When You Throw 10 Teens in a Basement

“And… a huge black dragon attacks from around the castle corner!” Mike told the players. “Dustin, it’s all on you now.”
Mike handed Dustin one of the die.
Everyone was holding their breath, except Marlene. Marlene did not give a shit.
Dustin shook the die and threw it.
Will, Lucas, Sirius, and Remus exploded with cheers. Peter turned his head. Marlene mocked their cries of joy. Lily chuckled.
“Congratulations, brave men,” Mike said. “Though the game may well defeat you next time.”
“Like to see it try. What, is a dragon going to hop out? Pull me into the board or shit?” Will joked.
“Yeah, and a Demogorgon's gonna come and rip your face off!” Lucas said, playing along.
“Not to mention the giant spider who’ll rip off everyone’s roofs,” James said. It wasn’t a d&d reference, James just liked to talk.
“Anyways, I better get going. It’s pretty late,” Will said, glancing at a clock.
“I should too.” “Same here,” Lucas and Dustin said. Dustin made sure to glare at Sirius and Remus before walking out.
“Bye guys, see you at school tomorrow!” Mike called out the basement door, before shutting it.
“You have school? Isn’t it Saturday tomorrow?” Lily asked. It was Friday last time she checked.
“Uhm no, it’s Tuesday. We’ll figure out schools for you guys later,” Mike replied, a bit confused. Lily looked at Marlene, who was returning her confused stare.
“No need. We already go to school. In England,” Remus said.
“Well, I don’t know how you guys plan on getting there, but go for it if you can,” Mike told the newest additions to his circle of friends.
“Can’t we just take a… erm… aeroplane?” Sirius asked Mike.
“An airplane? If you can find someone to take you to Indianapolis, that’s where the nearest airport is. But I don’t know many people who’d take a bunch of teens to Indianapolis without any parents,” Mike explained.
Lily, James, Peter, and Marlene looked worried. Remus and Sirius however, looked as if they’d just been told they were getting a puppy.
“Great, so we get to stay here?” Sirius asked.
“Sure, if you want,” Mike said.
“But what about my parents? They’ll flip out!” James said.
“Mine will too,” Lily was pale.
“How about we’ll stay here for now, and if your parents are really worried, I’m sure they’ll find you,” Remus suggested.
“I guess that could work. My parents probably won’t be too bothered, though, it’s always been my brother who they cared about,” Marlene said, staring into space.
“Well we care about you more than some muggle,” Lily told her friend.
“Muggle?” Mike asked.
“Erm, British slang,” Peter blurted, thinking quickly.
“Hm, never heard it,” Mike said.
“Most people haven’t,” said Remus. “Isn’t common.”
“I have like five sleeping bags, but two of you will have to take the couch,” Mike changed the subject seeing the group getting uncomfortable.
“Dibs couch!” James yelled.
“I’m with James!” Sirius yelled after him.
