Chapter 10
Harry's emerald eyes looked up at the overcast sky and the cold breeze that ushered in the smell of rain. On the dull walls of the station were pasted black and white posters of dark curly-haired men who were screaming hysterically with crazy eyes. The weather this morning is like a reflection of the gray atmosphere of the magic community since the break-in of Azkaban which followed Cornelius Fudge's radical decision to release the dementors. Gives one more proof that witches are far from logical words; it makes no sense to see the magic community believe anyone in the Ministry is capable of controlling the anathema creature besides the dark lord himself; who are also not fully able to control them, even in a secret way that is almost impossible to imitate.
On this gray morning, Harry wore a typical Edwardian black coat. Like most coats of this type, it falls short around its sleeves, showing a black shirt behind it. The rope ties on his high collar kept the coat from falling. In his pocket (which also holds a suitcase already in magic as small as a dice) familiarly, Akkura rolls comfortably. His wand was tucked away in a wand holster behind the sleeves of his shirt. The wand holster had been manoeuvred so that it could make his wand slide at any time in his grasp.
Completing her fashion, a short sword is sheathed around the waist; a birthday present from Marcus that he took once again from the Flint family Vault. He could empty the Vault if he kept giving him stuff from the family vaul, Harry Sakartis said. Actually, the weapon is more appropriately called a dagger than a short sword, although their size is not much different. After all, Harry doesn't have a license yet, and he believes Hogwarts won't shorten the rules twice like Marcus did. Unlike the eye-catching sword, the dagger is made in mind for self-defense and assasination. So it's much easier to hide. But for wizards, the dagger is more than just a weapon, it is also used in many magic rituals. Therefore, he only needs to consider it as part of a ritual object in case any professor asks.
Therefore, he just considers it part of a ritual object if any professor asks
Looking at Marcus, the young man looked like a knight who came out of the painting in the British Museum. He wears a coat typical of the Williamsburg collection that has a liberal touch. The coat was locked on his shoulders with a pin and fell to the ankles, hiding the long sword around his waist. Even wizards don't wear this extreme except in official occasions. But, Marcus knows, now they are representatives of the upper class of the magic community. Especially with Harry's status being the closest to the royal family. (Several times he felt the glare of the reporters' blizt lights).
Perhaps it looks considered strange if they walk in the middle of Muggles. But the witch with her classic fashion sense, made the medieval style of dressing a natural thing. But there are still many eyes that follow their pace, especially from Muggle-born families. Some of them tried to imitate pureblood families who seemed to greet by low-ducking, paying the classic tribute that deservedly be given to people with high status like them. All the protocols Marcus called, "Nonsense!" and "Wasting time!" But if they really want to change the high-level politics of the magic community, the first thing to do is to blend in, no matter how ridiculous their rules of the norms are.
A father of one of the muggle-born students stared like a hypnotized at Marcus' sword and whispered to his son who seemed to be a late-year student, "Are they nobles?"
"I also just found out there are so-called nobles in the wizarding world," he retorted in a whisper. "At first I just thought that there was only a group that considered themselves noble because of their pure blood. Wizards descended from wizards, you know?" the last sentence was added when he saw his father's expression. "But Potter is not pureblood, he is half-blood... I heard his mother was a muggle-born. So he can't possibly be part of that extremist group."
"Ah, Potter is indeed not one of the pureblood extremists. But he's still considered pureblood," said another schoolgirl.
"How—"
"Since he's a Heir, you know? One day he will become Lord Potter. In the magic community system, he is considered pureblood, unless his mother is a Muggle. But because his mother is also a witch, he is called a first-generation pureblood," from his pretentious way of speaking it seems that he is a Ravenclaw. He reminded Harry of Hermione.
"I don't care," another student who looked envious. Judging from the many colors of orange in his clothes, he must be a Gryffindor boy. "They're Slytherin."
"Well, literally, Potter is indeed Slytherin and Griffindor. He's the last and only descendant of Peverell, you know, right? With the news on Dailly Prophet and so on..."
"I didn't read Sketter's article. All that's nonsense."
"You should also know if you're reading a history book, moron."
"You told me to read professor Binns' book?" he said saccharistically. "He just explained the Goblin war!"
"Therefore you should have read it yourself!"
