Professor Hedwitch demanded to which Draco's eyes shot with horror, realizing the teacher had learned of his insulting comment.

"Draco Malfoy." Draco spoke, almost spitting in his face, some classmates shuddering at name strangely, as if it was so unbarring and fearing. He was always feared by everyone around him for some popular reason, but you never got the time to ask him why or how this came to be. It was funny to you really, that the silly boy Draco Malfoy is, shown as a threat to everyone around him.

"Well Mr Malfoy, I can assure you I will have no kind of replies like what I just heard rudely come out of your mouth. And no, this is not a pile of rubbish, this is real. Real things, we should all know about." He growled, a sudden deepening aura hitting the classroom as he spoke to chime back to Draco's insults. When it came to correcting, Professor Hedwitch did it exceptionally well, hell, he kept Malfoy zip shut as he only fiddled with his hands afterwards. The trio on the other side of the border seemed very pleased with Hedwitch's disciplinary actions as they all smirked in harmony to each other, proud he told Malfoy off.

"Let's continue." The professor enunciated, his strangely dark aura still very present to the class and its students as everyone turned to look at each other, some whispering in others ears about the man. You could only stare childlike at the teacher, wondering where this all came from as he prepared to continue his lesson, his eyes darting downwards in a spine chilling glare, very profoundly offended by the Slytherin.

Walking out of that class was almost like a breath of fresh air to yourself. The man who taught really gave you some sort of ick, like he was nice, but too kind to be trusted. In your opinion he really revealed his true side when Malfoy utterly dissed him at the start of class. You felt as if he was hiding his alter ego from the class, like a secret trying its best to stay silent and hidden without a noise. You got up from the class, waving to the trio with a smile and walking out, Malfoy side by side with you.

"What did you think about the class?" You asked Draco, trying your absolute best to have a nice little conversation before parting ways to get ready for dinner.

"What do I think? I think it was a piece of shit is what I think, along with that teacher of ours, the new one, blasty Professor Hedwitch." He fumed out of him as you realized he had been holding in his burning anger and displeasure from the professor, just waiting to be asked so he could boil with things to offend the new teacher.

"Why's that?" You questioned him, your eyes staring up at him guiltless, like it had been no problem to you. Personally you thought his class was nice, but others thought otherwise, especially Draco right next to you at that moment.

"My father has done a lot for the Ministry, and he's just going to say that what they tried to do in the past years is a load of rubbish? I think not! Wait until my father hears of this!" He bellowed, his insides almost screaming out in discomfort. You flinched at his aggravated voice, itself being too loud and unbearable. You tried to chuckle his unpleased self off as you rubbed his back a little, trying your best to ease the anger out of him.

"Hey, I don't think he means it like that. You should rub it off sometime too though, really Draco!" You solaced, your kindness projecting onto him as he took a heavy breath, his anger finally leaving his teenager body as he looked at you honestly, his eyes becoming vulnerable, softening up to your distinct touch. He seemed to become more clean by every second he stared at you as you felt sparks clicking out of you, almost like a firecracker. You could only shyly smile as you kept your hand on his back, not knowing for what to do next, only knowing that you finally had some ability to get the sparky boy to a lower level.

"I... I guess you're.... saying something reasonable.." He mumbled softly as he gradually twirled back to watching in front of him as he walked, you doing the same as your palm left hisself. You felt proud of yourself for comforting the male, realizing the wonders of your emotions feeding itself to him. He was no longer anxious or unsteady at that moment, all he felt was you near him and it weirdly make every other thing in the world pause, like at that moment it was only you and him there. You looked back to him, realizing he had finally done it. It was the first time he had genuinely smiled in front of you.
