You shuddered your eyes open like a small child as you regained vision and focus to what was around yourself. The sunlight beamed in your eyes as it was hard to open them, however you managed, feeling the heat pressing onto your skin like hot water. You began to slowly rise up from your positioned stance against the wall, your head aching a small bit from the bumps your head took in regards to the moving train you were in. You noticed as you were getting yourself back in fixation that Hermione and Harry were chatting, both of them snuggled up onto the wall, the train rocking them back and forth.
"You know, I wouldn't be surprise if we had another sort of attack start again, like the Battle of Hogwarts." Harry replied to a comment you didn't catch, slouching his arms to spread in a relaxed manner,
"I wouldn't be quite shocked either myself.. you have a lot of people on your back Harry, and some of them are not very good people." Hermione commented, playing with her fingers, sprouting them up and down like an eager child.
"Hi everyone.." You whispered, still in a raspy and deep sleepy voice. Both Hermione and Harry shot their heads towards you from the sudden noise, looking at you as you were shifting forwards to seem more awake then asleep.
"Oh, good morning { first name }!" Hermione welcomed. You smiled at her kind greeting, noticing how she was always extremely sweet when it came to conversations.
"Morning." Harry muttered as a welcoming.
"Morning you too." You told them sleepily, rubbing your eyes for them to get used to the throbbing light that shone from the compartment window. You noticed from the small corner of your eye that Ron was still asleep, snoring his lungs out, his mouth wide open with his chip bag an inch away from him, almost like he was hogging every inch of the bag as if he loved it. You snorted as his possessive tendency with food, watching Hermione and Harry once again engage in their conversation.
"But yeah, you know, we could have another Voldemort on our hands." Harry told Hermione. As soon as you heard the creak of his name come from the boys mouth you shivered in fear, your breath pacing as you stared at Harry. Did he know you can't say his name?.. You thought to yourself as Hermione quickly caught onto your disgust upon his name, moving closer to you and patting your back.
"Oh, { first name }, sorry about the trigger. We normally use his name, if that's okay." Hermione comforted as you became more comfortable from her touch, tense releasing from your body.
"No yeah it's fine, I'll warm up to it." You reassured, nodding your head at a fast and anxious pace, her hand forcing itself to let go of your back as you slumped back into the seat, your arms holding onto your legs for dear life, rocking back and forth while keeping your ears wide open for the enticing conversation.
"Let's let this go for now.. I don't think { first name } should listen to this." Harry remarked, as you sighed a breath of relief from the ending of the conversation.
"Yeah.. I agree." Hermione added, twirling a strand of her hair playfully with her finger.
"I'm..I'm going to use the restroom." You blurted, quickly getting up from your seat and out of the compartment. You slowly walked towards the train bathrooms, your feet pounding onto the floor as it was hard to keep your balance from all the movement. While walking you noticed yourself losing balance, immediately experiencing iron deficiency as you closed your eyes, waiting to regain your vision when all of a sudden you felt your body bump into something soft. You opened your eyes, slowly turning your eyes up to see that you had bumped into a boy, and he was staring straight back at you. He had smooth and silky whiteish blonde hair, tied with a pair of silver colored eyes that was piercing your vision. You gulped at his intense stare, a chill drifting down your spine and making the hairs on your neck stand up. Your mouth opened ever so slightly with confusion as the boy just kept his eyes on you fiercely, picking up his original destination.
"Watch where you're going." He grumbled, "You almost knocked me onto the floor."
"I could say the same thing." You spat confidently, giving him the same intense stare he gave before to you. You watched as he took one step back, you taking one step forward, letting your alter ego take over you like a snap of a finger. It was so fast you had no control over stopping it. You yourself had two personalities, one nice and sweet and another defiant and bold, like a sassy version of yourself.
"Apologize.. n-now." He demanded softly, trying to back up more when he suddenly hit a pillar, his back bumping into the piece of the train with ease. You followed, your face millimeters away as you heard his breath frantically pacing, trying to keep composure. All you had focus on was who he was and what the boys motives were. He was conveniently attractive so that was just a plus to you.
"I will.. if you tell me your name." You bargained towards him.