Marcus snorted at the ridiculous showdown as he moved his way out of the group of early-year children walking at a cautious pace so as not to be far apart from their parents on this full platform. Marcus's massive body easily urged to make his way out of the densely packed apparated entryway (There's a good thing it's also carrying a sword, mainly for intimidating). This is apparently the reason why most first-year kids enter past platform 9 3/4. No one wants to give the first experience of going to school with traffic jams and jostling in the crowds. It's a reward because they come over time. If only he hadn't turned down Marcus' offer for fire travel, he wouldn't have attracted attention after their action in Diagon Alley entered the Daily Prophet's news.
The loud laughter and exclamation of "Loony (crazy)" from a group of teenage girls made him turn his head, just as Luna Lovegood was pushed down by a bunch of girls who were yelling at him. Harry didn't see mr. Lovegood around him; of course, if the man had accompanied him, he would not have allowed his daughter to be publicly dismissed. Several parents frowned, but no one tried to help. Even their children forbidding knowing Luna was a pariah.
Harry pushed away the crowd, "Hey!" he exclaimed, casting an angry look. Seeing Harry approaching, with Marcus not far behind him, the girls threw each other's gazes full of selidik, before striding away.
Harry helped Luna up, and patted her dirty dress, "You're okay?"
"Yes, Harry. Trims," she replied with her pale silver eyes staring behind Harry's head. "Oh! Congratulations, my lord..."
"What? lord?"
"In... Thestral."
Harry waddled, before laughing until his tears came out. "Just you, Luna! Who knows it without me has to swing my wand!" he said, shaking his head. The girl walked not far from him following Marcus towards the train car. The already overcrowded train made them go straight to the rearmost carriage. Before Marcus opened one of the rooms, Harry held him back while shaking his head. "Let's find another room," Harry's eyes stared a second or two seconds longer at the closed door that made his mind hear a wolf roar. They followed Luna who didn't stop her footsteps, as if knowing it wasn't a room for them.
They finally found an empty room. Harry sat back tightly to Marcus who looked wary even though there were no enemies in sight. Probably the result of seeing Harry pull out his wand; his characteristic when he felt anxious. Although curious, Marcus didn't ask why, but that didn't stop him from being vigilant.
Luna looked unconcerned with anything, as usual. He sat in front of them, wearing his unique glasses while reading Quibbler in an upside-down manner. Recalling his remarks just now about Thestral, Harry rubbed his wand gently, remembering the cold sensation when his magic moved to create the corporeal patronus the first time...
.
.
.
"Expecto Patronum," the soft whisper sank among the howling wind, while the white light at the end of his wand began to form a solid form. The winged horse with a skeleton body and a reptile-like face jumped into the air, leaving a trace of light in its footsteps, before hitting the ground and running around Harry, as if looking for danger. Aware of the absence of enemies, the winged horse pryed lightly at him and rubbed his muzzle against Harry's curly hair.
"Thestral," Gideon whispered, amazed and stunned, while the Wolf patronus at his feet looked up with a lazy gesture, yawned and closed his eyes back; as if to assume it wasn't important enough for his attention
"Thestral," Gideon whispered, amazed and stunned, while the Wolf patronus at his feet looked up with a lazy gesture, yawned and closed his eyes back; as if he thought it wasn't important enough for his attention.
Marcus sits on the roots of one of the millions of giant trees in this private forest. the crow's patronus perched on his shoulder. He smiled crookedly as Thestral began to nibble on Harry's hair.
For those who believe the myth that black wizards cannot create patronuses, let alone solid ones, they certainly don't believe in these two Flint men, who easily produced the most elite kind of magic of their people. the patronus is actually not an unfamiliar thing among black wizards. It's just that, for those who sink themselves deep into this part of the art of magic, thinking that having a patronus is useless because it often has a negative effect on their magic art.
Morals do not affect the creation of the patronus other than what it looks like. This is because the creation of the patronus is contendered in a way of transcending fear. There are many ways to do this, although popular opinion transcends that fear by thinking about the happiest memories. Thus, it is not impossible, if there is a white witch who cannot create a patronus because she is unable to find that happiness, but a black witch can because understanding the patronus is not just about the happiest memory; future ambitions and expectations, or even ideas, are capable of creating them, as long as they are strong enough to overcome fear.
As a kind of high-level magic, only a small part is capable of creating it. Some are simply capable of creating an incorporeal /unsolid patronus, which resembles a mass or plume of vapor or silvery smoke. This type of incorporeal is not a real patronus and has limited protection because it is not able to protect you like an extension of your soul like a corporeal patronus. As one of the oldest types of magic, the patronus is associated with many major fights involving the nobility (the suffices capable of creating this type of magic are often those who are the top brass in the government). Patronuses can also be used as messenger messengers, although this is not a common thing to know because the records about him are in advanced magic defense books, which are usually only studied by those seeking a Master's degree of defense against the dark arts.
