Leave this broken place you live in currently. Change the ground. Replace the sky. Rearrange the laws. Redefine the forces controlling the universe. Burn the history you know and build a new, different one?
It has been done before. A million times. The worlds hidden behind books' covers. The worlds on the glowing screens. The worlds built up on a staff. The worlds from under the tips of the pencils.
How many times have you dreamed of living those stories? In your sleep? Gazing at the stars? Looking through the car's window?
Have you ever felt like if your soul left your body, in the middle of some boring chore, and flew somewhere distant? To one of those places. More intriguing ones? Filled with magic? Mystery behind every corner? An adventure awaiting on the other side of the doors? Or maybe something more mundane? An unremarkable career? A lifelong friendship? Perhaps a romance? Something in theory at the reach of your hand, but still, not quite yours? Still a bit too distant from your fingertips.

The cost? Oh no, no, no. Who would worry about that? You disappear. Leave everything else behind. All the baggage you gathered since birth, each failure, each victory. Who cares?

No. You press the button and you start a new life. In a way you could have never done before. A chance you have been never given before. But no turning back. No changing your mind. Wouldn’t you say it's worth it?
But... where is the catch?
A suspicious one you are, aren't you? Good. There is a catch. Of course there is. After all it's still the nasty, sly world you're still in.
Think of all the stories you know. Myths, legends, novels. All the movies, cartoons and shows you have watched ever since you were a kid able to sit in front of the TV. The pictures you know from the museums you have visited. The songs you have heard. All of those create a different, separate universe. Now, I bet you have your favorites in that complex net of the worlds. Some you love. Some you almost forgot existed. Some you despise.
The point is: you can't choose where exactly you land.

Unfortunately. What you can be certain of is that you will find yourself someplace you do actually know. Your mind holds all the keys. But which lock will be opened? No one can tell. Thrilling, isn't it?
