The Summer Begins
Morgan had been to several Hogwarts feasts, but never one quite like this.
Everybody was in their pyjamas, and the celebration lasted all night. Morgan didn't know whether the best bit was Hermione running toward her and Ron, screaming "You solved it! You solved it!" or Justin hurrying over from the Hufflepuff table to wring her hand and apologize endlessly for suspecting her, or Hagrid turning up at half-past three, cuffing Morgan and Ron so hard on the shoulders that they were knocked into their plates of trifle, or her, Ron and Ginny's six hundred points (total) for Gryffindor securing the House Cup for the second year running, or Professor McGonagall standing up to tell them all that the exams had been cancelled as a school treat ("Oh, no!" said Hermione), or Dumbledore announcing that, unfortunately, Professor Lockhart would be unable to return next year, owing to the fact that he needed to go away and get his memory back. Quite a few of the teachers joined in the cheering that greeted this news.
Anyways, before she knew it, they were on Platform 93/4 going back to where they lived again. (Morgan wouldn't and couldn't use the word 'home' for Privet Drive}.
"Ginny — what did you see Percy doing, that he didn't want you to tell anyone?"
"Oh, that," said Ginny, giggling. "Well — Percy's got a girlfriend."
Fred dropped a stack of books on George's head.
"What?"
"It's that Ravenclaw prefect, Penelope Clearwater," said Ginny. "That's who he was writing to all last summer. He's been meeting her all over the school in secret. I walked in on them kissing in an empty classroom one day. He was so upset when she was — you know — attacked. You won't tell him I've told you, will you?" she added anxiously.
"Wouldn't dream of it," said Fred, who was looking like his birthday had come early.
"Definitely not," said George, sniggering. The Hogwarts Express slowed and finally stopped. Morgan pulled out his quill and a bit of parchment and turned to Ron and Hermione.
"This is called a telephone number," she told Ron, scribbling it twice, tearing the parchment in two, and handing it to them. "I told your dad how to use a telephone last summer — he'll know. Call me at the Dursleys', okay? I can't stand another two months with only Dudley to talk to. . . ."
"Your aunt and uncle will be proud, though, won't they?" said Hermione as they got off the train and joined the crowd thronging toward the enchanted barrier. "When they hear what you did this year?"
"Proud?" said Morgan. "Are you crazy? All those times I could've died, and I didn't manage it? They'll be furious. . . ."
And together they walked back through the gateway to the Muggle world.

Once she was at Privet Drive, Morgan dumped her stuff in her room and started plotting about how she was going to survive here this summer.
First off, she opened Hedwig's cage, whispered to Hedwig to stay at Hermione's and scribbled a little note to Hermione explaining that if Hedwig stayed with Morgan, she'd be locked up and unable to fly or anything or carry notes to her friends, so if Hedwig could just return there to bring Morgan parcels but otherwise stay at Hermione's, that would be amazing.
Hedwig nipped her ear in understanding and flew off.
Morgan laughed in appreciation of her owl and then decided to pick a loose floorboard and keep her books, wand, broom, and portkey under there.
Where did she get a portkey, you may ask? Well...
{Flashback}
~Open~ She hissed, standing in the bathroom that led to the Chamber.
When she reached the chamber, having to hiss ~open~ once again to open the main entrance to the chamber.
Morgan thought there ought to be more to the Chamber, and she physically couldn't leave behind the possibility of more knowledge.
She walked through the chamber,
it was still the same as yesterday. But now she noticed snake motifs around the pillars, the torches that burned permanently along the walls and the cold beauty of the chamber. But the main thing she noticed was a gigantic snake that she had killed. Around sixty meters in length, as thick as an oak tree with poisonous green scales and Fangs as long as her forearm she had to admit that it was a majestic creature now that it wasn't trying to kill her. On the floor near the Basilisk mouth was dried blood and ink.
She spelled it clean and walked ahead, to the place from where the Snake had come out.
~Speak to me Salazar Slytherin greatest of the Hogwarts four~ She spoke the words Riddle had spoken to call the Basilisk.
The mouth of the statue opened and Morrigan climbed up in it. There was nothing much except a door to her right a bit further down the corridor. Also, the corridor continued further down. Morgan first decided to go ahead instead of opening the door. The corridor ended in a steep drop after a hundred meters. Down there she could see Snakeskins and bones of animals.
'The Basilisk nest.' She realized. Coming to the conclusion that there was nothing here, She went back towards the door she had seen.
~Open~
It didn't budge
"Alohomora"
Nothing
~Alohomora~
There was a click and the door unlocked.
She walked into a room that looked to be a study. There were another two doors. The first one opened with a parsel Alohomora too, which turned out to be a huge library. Promising herself she'd come back, she went back to the study, which was apparently Salazar Slytherin's and found his bedroom through the other door.
She freaked out for a solid two minutes and when she recovered, she explored the whole chamber. There was a map of the whole school, including the Chamber and this thing called the 'Room of Requirement' that Morgan would check out later.
Apparently, there was an entrance to the Chamber to and from every common room, which Morgan swore to check out later.
She also found a Portkey which transported her from wherever she was to the Chamber.
So cool!
{Flashback over}
Anyways, she went downstairs, taking a breath to calm her jitteriness.
"Uncle Vernon?"
He grunted.
"Uh... yes, I'm actually here to offer you a deal for this summer. You don't lock me in my room or touch my stuff, and I stay out of your sight as much as I can, and you won't even have to feed me or anything"
He looked towards her, thoughtfully {That must've hurt} and finally nodded.
"Listen girl- Marge is coming to stay for a week"
Morgan paused, frozen. "What date?"
"Second August"
"Oh- Oh, good! I'll be outta here the day before that"
Vernon actually looked hopeful- oh the world was ending, wasn't it?
"Remember that and I might just keep this 'deal' of yours"
Morgan nodded and went back to her room.