No system could be used to predict the shape of the patronus, but the great 18th-century researcher, professor Catullus Spangle, put forward certain widely accepted principles;
'the patronus represents what is hidden,' he wrote. 'Unknown but necessary in a personality. Because it is proven,' he wrote in his great work 'Defense and Deterrence Spells,'... that a human being faced with inhumane evils, such as dementors, must harness resources he may never need, and the patronus is a secret self that is awakened and abandoned until needed.'in the book, professor Catullus Spangle believes that the patronus is an indicator of the obsession or hidden intransigence of each witch's person. It is the result of a personality that may be hidden when relating to others. Thus, professor Catullus Spangle urges us to always be respectful in any form of patronus because it is a secret form of an individual witch.
The shape of the patronus can change as long as the witch experiences a major event in her life. Such as mourning, falling in love or deep changes in his character. Perhaps this is also why Harry's patronus no longer forms a stag as he has already seen in many of his other self in different alternate destinies. Rather, one of the rare patronuses who is a magical animal like Thestral. Of course this reflects Harry's unusual personality.
"Thestral," Gideon repeated as if only able to digest it, "a patronus representing those who had seen death. Those who are not afraid of him, and see death as part of the process of life. Those who appreciate the difference between evil and death. Therefore, it is also very philosophical and even melancholic. Witches who are considered very powerful because only those with strong characters can have a dark perspective on life, but are still able to produce a patronus, whose notaben needs you to overcome fear and focus on what gives you strength."
"Don't forget, too, to be considered strange by his fellow wizards and loners," Marcus said adding his characteristics with a lopsided smile. Harry rolled his eyeballs.
"Apart from those who have seen death no one will be able to see the form of your patronus, Harry," Gideon observed intently, as if trying to unravel the secret of the figure of the teenager who was cross-legged with the silvery Thestral sitting next to him.
"Oh..." Harry blinked as he rubbed the solid mane of his patronus who looked unwilling to leave immediately.
"But I'm sure it won't make you a big head... after all, the shape and size of the patronus did not signify how strong the witch was. You still need to learn a lot to simply burn the shoes of the Dark Lord."
Harry sting. knew very well that the most famous patronus was a lowly mouse, which belonged to the legendary young wizard Illyius, who used it to resist the attack of the dementor army in one bluff.
.
.
.
"Is that monster far from Scabbers, Hermione!"
"Oh, really, Ron! I can't believe you assume this sweet Crookshanks of mine wants to eat it!"
"Sweet?!"
The familiar voice at the door of their room made Harry break out of his reverie. Before long, the wild curly-haired girl stood in the doorway with the tall orange-haired young man, both of whom smiled from ear to ear. "Happy birthday, Harry!" exclaimed Hermione as she took turns hugging him.
Harry rolled an eyeball, retorting in a humorous tone, "As if you haven't said it many times in your letters." He returned their hug before the two Gryffindors sat crammed together with Luna (no one dared to sit beside Marcus).
"Well, it doesn't feel real if it hasn't been spoken directly."
"It seems you have a new pet, lady."
Hermione smiled broadly as she showed off her half-blooded cat Kneazle. Unlike the pure-blooded Kneazle, which is mostly dark gray or black, Hermione's cat looks more like a lion; not only on the tail, but also his face that seemed to be surrounded by dense hair. His unusual color reminded him of Ron's hair, making him curious what the girl chose him for the same reason? But what's more interesting is the cat's face. Well, it seemed that Harry could feel the sentiment on Ron if he saw the cat's grumbling face, which seemed to have just been cornered and hit the wall hard then in the cracks. He was curious about which part of it was sweet?
"Ah, considering that we are now showing off pets—"
"Familiar, Harry!" exclaimed Hermione.
"—I also want to introduce Lady Akkura," Harry took out his snake from the pocket of his robe. The white snake hissed in annoyance, "Which seems to be upset that I took him out of his warm bed," he returned his familiarity to its original place.
He held back a laugh when he saw Ron's expression that was scared when he saw the snake. No wonder the witch's stigma against snakes is considered a black witch beast. On the other hand Hermione looked interested, even a little disappointed as if Harry couldn't choose a more Slytherin beast than this, "Snake Harry? Typical!"
"Hey! This is no ordinary snake. This is Akkura."
"That's the name."
"Actually it's also kind of. He's the only one in the world, you know?"
"So he's a magic snake?"
"U-huh. Aboriginal mythological creatures, I checked them out."
