“Is everybody ready to go?“ called Mrs Weasley to her children “Does everybody have their book list? Oh where are the girls?” Upstairs in The girls room, Sapphire is telling Ginny “I’m going to tell her today. People could recognise me and that would be even harder to explain than this” “Do you need help doing it? I could help explain it” Ginny asked, slightly nervous. “Yeah that would be grea- Oh hi Mum!” Sapphire said, quickly changing what she is saying as her mother walks into the room. “Girls we’re going to be late to Diagon Alley and there will be queues for days hurry up!” Mrs Weasley exclaimed. “Um… before we go, I have to tell you something.” Sapphire said, suddenly overcome with nerves. “Yes dear what is it?” Mrs Weasley asked, hunting around the room for something. “When I got my Hogwarts letter, there was a second letter in the same envelope, from Professor Mcgonagall, it said my name before adoption wasn’t McKinnginton, but Potter. I’m Sapphire Potter, the girl who lived.” The girls mother’s eyes widened. “Are you sure?” she asked, sure there was some kind of mistake. “I’m sure” Sapphire said, handing over the letter. Mrs Weasley read the letter five times over. “That’s crazy, why didn’t you tell me sooner? she asked. “I wanted to understand it better myself before I try to explain it to anybody else. The only one who knows is Ginny” said Sapphire, glancing over at Ginny “She was there when I read the letter, she found out with me. We both thought it was a good time to tell you today, in case I get recognised today in Diagon Alley. I’ve been doing some research on her I mean me? You know what I mean. I know how my parents died and I know everything I need to know for now” “Oh my… that is a lot, what do you know?” Mrs Weasley asked, concerned for her daughter, and the life she will have to face due to her identity. “I know that Lord Voldemort killed my parents in an attempt to kill me. He expected to gain power by killing me. I know that it is rumoured that I have a brother. I know that when he tried to kill me, I survived and the curse rebounded. I know that one day he will return.” When Sapphire said this, both Ginny and Mrs Weasley looked extremely surprised. “I-I didn’t know you did so much research!” Ginny cried. That is when Ron called from downstairs “MUM! FRED AND GEORGE ARE USING THE FLOO POWDER!!!” “Oh goodness I’ll be down in a sec!” She turned to Sapphire and asked “When are you going to tell the boys and your father?” “I’ll tell them today too, in Diagon Alley I’ll tell the boys and I’ll tell Dad this evening when he gets home from work.” Sapphire answered. “MUM HURRY THEY’RE GOING TO LEAVE!” Ron shouted. Sapphire knew that they weren’t going to but they were just teasing Ron. She was also wondering what floo powder was. “Ok, coming Ron!! They aren’t going to, they do this to him all the time, yet he believes it every single time!” she added to the girls. “Alright dear, tell them whenever” She went downstairs to Ron and the girls followed right behind. As Sapphire had suspected, they weren’t going to leave and were just teasing Ron. They broke down in laughter as soon as their mother came downstairs. After scolding the twins, Mrs Weasley lined her children up by the fireplace. Sapphire was very confused. “Right, Ginny, you go first” she said, handing Ginny a bucket of some sort of powder. Clearly her confusion showed of her face so Ginny said “Just watch me, it’ll make sense” She watched as Ginny threw down the powder and yelled “DIAGON ALLEY” and flew up the chimney. Sapphires eyes widened as all of this happened. That’s when Ron walked up to her and said “Don’t worry, she’s fine, that’s meant to happen” This hardly calmed Sapphire down. “Do you want me to go first? So you can see it again” he asked. “That would be great” Sapphire said. Ron stepped into the fireplace yelled “DIAGON ALLEY!” the same way Ginny did, and flew up the chimney. Sapphire stepped into the fireplace threw down her powder and yelled “DIAGON ALLEY” while her mother and three older brothers yelled instructions at her “Tuck in your knees!” “No don’t do that, straighten your knees!” “Close your eyes” “Don’t move!” “Don’t get out until you see Ginny and Ron!” Sapphire was so confused. She was flying through chimney after chimney. She caught glimpses of house after house, shop after shop. Until she saw Ginny and Ron. She stumbled out of the fireplace as soon as she saw Ginny and Ron “I - think - I - did - it - wrong” Sapphire laughed in between coughs. Ginny put out her hand for Sapphire to grab “Maybe you did” Ginny laughed, just as Fred, closely followed by George and their mother came shooting down the chimney. “Oh goodness Sapphire you’re covered in soot, come here.” Mrs Weasley said exasperatedly. She magicked all the soot off of Sapphire, who said “I think I might have moved a little bit while in the chimney” “I think you did too, don’t worry, we all did that on our first go,” said Fred reassuringly. “Ok, come on we’re already late we have to go and get all your stuff.”
