The Last Marauders part 5: Fluffy, Sparky, Littlefoot, and Moonpie
Summary
Here is a small look into the lives of The Marauders a few years later.
Note
I heard this song today and I had to write something!

Phoenix fingers danced along the piano as he sang. He knows that he should be sleeping but this song has been on his mind all day. Phoenix left his husband in bed and his daughter was still sleeping peacefully. Aria sat on the couch in the control room in his home studio.

It’s been a crazy three years since his daughter was born. He has never felt so happy in his life. His parents are healthy, besides a little upset that they finally moved out. Not that they moved very far; they were just behind their house.

Lyra has them wrapped around her finger. His beautiful little curly hair girl. She is full of love and laughter.  She has taken after Phoenix, at three she has already started learning the piano. Aria is her best friend and follows her wherever she goes.

Then there was his husband. The man that brought him out of his darkness. The man he fell in love with a little more each day. Bill is a perfect father.  The way that he dotes over their little girl is what Phoenix loves most about him. Bill is the reason why he has this studio in their house. He sent his song to many record labels in the muggle and magical world. Now his main job is writing. Not that he doesn’t perform anymore he still performs almost every Friday night at Moonys and Padfoots.

Phoenix plays the last chord and opens his eyes. He sees the most handsome redhead looking at him through the window. Thankfully his husband couldn’t hear what he was playing. He made sure of that because of this exact reason. This song had been for him. Bill stopped the recording and waited for Phoenix to step out of the room.

With a groan he pushed himself up from the piano. His swollen belly, along with his sore back made his way out of the recording room. He has felt pain in his back all day.

When he opened the door his husband quickly moved him over to the couch. Bill gently sat him down and sat down next to him. The werewolf moved his feet into his lap and started rubbing them. Aria huffed and placed her head in Phoenix’s lap.

“I woke up and you were gone. I figured that you would be here. I’m not sure why you should be sleeping. Especially since our son will be here soon.”  Bill’s thumb hit the spot that made him melt.

“Yes, that is the reason I’m down here. I needed to get this song out before I went to sleep. I wanted to finish my special project. Now what do you say we go back to bed. We can sleep in seeing as Littlefoot is with Papa and Dad.”  Phoenix winked at him.

Bill smirked and pulled him up and as he stood he felt a small gush. Phoenix looked down and then up into his husband's eyes.

“Told you that I had to get this done. With a flick of his wrist he cleaned himself up. Phoenix waddled over to the magical recording board and pressed a few buttons before a disk came out.

“Alright no more waiting. Let's go meet our son.” Bill wrapped his arms around his husband, and apparated them into their library. Through the floo they went.

Poppy rushed out with a huge smile. “I had a feeling that you would be here tonight. Or should I say morning.”

Phoenix smiled at the older witch. “Bill go floo everyone while Poppy gets me ready. Lyra can stay with your dad outside.” Bill nodded and. kissed his forehead.

“I love you, I’ll be right back.” Phoenix took in his husband's treacle scent before he followed Poppy back to a free bed.

“Alright Phoenix lets get you comfortable.” With a flick of her wand he was naked with a cover over him and the sheet was up so he wouldn’t see what she was doing thankfully.

“Fluffy!” His Papa’s voice rang through the empty infirmary. Then his bed was surrounded by his parents and his mother-in-law.

“Hi Papa, sorry to wake you but our boy wouldn’t wait.” Phoenix laughed as the pain disappeared. It was time.

“I can’t wait to meet him, my Little Rock star.” His dad said with a smile, he pulled his papa back against his chest. Bill pushed his way to his side.

“You are so wonderful Nix. I can’t believe you are giving me another cub.” Tears were in his husband's eyes.

“Alright let’s meet this little one.” Poppy moved behind the sheet with-in seconds there was the most wonderful sound. The sound of his cub crying. “It’s a boy!”

Bill walked behind the sheet and then came back around with a dirty baby.

“Phoenix he is perfect.” Bill placed a kiss on their baby’s head and placed him on Phoenix’s chest.

“Oh yes Fluffy is so perfect.” His parents say in unison.

———-

Phoenix, Bill and Lyra sat on the bed in the infirmary. Lrya’s curly hair fell into her eyes.  Her smile was bright as she looked down at her baby brother.

“Daddy das my brofer!” She exclaimed.

Phoenix laughed and placed the baby down on the bed and took off his hat and blanket. All three of them counted his fingers and toes. Lyra gently touched the red hair that stuck up everywhere from his hat.

“Well Papa he is perfect. Do you think we should tell Lyra what her brother's name is? Then she can tell everyone when she goes to get them to meet him.”

“Ya Papa I wanna knows!” Bill picked up their daughter and kissed her curls.

“His name is Arthur Rigel, but you can call him Artie.” Phoenix said, booping his daughter on the nose.

Lyra bent down and kissed Artie's forehead. “I love you Moonpie.”

“Moonpie?” Phoenix and Bill said with a laugh.

“Yes I’m Littlefoot and he is Moonpie.” Lyra said matter-of-fact.

“You are right Littlefoot. Now go get our family so they can meet Moonpie.” Lyra ran towards the door and soon everyone was surrounding their bed greeting the new member of the family.

——-

Bill was exhausted. Having a newborn and 3-year-old was a lot. Now that they were both down he went to find his husband. Who should be resting but he knows that he will be in his music room.

When he got to the door he looked in and saw his husband. His black hair flowed down and flowed past his shoulders. Bill walked up behind him and wrapped his arms around him.

“You should be sleeping” Bill murmurs in his neck as his lips trailed down his husband’s neck. Phoenix leaned back and swayed.

“I will after this dance.” Phoenix flicked his wrist and his voice came over the speakers.

I used to hear a simple song

That was until you came along

Now in its place is something new

I hear it when I look at you

The piano started and so did strings. Bill looked into his husband's hazel eyes.

“Phoenix.” Phoenix smiled and nuzzled into his chest.

With simple songs I wanted more

Perfection is so quick to bore

You are more beautiful by far

Our flaws are who we really are

“You are the beautiful one Phoenix. So beautiful, smart, talented.” Bill leaned down and kissed every inch of Phoenix’s face.

The music swelled, as he pulled him closer.

“I love you so much Bill. I don’t know what I would do without you.”

I used to hear a simple song

That was until you came along

You took my broken melody

And now I hear a symphony

“You will never have to learn. I love you more.”

The music continued but Bill wrapped his arms tighter around him apparting him to their bedroom.

Later that night he fell asleep with Phoenix in his arms and a smile on his face.