"How's your summer break, Harry?" asked Ron trying to take their conversation off the snake. Even if he can now be neutral to most slytherins, but he is still afraid of the myths of the white wizard. "Um... you know it's with Black escaping from prison—" Hermione poked Ron with her elbow. Harry rolled his eyes, knowing that Ron's mouth could not be controlled if he was already curious.
Harry sighed.
"You don't have to worry Harry, I'm sure you're safe at Hogwarts," Ron said.
Marcus snorted, with a lazy tone said, "If Black is smart enough to escape Azkaban, then he is also smart enough to enter Hogwarts."
"Um..." Hermione frowned. "Well, but now we know, so we can make Hogwarts much safer. After all, no one is sure if Black's reason is Harry..." Hermione said with a confident expression, trying to stay positive.
"Uh, Hermione, but let alone the reason unless it wants to solve what its master can't solve."
"Ron—"
"Oh, well... you take it easy Harry. Dumbledore can definitely protect us all," Ron said with a smile. Hermione looked at each other with Harry with skeptical expectations. After what happened in their freshman year at Hogwarts, the girl no longer really believed in those with power. Principal though.
"Hm... I'm sure Black has other business, my lord," Luna's soft, snoring voice caught their attention.
"Um," Ron inched uncomfortably.
"Hm..." Harry smiled. Hermione looked suspiciously at the two of them.
"So how's your summer?" repeated Ron.
A glimpse of his memory led him to the sharp iron scent of blood and fire heat along with the screaming voices of the little ones. The last high elf's cold touch and the whisper of his promise about the future that Harry didn't understand. He was unsuccessful in controlling the vibrations in his voice when he replied, "Productive." Hermione gave him a look of sympathy because she thought he was afraid of Black's attack.
Unaware of all that, Ron said cheerfully, "Well, if you say productive, you don't know what happened to my yard after all the family members got together—" then he began to tell a long story about the fight against gromes in order to turn the yard into an impromptu quidditch field.
The train had already reached halfway through the journey when it started to rain. Only heard quiet talks and card games to pass the time. Harry pressed his cheek against the cold glass, drowsy while staring with his eyes half-closed on the raindrops hitting the window.
Harry stood in a dimly lit room with a greenish beam that made his ceiling sink into darkness. The cold touched his skin even though the room was too silent and deserted for the wind to blow. A thick ankle-high fog filled it and apparently, the stones rising from within the fog were tombstones with foreign names engraved there. In that still air, the sound of bones clashing sounded and a thin figure shrouded in a black robe covering his face perfectly stood not far from him.
In that still air, the sound of bones clashing sounded and a thin figure shrouded in a black robe covering his face perfectly stood not far from him
"You're not supposed to be here—" a sharp voice sounded far away from all quarters.
Harry stepped back.
"—still not, at least..."
"Who are you?" whispered Harry.
"Oh... I have a lot of names... too many people say..." the creature replied with a hiss, which made Harry jump and want to escape from there as quickly as possible,"But you'll learn to know me. Everyone knows me in the end." The creature walked over, "How strange it is to find you here... Have you found it?"
"Found what?"
"The Holl—"
The crackling and violent shaking of the train that stopped suddenly jerked Harry out of his dream. The temperature drops drastically, as in winter. Strange, it should be no matter how cold autumn is, it shouldn't be like this. Luna put her magazine back in the bag and took off her glasses. The look on his face was a reflection of all of them.
Cold smoke wafted from their mouths. Ice flowers formed on his glasses. Harry once felt this feeling. He stepped forward with a stick pointed out. The door shook and shifted lightly, his frosted glass showing a black figure. The black long fingers slid him open, standing at the entrance of a figure in a gray robe illuminated only by the tip of Harry's wand.
There was a loud screaming sound of several rooms from there. "Expecto Patronum," instantly Thestral jumped from his wand and pushed hard the monster away from them. Harry ran into the corridor, followed by others. A swarm of dementors in their worn-out robes hovered over his Thestral. Harry turned his head hard at the sound of the screams in which a figure of a dementor kissed a daughter.
"Expecto Patronum," a flying silver crow darted from the tip of Marcus's wand. "We're scattered. Hermione, Ron, you come with Harry. Luna is with me." They nodded and ran towards a different direction of the passage.
"Mione, Ron, you guys still have chocolate, right? Give it to the others."
