Worldbuilding and stuff
It was August and Morgan had been training in the chamber for quite some time now. She had revised all the first through second year's curriculum (which she hadn't perfected like she was supposed to because of her focus on surviving first and foremost.)
She was also getting a move on to the third-year curriculum which came ridiculously easy to her now.
Let the author in all their fabulous glory interrupt, they may have forgotten to tell you the electives Morgan chose, because pardon them, they forget.
Morgan had thought carefully about this because as lax as she was with her studies at that point, she didn't want to get stuck at a third-rate desk job.
She had ended up choosing Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures, and Magical Theory.
The Arithmancy Professor was Professor Septima Vector, Ancient Runes was Professor Bathsheba Babbling, Care of Magical Creatures was Professor Silvanus Kettleburn and Magical Theory was taught by Professor Aurelia Croaker (Who, Morgan would know if she had looked into her professors more, was a first cousin of Saul Croaker, the Head of the Department of Mysteries).
Morgan had realized not long after she started self-studying that she was a speedy learner.

Morgan was staying with Hermione for the rest of the summer. Hermione was really excited to have company for the summer and her parents were really sweet. Morgan felt envious of Hermione when she first met her parents, but she shook her head and bore it the best she could.
It was harder to slip away to go to the Chamber at Hermione's house, but Morgan managed with some of Dobby's help.
Morgan was done insanely fast with the third-year curriculum of the core subjects. She was halfway through in Arithmancy and quarter-way in Ancient Runes (They go back to Hogwarts tomorrow.
In extracurriculars, Moran had started to learn battle magic up to the fourth-year level (which actually wasn't that hard considering the first and second year was basically nothing), and that was coming along brilliantly.
And she'd found that claiming her title as the Magic's Chosen came with some unexpected benefits. First of all, she could apparate at Hogwarts! how exciting was that?!?! (She knew this but had not learned apparition yet)
Second, she could do wandless magic.
Morgan had, at first, found it really hard to do wandless magic at all, but the moment she turned 13, it was easier. That's not to say she found it easy, but easier comparatively. Morrigan supposed it was something to do with her second magical maturity.
Magical maturity. There were only 5 of those ever witnessed. Your magic flowed easier and you got more powerful every time you achieved one of these.
Your first magical maturity is when you're 11. Hence why most magical schools start at that age.
Your second magical maturity is at 13, hence why your electives come in at that age.
Third magical maturity is at 15. Hence why you're eligible to claim your wizengamot title at that age.
Fourth magical maturity is at 17. Now you're legally an adult. This is also the last magical maturity for most wixen.
Anyone above the age of 15 can achieve the fifth magical maturity. But, you have to work hard and get stronger for decades (usually) before you can achieve this. The only people in living memory who have reached this maturity are Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, and Tom Riddle.
Most people call them warlocks.
Morgan would also have to become a warlock if she had to defeat Voldemort.
And she would.
But the train to Hogwarts was tomorrow and Morgan did not want to miss it because she stayed up late.

Morgan bid goodbye to Dr and Dr Granger as she and Hermione casually slid through the barrier.
They found Ron and sat down in their usual compartment. There was a man already sitting there. He looked familiar to Morgan but she couldn't quite place why.
"Who's that bloke?" Ron whispered.
"Professor R. J. Lupin" Hermione replied promptly.
"I swear she knows everything-"
"It's on his briefcase" Hermione snapped and Ron shut his mouth.
Morgan's eyes widened as she recalled the name she knew from the album Hagrid gave her in her first year. There were also a couple of letters to and from this man in her vault, probably kept there by her parents in case they died so she would have something to remember their friends by (there were also letters from Sirius Black but she couldn't dare to open them yet).
She bent down to slide her trunk under the seat, but bumped her head and looked up to see a carving at the bottom of her seat. It had four names.
Messrs Moony,
Wormtail,
Padfoot,
and Prongs
She stared at the carving. What was with the parent references today?
Or you know, Remus could've chosen this compartment because it was his old one...
Wait- why was her usual compartment the same as her dad's old one?
*sigh*
" 'Mione, d'you have a carving knife? Even a runes one will do"
"Well, yeah," Hermione said, removing a knife from her pocket, "Why?"
"Wait for a sec," said Morgan, taking the knife and crouching below the seat again.
She paused.
"Hermione, darling, sweetheart, love, what's the plural of Ms?"
"Mses; 'M' 'S' 'E' 'S' "
Mses
"What's the usual nickname you all use for me? Like not you two, but people in general"
"Fred and George call you 'Queen', reckon that about fits you, why?" Ron said.
Morgan smiled, flattered, and nodded
Mses Queen
"Carve any nicknames for you here," Morgan said, still smiling.
Hermione took the knife and Ron said "Athena"
"I'm honoured but it just doesn't roll off the tongue," Hermione said thoughtfully, "I think 'Thena'"
Morgan nodded excitedly.
Mses Queen,
Thena
and Mr.
And finally, Ron crouched down and added his part, still confused about why they were doing this.
"Blaze" Hermione said without prompting.
"Like Zabini?" Ron asked, scrunching up his nose.
Hermione swatted his head, "It means fire"
Ron shrugged and carved his name there,
Mses Queen,
Thena
and Mr. Blaze
"...done," Ron said as he got up and handed Hermione her knife.
"Perfect" Morgan said, pleased.
"That's nice but why did we do that?" Hermione asked.
Morgan smiled, "Look at the names carved above ours"
They looked...
...and then looked back at her, confused.
"Prongs, Padfoot, Moony and Wormtail, one of them is my father... Prongs. One is Wormtail, also called Peter Pettigrew, one of my dad's best friends. Let's not talk about Padfoot. The last one is Moony, also called Remus Lupin, or," Morgan inclined her head towards the professor, "R. J. Lupin"
Ron and Hermione took a couple of minutes to digest this.
"So... our new defense professor is one of your father's best friends?" Ron asked, bewildered. Morgan nodded and Hermione hugged her,
"That's great Morgs! You can go to him if you need anything and you can get to know more about your parents!" She squealed.
Morgan shook her head, "I'm gonna wait for him to approach me, I don't know if he wants to be associated with me"
"Oh, Morgan, you-"
"Our names don't have same ring to them as Moon, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs," Ron interrupted, brows creased.
Morgan shrugged, "It doesn't really matter, as long as we have something"
Hermione started to add her input, but before she could say anything else, the train came to a lurching stop.
"Have we- have we broken down?" Morgan asked incredulously.
"I don't think the Hogwarts train does that" Hermione said slowly.
"Is someone coming aboard, then?" Ron asked.
Morgan shook her head, "Why would anybody need to come aboard in the middle of the train ride?"
"Well, then what-"
Before they could further discuss this issue, the door to their compartment shuttered open.
A clammy, bonelike hand was on the compartment door.
