Chapter 1
It was over, he thought.
Sauron was finally defeated, the thought sent a euphoric rush thorough his veins.
Legolas couldn't contain the relief he felt for the war's conclusion during the coronation, or the eagerness that he and Strider were married at long last.
After years in a relationship, Aragorn asked him,
"If we survive this war, when I take the throne, will you rule by my side?"
He had answered without hesitation.
"Yes"
Gandalf placed the crowns on Legolas and Aragorn's heads and announced, "All hail King Elessar and Queen Legolas!"
There was thunderous applause as the two rulers waved to their subjects.
Resting his head on Aragorn's shoulder, Legolas had no idea that their next adventure was just beginning.
Servants dodged a blond blur as it made it's way to the king's study. Aragorn was looking over some documents, when the door to his study burst open.
He looked up, and saw Legolas standing there with a wide grin on his face.
"Estel! Estel, I have news for you!"
That earned an intrigued eyebrow raise.
"And what are these news that have you so excited?" he replied.
The elf rested a hand on his stomach and said two words: "I'm pregnant."
That certainly got Aragorn's attention, as he looked at Legolas. "Truly?"
"Yes, and there's more than one. We're having triplets."
Aragorn fell over in a dead faint, with the last thing he heard being Legolas laughing at him.
A year later, Legolas and Aragorn sat in the nursery. Legolas held the small triplets in his arms as the couple contently watched their sleeping newborns; they had been blessed with two daughters and a son, and all three of them had wisps of their mother's blond hair growing in.
They smiled at each other, before Aragorn noticed a portal silently hovering over them.
Before he could say anything, the small family was sucked into the portal.