Hermione nodded, pulling Ron towards the children who were trembling with fright. Meanwhile Harry ran to his instincts. A finger sounded from one of the rooms in the carriage, three girls were there. One of them was in the dementor's arms, lips only an inch away from him. His Thestral was on the other side busy dispelling dozens of dementors trying to get close to his friends. "Please!" came Malfoy's voice. The teenager crawled back from the moving dementors swarming around them. Like the others, his body could not move because of the real terror that the dementors gave him.
Harry gripped his wand tightly, instinctively also pulling out his dagger. He cast various curses, "Confrigo! Expluso! Reducto! Reducto! But none of them had any effect. The girl's body was already limp in the dementor's embrace. "AKH!" Harry ran over and jumped his dagger right in the dementor's face with a kalap. The daughter fell to the floor, while the dementror screamed hysterically with a knife stuck in her face. Harry shouted as he pushed his knife deeper and deeper. Black blood spurted in all directions as the knife was torn out; flushed Harry and splashed on the floor and windows. The students in the room screamed hysterically, staring in horror at Harry who was standing wet with black blood on his body and a bunch of tattered rags on the floor, "YOU KILLED HIM! YOU KILLED HIM!"
"Harry!" Marcus broke down the door, glanced at the corner of the room and brandished his wand, "Petrificus Totalus, Obliviate!"
"Marcus. What are you doing.."
"Removing witnesses," then he pointed his wand at what was left of the dementor, "Confrigo," he whispered, erasing any traces left of the dementors and leaving only a burning smell. He stepped to Harry's side, "You're okay?" he whispered, cupped his cheek.
Harry resuscitated his head on that hand while closing his eyes.
"We don't have much time, darling," he swiftly lifted Harry in a sling, ignoring the blood that littered his expensive clothes. "Snape," he whispered as he carried him in the warm vortex of Fire Travel.
Their bodies fell directly in front of the man. The Potion master jumped in shock, for a few seconds he could only blink, before finally jumping instantly from his chair and ran to Harry's side, "What happened? What's wrong with his eyes."
"Eyes?"
"Dementor," Marcus replied.
"Why with my eyes?" whispered Harry with a trembling voice.
Marcus won his face. "Can you still see?" Harry nodded, but not the power to speak. "Do you know why your eyes turn black? That color swallows its entire petals."
"Black..." he swallowed hard several times before he could answer, "I drove out the dementors, Marcus."
"You killed him
"You killed him."
"Impossible," Snape whispered. "Dementors are not creatures that can be killed."
"Harry did. Stabbed the monster right in the face, making him stay a bunch of tattered cloth."
Harry hugged himself swinging. "What happened to me, Marcus..."
"Do you know anything related to eyes turning black like hers, professor?"
The man swallowed. "Mr. Potter, Harry. Have you ever played with Necromancy?" Harry shook his head, "Blood magic?" Harry shook his head again. The two of them looked at her with a strange look, "Of course not," the man whispered more to himself.
"Does it have anything to do with black magic?"
"But I just stabbed the dementor with my knife, I didn't use magic at all," Harry thrust a dagger full of black blood that was still in his grasp.
"And you managed to kill him. It was almost impossible to use magic, let alone just with a dagger," to Marcus he replied, "Not black magic specifically. But, the symptoms left behind are similar to those who practice Necromency."
Macrus took a choked breath, "Harry's patronus is Thestral. Is there any connection?"
"Maybe, but it should be that the patronus is white magic. I thought there was another reason, and it's possible that Harry's patronus figure was a sign of that problem."
"Okay. But, now how to get rid of this. It can't go out with such eyes."
The man refocused on Harry, "mr. Potter, let's take control of your magic again. Now you are still pouring your energy on the black magic. Try to make the magic neutral again, pull it in the dormant position. Take a breath, exhale, concentrate. Good." Harry could feel his magic gradually stop churning. When he finally opened his eyes, his retina returned to its original color.
The man got up towards another room in the office. Soon he returned followed by a floating tray containing two glasses of chocolate milk. "Drinking this, chocolate has a content that can eliminate the effects of dementors," then he gave two bottles of Calming Draught.
"I suggest you look up the literature on necromancy, mr. Potter. Such a change of eyes is not commonplace, even for wizards. I'm afraid that if we don't find the reason, it will have a great effect on your magic."
Harry nodded.
"You can clean up here and wait until the others arrive. We don't want Dumbledore to know you can apparated through hogwarts' protectors." Marcus grinned as he hissed dangerously at the wrong name.
Harry rolled his eyes, "Fire travel, professor. Fire travel."
"Well, I don't care," he said as he left them.
"Super dramatic."
"20 points less for Slytherin!" the man exclaimed from behind the door.
