Vancey and Percy

Vance shoved his way next to Percy despite the looks everyone gave him, McGonagall stared at him sternly before walking to her seat. Vance ruffled Percy's hair before Percy shoved him away, oh so aware of the burning stares of everyone.

"Vance? How are you- well alive?" Percy was confused, confused and torn between crying and hugging Vance or punching him. Vance rolled his eyes and before he spoke, he glared at a first year who was staring obnoxiously.

"Dunno, was just alive with the others after you left" His reply was brief and nothing like Percy wanted. Vance raised an eyebrow as he looked Percy up and down clearly "Since when were you a stuck up?".

Percy turned bright red, hiding his face. "It was a new thing, to forget" Vance shrugged before the conversation was cut off by a loud voice.

"Mr. Hopper, If you would please come here for a sorting before you get too... indulged in conversation" The face to the voice was Dumbledore, Vance scoffed before standing up and trudging his way to the sorting hat they had pulled out for him, he stared at the hat like it was an inside out dog. Dumbledore hurried him under the hat and the hat hummed.

"Hmmm anger issues...Ambition...Daddy Issues.... SLYTHERIN!" The hat shouted. (I'm sorry I had to say Daddy issues-) Vance looked at Dumbledore unknowing of what houses meant, he glared at the hat for the last muttering as well.

Percy sighed as he heard which house the hat gave Vance, it was inevitable, but he hoped he would at least have Vance with him. Vance made his way back to the Gryffindor table despite being a Slytherin, whether it was because he didn't understand houses, or he wanted to sit with Percy was unknown. A few Gryffindors sneered at him, but he gave a look and they all backed down cowardly.

"Where were we?" Vance asked Percy, Percy went to speak but his brother elbowed him resulting in Percy glaring at Ron.
"What." Percys tone was cold as he was eager to ask Vance more questions, Ron looked at him frustratedly.
"He's a Slytherin!!" Ron whisper shouted; Percy rolled his eyes. He knew Ron hated them due to stereotypes which was just annoying. Percy turned away just for Fred and George to start poking their heads into it.

"Perfect Prefect Percy swearing?!" They announced his previous outburst with delight, the situation making openings for multiple jokes and teasing. The Twins kept teasing and Percy could swear his ears were falling off at the noise, he looked to Vance for help.

"OI, shut up!" Vance's voice held an ordering tone with frustration laced in, it was effective to shut the twins and any Gryffindors up. Vance grumbled before going back to Percy. "Robins trying to get into the school" Percy felt his breakfast rise in his stomach as the words were brought down on him. He was close to hurling.

"Robin?" Percy's voice shook, he didn't look Vance in the eye.

"Robin, he's alive... Most of us are, Griffen didn't make it, he was too messed up" Vance stated. Percy clenched his fists and shuddered. The fact that Robin was... Alive! It was horrifying, absolutely horrifying. The Gryffindors whispering started up again as they absorbed the information they heard.

Percy stood; everything was too... close. He couldn't breathe. Percy didn't remember running to the bathroom, but he did remember the bile coming out of his throat and into the toilet, stomach lurching and head spinning as he emptied his stomach. The thought of Robin being alive was too much for him to handle right now. If most were alive that meant that there was a chance that **he** was alive. Percy's skin crawled as he remembered what it felt like. He didn't spend too much time dwelling on it as he was hurling over the toilet again and emptying anything in his stomach, acid and bile while also the food that had stayed.