"....Malfoy. Draco, Malfoy." He mumbled, you feeling his voice on your skin as it gave you pure shivers against your face, goosebumps retracting onto your soft skin.
"Fine then, I apologize.. I'm sOrRy." You teased in a small little voice, hearing a huff come from him as it wasn't the apology he wanted to hear specifically. You watched him as his face boiled with anger. You knew already that the male hated this kind of conversations just from the look on his pale face, the inner corners of his grey eyes darting downwards angrily.
"And you? I want your name." He asked from you in a sort of demanding manner, his body language still as a frozen corpse.
"Well, my name's { first name } { last name }, if you really want to know." You answered.
"And this must be your first year here right? I've never seen you here before." Draco pondered towards you, stepping forwards to engage in the conversation.
"You're correct Malfoy."
"What year even are you?" He spat at you, crossing his arms and waiting for your voice to answer.
"Eighth."
"And you never been here before? This is an extra year." He whined at you.
"I came here by will. I needed more education anyways." You softly remarked, your softness finally showing, your ego fading away swiftly. He noticed your sweet demeanor as he looked at you for just a second, stepping even closer to where his lips rested a few inches away from your ear to speak a few more words before leaving you.
"I'll see you, { last name }." You bit your lip, watching as the tall male walked away from your sight. You even forgot you were going to the bathroom as you scarcely walked back to the compartment, longing more from that boy with the white blonde hair. You felt your hands stretch out erectly as you stretched your torso with delight, your head held high as you opened the door of the train compartment, stepping in and closing the door, taking a seat in your original seat.
"You took a while." Hermione shifted to you.
"I was talking to some guy.. charming guy, really. So evil, and so mysterious." You cooed, reminding yourself the wonders that the man made you feel when you talked to him.
"Oh really? Did you catch his name?" Ron teasingly asked, finally awake from his long slumber.
"Yes, Draco Malfoy." Just at the heat of the name Harry spit out the water he was supposed to drink on the floor of the train compartment. You watched gullibly as Harry palmed himself, looking around for something to clean it up with.
"{ first name }.. that is not someone to be intertwining yourself with." Hermione whispered just loud enough for you to hear.
"How so?"
"He's a bloody Malfoy for christ's sake, part of one of the most arrogant and evil pureblooded families." Ron complained, his palms slapping his thighs at the end of his sentence.
"You don't think I can handle that? I'm a pureblood for god's grace!"
"But he's.. different, { first name }, he's... associated with Voldemort." You stopped in your tracks when you heard the name slip out of Harry's mouth as your lips began to tremble, your body closing into the paranoia that grasped the name. Hermione immediately realized your sorrow and slapped Harry on the knee, making him wince as she started moving closer to you for comfort. She placed her hand around your shoulders as you only looked to the floor, your presence flooding with fear.
"It's alright, { first name }. You'll get used to it in no time." She pacified, leaning down to earn your gaze. Your eyes looked to her for a moment, then nodding as you regain your cool from before, sitting up straight once more.
"I suppose you're right. I won't." You assured, your palms resting on your thighs as your chill suddenly stumbled back into place, relaxing into the seat. In that moment the train started to make a noise, startling you to look out the window. There you saw the castle of Hogwarts resting on a small hill in all of it's glory. You examined it's charming and beautiful features, enticing you to the attraction. Hermione, Harry, and Ron did the same to watch the window, then watching the train pull to a train stop, looking at other students as they carried their luggage outside, talking to different wizards and professors. Once the train did stop, your compartment door flew open, students rushing down the hallways to the exit. You smiled, the four of you standing and grabbing your carry ons and heading out the compartment, following the large crowds of students down the train. You four thanked the train director and stepped out into the cool breeze, looking for your luggage.
"This ones mine." You tell Hermione, grabbing the handles of the cart as she already obtained her luggage.
"Alright, what about Harry and Ron?" Hermione pondered
"All good over here. Got everything!" Ron quickly yelled back to Hermione.