Harry threw his hand in the air no less dramatically, "Awesome!"
"You're setting a new record. Point Slytherin minus," Marcus commented flatly. Harry couldn't roll his eyeballs any harder without making him roll down.
As Harry reunited with Ron and Hermione in the great hall, they hugged him tightly. "What's going on, Harry?" the girl whispered. "You suddenly disappeared."
"I'll explain later," he replied in his ear.
Hermione nodded and pulled Ron towards the Gryffindor table.
New students walked into the hall waiting to be sorted out. While Harry and Marcus went to the Slytherin table while occasionally seeing the students pointing at them. Some even blatantly turned their heads, shifted their bodies or even stood on tiptoe to be able to see him. Obviously his heroic actions and his ability to perform high-level magic are already the talk. Many were curious as to why he and Marcus left the train suddenly, even before his patronus disappeared. Fortunately no one saw the strangeness of Harry's eyes because the other students were too busy paying attention more than themselves. The Ravenclaw house members he remembered had been helped come to the Slytherin table to say thank you, but none of them remembered him killing the dementors. One of the girls even ventured to blush and kiss him on the cheek (if he heard the sound of a broken glass and a broken spoon from Marcus's direction, Harry pretended not to know).
"So," Malfoy started with his arrogant tone as usual, "You can patronus?"
"Hm..."
"No wonder," he said like a boss. Harry rolled his eyeballs. "So?"
"What?" he said, thrusting a sharp gaze.
"What shape is it?" he asked full of selidik, not caring about Harry's discomfort.
Harry muttered.
Several children inched closer in order to hear better. "What?"
"Thestral."
Draco pursed his mouth. Others looked incredulous, but were also interested in the story. "Oh, Well... "
Harry raised an eyebrow.
Draco grieved his shoulders, "I thought it was a snake."
Harry rolled his eyeballs, "If it's a snake I already have," he took Akkura out of his pocket, driving his friends away. "You Slytherin, for merlin's beard," he grumbled.
"So, since when can you do it? that patronus."
"Hm... I've continued to train all this summer. Dementors you know? With my good fortune, I need all the weapons."
"yes... I heard that there will be Aurors patrolling Hogwarts. I hope it's enough to keep us all from, you know?"
"Black makhsudmu?" seeing him gory, Harry added, "indeed since when was his name made taboo," he grumbled
"You're not afraid?"
Harry shook off his hand, but did not respond because at that time the selection hat finished sorting the new students and Dumbledore cleared his throat to make the hall quiet again, and then he began his speech, "As we all know, after the inspection on the Hogwarts Express, our school will welcome the guest dementors from Azkaban, who are here for the affairs of the Ministry of Magic," he took a pause. Harry bet the man must be unhappy with the dementor being the school guard. "They will be placed at every entrance," he continued. "and, which of those who are with us, I expressly forbid everyone from leaving school without permission. Dementors can't be fooled by tricks or disguises—or even cloaks disappear," he added blatantly, making Harry and Marcus look at each other. "It is not innate dementors to understand pleadings or excuses. I warn all of us not to give the dementor a reason to hurt you. I rely on the new Prefects and prefect heads, to make sure no student is playing tricks on dementors," he said.
After that he began introducing the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor; Remus Lupin and the new professor of occult animal maintenance; Rubeus Hagrid. Harry clapped his hands loudly like the others, but he could still hear Draco hissing and exclaiming, "No wonder! Who else ordered the book of monsters that can bite!"
That night, there was something unusual in the Slytherin dormitory. Normally, the new students would be gathered to hear the speeches of the Prefect and the Head of the Dormitory. But, that night wasn't all that. On the sofa that stood around the fireplace, several members of the Slytherin house sat there with Marcus and Harry. They sat a few meters apart from the group of new students, as if a master was observing.
Harry, who was sitting on Marcus's lap, was busy chatting with Akkura, unaware of his actions making everyone uncomfortable; the hiss that came out of his mouth reminded them of Voldemort, even professor Snape had to straighten his robe many times, a sign of nervousness. Slytherin though, they weren't immune to the Dark Lord's craze for Horcruxes.
Antonio Dolohov, the son of one of antonin Dolohov's most loyal death eaters, hissed dangerously at him, as if it was an insult to the dark lord to see the most sacred language coming out of Harry's mouth
Antonio Dolohov, the son of one of Antonin Dolohov's most loyal death eaters, hissed dangerously at him, as if it was an insult to the dark lord to see the most sacred language coming out of Harry's mouth. Even with Harry's political and magic position leaning more towards the dark, it didn't less lessen his objections to seeing the Merlin descendant sitting with them.
