Your Head In The Game

When Quidditch takes over all of your minds, you leave the research for a while. When quidditch tryouts for that year comes up, you George and Fred try out, even though only you make it on the team as a seeker. They both support you, and are really good sports about it. George even lets you borrow his broom, since you don't have your own. They both said they would try out next year. Your first game is a few days before the full moon, so you are a little sluggish but have strength you didn't even know you had. The first game is with Slytherin, and as soon as you see that the slytherin seeker is making a feint to try to throw you off course as Gryffindor is in the lead at 90-70 you spot the real one and dash towards it. The slytherin seeker must see it too, as they shoot towards it. They have a faster broom, but you manage to grab it with extreme reflexes before the slytherin seeker even notices. You have won the first game, and all of the Gryffindor students erupt as loud as they can be, with great pride knowing Slytherin had not even a chance at winning now they have you on the team! At the afterparty, Oliver congratulates you, and says he has a really good team this year with you as the only new addition. He then went on to say you flew like James Potter. A bit of an odd thing to say, but you kept that in mind for your research.

That month's moon was just a few bruises, your left ankle twisted, and your hip hurt routinely. Oliver was sure to ask if you were able to play in the next game against Hufflepuff in less than 2 months, and you assured him you wood. Your birthday had arrived with another one of the twin’s parties, and a lot of dancing and singing. At exactly 7:13 you felt something inside you change, like a potion brewing and bubbling. You didn't know what happened, but it quickly went away as if it had never happened the minute after. The next moon was a struggle, but you managed it. You had training the day after the moon, but considering your state you did really well. You also had George watching the practice and cheering you on from the sidelines. The next match was a struggle, and Gryffindor was at the verge of losing the match, but you pulled through at the last second and caught the snitch! You were on a roll, and the afterparty was filled with cheers, and they even carried you all the way to the tower. You had lost a lot of weight and were still as short as you were last year, so it couldn't have been that hard. Oliver assured you over and over that you were the best he had seen. Narcissa had said you were not to come home for Christmas that year so another one of Castor’s birthdays you missed, but you still had the warmth of the Burrow and Molly's amazing cooking and sweaters. More moons passed before your match with Slytherin, and even more practices. You had seen what Slytherin had done to the other 2 houses, so you understood where Oliver was coming from. The match was brutal, and your team was being pelted with bludgers. You saw the snitch as Slytherin had the upper hand, so as soon as you caught the snitch, you had a bludger right to the stomach after you ate a lot at dinner. You guessed it, you threw up when you landed, and there was almost immediately a worried crowd around you. George, Scarlette, and Violet were the first to get there after the rest of the team. Screams of happiness and worry were heard from all of the stands. When you were given the okay from Madame Pomfrey, the team and the group had escorted you to the tower for the afterparty, yet again.

Emma had left the group entirely, so she had her birthday alone however the twins had the time of their life pranking anyone and everyone with Peeves. The last moons of the year were a breeze, but that still didn't mean that the transformation had not taken its toll on your body with the agonizing pain of it. With the end of the year arrivin, exams were in the works. As if it were a surprise you got top of all of your classes and Scarlette was runner up again. You had attempted to give her back her magazines of the Quibbler, but she had insisted that you keep them. You hadn't done research since the beginning of the year, but it hadn't been itching you as much. You had an amazing year, even if it was only full of quidditch and studying. With the great year that has passed with the support of your friends, must come with the summer that will drain your happiness for next year to make you the happiest you have ever been all over again. George had also mentioned that Ron was going to Hogwarts next year, and was absolutely ecstatic about it. Now you had a son to get to see again…