Dear Hermione,
You and your parents can pick me on the 1st, I've got it fixed with my uncle. Also, I couldn't really get you a gift this year for your birthday so I'll get you something when we go to Diagon this year.
Also tell me, in the witch-burning thing in the homework, what happened to the kids who were burnt at the stakes or the muggles who weren't even actual wixen?
Think on it and write me an answer.
Love
Dear Ron,
So, how's home after another year at Hogwarts?
Open the History of Magic homework. It's about Witch Burnings in the nineteenth century. Apparently, when 'caught' by muggles, wixen performed the flame freezing charm and then actually enjoyed being burnt.
Now, tell me about the kids in that situation. Or the muggles who weren't even actual Wix.
Think on it. I asked Mione the same question.
Anyways, you gotta introduce me to your brothers, Curse-breaker and Dragon Tamer sounds really cool!
Love,
P.S. Don't take anything your mother says to heart.

"Hey, what's Ickle Ronniekeins got a letter" Fred teased. Ron hushed him and re-read the part about Witch Burnings. Well, she wasn't wrong...
"Who's it from, Ron?" Bill asked, he'd just gotten home for the holidays.
"Morgan" He mumbled, still thinking about the burnings.
"Who?"
"Morrigan. Potter."
"You're friends with her?"
"Best friends" Ron emphasised, "But that's not the point here..." He trailed off, staring at the letter again.
"What's she written that's so important?" Bill teased, getting up to read the letter over Ron's shoulder, getting the wrong idea completely.
"Dear Ron, So how's home... Open the History of Magic homework. It's about Witch Burnings in the nineteenth century. Apparently, when 'caught' by muggles, wixen performed the flame freezing charm and then actually enjoyed being burnt.
Now, tell me about the kids in that situation. Or the muggles who weren't even actual Wix" Bill read aloud. He looked horrified after he gave it a moment of thought.
"I never thought of that" He gasped.
Ron snorted, "Nobody ever thinks of the stuff she does, trust me. Imagine, someone gifting you an invisibility cloak, and you use it to go to the library"
Fred and George looked horrified.
"No, but she has a point," Charlie said thoughtfully, having just entered the room.
"What did happen to them?" Ron asked.
"Simple. they burnt," Bill said gravely.
"And, ooh," Charlie said, picking up the forgotten letter "Anyways, you gotta introduce me to your brothers, Curse-breaker and working in a Dragon reserve sounds really cool!" He read aloud. "Told her all about all us did you?"
Ron buried his head in a pillow as Bill laughed, "Well, we are cool"

Hermione opened her letter from Reyna.
She smiled at the part about her birthday gift but then looked thoughtfully horrified when she read the part about witch burnings
"Why didn't I think of that?" She wondered aloud, then cursed and went back to the History of Magic, pouring over it, in vain hopes to find an answer.