Harry looked up with a lazy face. "What?"
"How dare you sit among the Walpurgins Knight," he hissed.
"Oh... please help me, why do you forbid me to sit with the Walpurgins Knight where my ancestor was the one who founded your organization."
The child looked at him with an incredulous look, "Ancestor? You are willing to consider your ancestral dark lord?"
Harry shook off a hand, "I mean Slytherin. Tom is just a name. Tom is not an ancestor anyway, hm... he's a distant cousin at least."
"Tom?!" the others seemed to be interested in this talk. their voices weren't loud enough to be listened to by the hordes of freshmen who were listening to Snape.
"yes, Tom Marvolo Riddle. Dark Lord's real name. You think from birth his name is Voldemort."
"Riddle?! I never heard of and the name of the wizard named Riddle."
"It's not. Guess me, Voldie's father is Muggle."
"Where is it possible! The dark lord is pureblood!"
"yes, yes. As pure as I am. Amazing, isn't it? The most feared figure in the wizarding world is of Muggle descent and orphans like me also have much more precious ancestral blood. It must be that your self-esteem is tarnished, fate is cruel," he teased. Dolohov's face had already turned red and purplish before he finished speaking. The teenager brandished his wand, but before he managed to do anything, Marcus opened his mouth.
"Dolohov," his voice was heavy with warnings. "Do I have to remind you you are dealing with the only heir to the five names of the wizard nobles, and me."
He lowered his wand, "I'm sorry, my lord."
"I'm calling you guys together not to argue with each other over Harry's identity whereas all the evidence you can see with your own eyes." Dolohov still had the self-esteem to blush and edge submasively.
"So, what's the reason, my lord?" one of the girls in their group asked, looking anxiously, "Shouldn't the Walpurgins Knight be a secret group?"
"Not anymore, Martha. We have the Slytherin heir back, there is no point in maintaining the secrecy of the Walpurgins Knight while we get our king back."
"But there can't be two kings..."
"Ah..."
"You can call me queen," Harry said with a smile.
"Hm..." Marcus put his arms around Harry's waist and pulled him docked, allowing Harry to feel the sticky muscles moving under the shirt. "That's an interesting offer, dear. But considering that you are my king, of course it can't be allowed."
"So you're going down the throne?" quipped another.
"It's inevitable if I leave Slytherin dormitory."
They grinned and one of them retorted in a humorous tone, "So now you decide to pass?"
Marcus smiled crookedly, "When it's time later, I hope you can accept your new king."
Akkura hissed excitedly. Seeing Harry's expression holding back laughter, they cast curious glances. "Oh. It's nothing. Akkura is just being cute. He said he would bite and poison those who refused me to ascend the throne. Isn't she cute? Like I can't just protect myself," Harry rubbed his cheeks against his familiar, unaware of having made them all sickly pale. Even Marcus swallowed hard, not because of fear of Akkura, but more because he realized that his fiancée could be very dangerous.
"So, you will announce the whereabouts of the Walpurgins Knight tonight."
"yes, those ducklings need to know who is leading them."
That night they returned to Marcus's private room, not Slytherin's room. Harry decided kondo was too scary to sleep, no wonder to find residue of dark magic there. Although Harry has no problem with black magic, but still he doesn't want to sleep in a place that makes him always vigilant. After all, returning to this room returned a feeling of nostalgia and made him sure that he had finally really arrived at Hogwarts; home to millions of wizard children in each generation.
The room also has new facilities specifically for Akkura in the corner of the room. A large bewitched boulder is always warm with a miniature tree trunk that he can use to hang. Harry let the familiar wander around at will, knowing the magic animal made many children bearded and screamed. With such familiarity, no one doubted anymore if he was indeed a Slytherin.
Sleeping in the same bed, with a much smaller size compared to in Manor Flint, made Harry realize that his body had already turned into a juvenile body. Crowded into the place did not spare him from a total awareness of Marcus's attractiveness. In the end Marcus had to bewitch the bed bigger because it was too uncomfortable if Harry had to sleep on it all night as usual. Damn, Marcus seemed to know what Harry was thinking, and the young man just kept teasing him with his trademark slanted smile. He stopped after Harry kicked him out of the bed and Akkura threatened to bite them if he didn't stop making noise and disturb his sleep. But, the experience of waking up in the morning with a masculine figure that made his blood ripple was not something he easily exchanged. Even if sleeping in a row is now something complex, Harry must have missed his embrace when the young man walked out of Slytherin house.