"Great. We should be heading off then." The four of you all walked down the path, each with carts in their hand of school supplies and such. The path was surrounded by large trees, making the place look almost like a forest. You could only smile as you admired the beauties of the school premises, arriving to the dark and brooding carriages that were meant to take you. Other students grabbed each of your carts, placing them in a line on the pathway. You watched as each of them magically took off by themselves, pondering in complete awe at the magical technology Hogwarts has. Each of the carriages had some sort of winged horse like creature in the front as you observed, the creatures looking like black skeletons of maybe hippogriffs.
"How pretty they are.." You signaled, already sitting in the carriage as you motioned to the horse like creature in the front navigating the carriage.
"They are. Those are called Thestrals, can only be seen if you have watched someone experience death itself.." Hermione explained, making you only attracted more to the species. You were so enticed by them you didn't notice that the boy with the white blonde hair you talked to earlier was getting into the same carriage the four of you were in. You looked back calmly to see the boy sitting next to you, a small patch of goosebumps running down your arm.
"We meet again, { last name }." Draco snickered lightly.
"Leave her alone Malfoy." Harry ordered, making Draco immediately turn his head towards Harry.
"Or what? You gonna' kill me?" He teased, two boys next to him cheekily giggling in reply to his snarky remark. Hermione visibly rolled her eyes, her arms crossed and her hips bucked to one side of the seat, refusing to face the boy. Ron on the other hand was glaring deeply at Draco, however Draco couldn't manage to keep eye contact with the red haired male.
"Just stop it. Both of you." Hermione murmured, watching the trail and commenting without looking at either of them.
"Shut it you muggleborn." Draco insulted. Your eyes widened at the comment, realizing that Hermione wasn't a pureblood but born into a non-wizarding family.
"Don't talk to her like that!" Ron yelped at Malfoy, now clocking his head to look at the ginger boy.
"You too Weasel. Go back to your poor little cottage with your dumb happy family." Draco told Ron, just making the poor blue eyed male even more angrier then he was before. You didn't really have a clue what to say as you only looked to the side, staring at the Thestral slowly buck forward down the trail, it's dark skull like features glistening in the light of the sky.
"{ first name }, what house do you think you'll be in?" Draco asked you. You were flushed at his sudden question as you turned to look at him, your cheeks a visibly present bright red.
"I'm not sure." You whispered back.
"Oh come on, clearly you're a pureblood. Slytherin's just the fit for you." Draco interrogated.
"She can choose for herself Malfoy. I said, leave the girl alone." Harry hissed at the blonde male.
"Be quiet Potter!" Draco snapped towards Harry.
"What did you just say?" Harry asked roughly.
"I said, be QUIET!"
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah!" Draco assured him.
"Get up then!"
"Get what?"
"Get your ass up then!" Harry growled, punching Draco right in the face. You shuddered, moving away from Malfoy as he soon began to laugh quietly, his head turning slowly back to revisit Harry's deep and terribly angered gaze. He placed his both fingers to his nose, pulling back from it and examining the blood arriving from the punch, then slowly turning his gaze up to look at the boy, his tongue rising to the roof of his mouth in disapproval, his head shaking slowly.
"You bitch!" He screamed, getting up and serving a knuckle punch to Harry's face and then to his stomach viciously, leaving Harry to fall straight onto his seat, blood trickling from his face down to his pants, the red liquid staining his clothes rapidly as he stood there with his legs spread out, his breath deepening heavily.
"STOP!" Hermione screamed, standing right in front of Harry, facing the blood hungry Malfoy in his powered stance. You definitely could admit Draco looked too attractive during all of this you could've only admired his face naively, unfortunately not having a care to Harry's unfortunate wounds.
"I'm stopping Granger, don't you worry your little head." He teased cockily, sitting back down. You were noticeably staring at the boys face and how enticing he really is. His gaze shifted towards your eyes on his, both of you locking eye contact as you felt sparks fill your body. You watched Draco as he then winked at you, your face turning a bright pink as you quickly turned around to watch the trail, secretly handing Draco a hanker-chief to wipe his nose. He chuckled quietly, using the cloth for the purpose and handing it back to you without anyone noticing. You were so flustered you couldn't do anything in defense, not even a holler. He enticed you too much... a bit too much...