The semester in the third year also has its own challenges. Third-year children are given the flexibility to take additional studies or advanced studies according to the description of the profession they want in the future. In addition to the twice as heavy material, many new classes made him curious. Of course Ron invited him to take Divination because the class was easy to get an A. But he was not interested in taking it, something Hermione questioned.
"Why don't you take a Divination class?"
"Hm..." Harry shook his head, "Do you know the difference between divination and prediction, Hermione?"
Hermione frowned, "I'm not sure what you mean..."
"Well, divination is the ability to see the future, right? It's called Divination. But the Divination class teaches us to read the future through tea dregs, tarot cards or astrology movements, right? It's all the science of prediction. Why? Anyone can do it as long as you have books that give you pointers—"
Hermione nodded.
"—The difference between learning the science of divination with a fortune teller is. The fortune teller is born with that ability, no one can do it unless he is born with that ability. The Divination class is not a wrong practice, because every creature that has magic has the ability to come into contact with lady fate. If you're lucky, maybe you can predict your future," Harry snubbed.
For this reason, replacing the Divination class like the other Harry-Harry, he dropped his choice on the Astronomy class. Maybe you're wondering, what is the significance of the Astronomy class in the magic school. Why not all astrology related to magic? Well, Astrology is already part of the Divination class. But that doesn't mean Astronomy isn't important.
Of course, the knowledge of the wizarding nation is much broader than that of Muggles regarding astrology. So it's no wonder that wizards study far more stars and planets in the solar system and name existing ones with different names, such as; constellation of stars Batholomeus or satellites such as Callisto, Ganymede and Lo. Astronomy is taught at Hogwarts in addition to providing knowledge to wizards in order to distinguish when certain stars appear that have an effect on making potions, it is also used as a basic science before studying Alchemy.
Alchemy which is an ancient science that focuses on trying to turn metals into gold, and the science that produces the elixir of eternal life The elixir of life is a science that requires a high level of knowledge of the Cosmos; the universe system. Logically, if you want to take the Alchemy class in the sixth year, then you must first pass the Astronomy class.
The class was held on Wednesday, starting just at midnight in the highest tower at Hogwarts. To get to the top of the Astronomy tower, you need to go through a corridor that will take you on the spiral staircase. The Astronomy class is equipped with tools to see celestial bodies such as Lunascope which are similar to telescopes, only showing phases on the moon. And of course each student must have a star chart and a globe of moon.
In addition, he also took arithmetic classes, which are useful for creating new spells and stringing ancient runes. Considering that he followed Marcus's steps to take an advanced ancient rune class, Harry felt that it was necessary to learn Arithmetic to master higher-level runes. If he can create new spells from taking his class, of course that's a bonus.
In between his busy studies, Harry still had the ambition to find out all the literature related to Necromancy as to what professor Snape had suggested. You can't ignore the advice of that one bat professor because everyone knows if the guy always gives useful advice. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried (even infiltrated the forbidden part) hogwarts library only provided books related to the blood magic ritual. It was indeed one part of Necromancy, but it was not what it sought or needed. Marcus promises to ask his Vampire friends for help, perhaps the Avalon library has a more complete record of this field of magic (which Harry considers something very ridiculous, of course they will find it, Necromancy is one of the classes taught there!). It's just that, it's different about whether they got permission to borrow that literature. Considering necromancy is not an indiscriminate study that cannot be confused with ancient runes.
"Hey, Harry."
"Hello, Luna," he glanced at the transfugation book, "Want to learn?"
The girl nodded, "You look confused."
"I... a..." Harry nodded as he put his pile of books to the table. He replied in a low voice because he didn't want to attract the attention of the library guard. "I'm looking for a book related to Necromency. But didn't find one here."
Luna pulled her head over, looking puzzled, "But why look for it? He's right here."
"What—" Harry followed Luna's moving index finger touching her middle finger, where Peverell's ring was pinned. Her eyes widened, knowing that Luna shouldn't be able to see the ring. slowly he turned his ring, so that his eyes were facing upwards. "What are you makhsud, Luna?"
"Cute young Lord," he chuckled, "Peverell is the Necromancer, Harry. You think how they could have done a pact with Death. Even the entire wizard in Great Britain knows the story of the Three Peverell Brothers."
The girl took out from inside her bag, and placed it in front of Harry, a children's storybook with her surname on it. Then he took off and placed his pendant on the cover of the book. Pendant with the House of Peverell symbol, "People call it Deathly Hallow."
Inexplicably, the name sounds familiar.
