Chapter 4: Two Stars Collide ~ 1899
*Gellert*
Gellert got changed into his best clothes as he was getting ready for lunch with his Aunt Bathilda and Albus. Aunt Bathilda did say Albus’s brother might also come which he was hoping he wouldn’t as he didn’t warm to him much after seeing how he treated Albus.
Seems like a bully.
Gellert combed his hair and takes one last look in the mirror to make sure he looked perfect. Then left his room and made his way down to the dining room. Aunt Bathilda had sat herself at the head of the table and he was sat to the right of her and there was another place set for 2 across the table.
Gellert felt rather nervous suddenly and he didn’t know why. It was really unusual for him considering he was a very confident and charming young man. He also couldn’t shake the feeling of somehow that he had already met this auburn hair boy before. He would soon know if he had if Albus recognises him.
His thought was interrupted by a knock at the door. Aunt Bathilda stood up and walked to the front door to let Albus in. Then shortly after, Aunt Bathilda appeared in the dining room followed by Albus. Just Albus.
That’s good his idiot of a brother didn’t come.
Albus had his auburn hair combed to the side but a few curls fell over his face. He was wearing a grey 3 piece suit with a black wool overcoat and a necklace.
He’s handsome.
Gellert took a good look at the necklace and strangely enough it was the Deathly Hallows symbol.
Strange, is he interested in the Deathly Hallows as well?
Albus takes off his overcoat and places it over the back of his chair as he took a seat across from Gellert.
"Albus this is my great nephew Gellert. He’s here for the summer" said Bathilda with a smile.
Albus looked at Gellert with his bright blue eyes "Nice to meet you Gellert"
"Oh the pleasure is mine Albus" Gellert replied charmingly.
Wow he is attractive.
Bathilda waved her wand and as she did, a table spread of foods appeared on the table. Bathilda helped herself to some tea and cauldron cake.
"Albus dear, how is Aberforth?" Bathilda said with sadness showing on her face.
I wonder what Bathilda meant by Albus going through a hard time yesterday. I thought maybe teenage drama but it looks to be more than that.
"Aberforth is okay. He told me to say thank you for the invite but he just wasn’t up for it, sorry " Albus replied with sadness in his eyes.
"No Im sorry Albus. Just give him some time but if there’s anything I can do to help please let me know" Bathilda said while reaching for more cauldron cakes.
"Thankyou" Albus smiled.
I should say something. Nothing personal though. I could ask about his necklace.
Gellerts thoughts were interrupted "So Gellert, where are you from? " Albus asked with a questioning look showing on his brows.
"I’m from Germany, born and raised, it’s actually my first time leaving Germany. It is very strange to be in a different country to be honest" replied Gellert.
"Well Godrics Hollow is always warming to its guests" Albus said with a smile.
That smile.
"Hopefully" Gellert smirked.
Albus reached for some food and Gellert stared at his necklace.
Gellert pointed "Deathly Hallows necklace. You a fan of the book?"
Albus looked down at his necklace and looked like he was in deep thought " It was my Fathers and he passed it down to me"
Is his Father dead? People don’t usually pass things down if they’re alive. Unless it’s lies.
"Your Father has good taste." replied Gellert.
Gellert made sure to say ‘has’ instead of ‘had’ to see if his father was dead. He was really intrigued by Albus for some odd reason and he really wanted to get to know him.
Maybe I’m being too personal.
Albus looked up and was in deep thought once again as if he was trying to muster up a lie.
Bathilda noticed Albus’s awkwardness and changed the subject.
"It’s such lovely weather today, maybe after you’ve eaten Albus could show you around the village?" Bathilda said while looking at the both of them.
"I wouldn’t mind a tour. I haven’t had a look around yet" Gellert smiled at Albus.
"Sure but I warn you, there is nothing interesting about this town, it is extremely boring" Albus replied with a smile.
I wonder if he believes in the Deathly Hallows.
"Well I heard that one of the Peverell brothers is buried here and I want to know if the Deathly Hallows really is fact or fiction" Gellert muttered.
Albus looked surprise and looked like he was trying to find the courage to say something.
"It’s fiction Gellert I’m afraid. It’s just a story for children but I’m pleased you have an interest in reading" Bathilda mumbled on.
*Knock Knock*
Bathilda stood up and patted down her dress as if she was trying to iron out the creases on it. She left the room and soon as she opened the door he could hear faint voices.
Gellert looked over at Albus, thinking of what to say while Albus was adding a sugar to his tea and stirring it.
Albus looked up and met Gellert’s eyes and said "Do you really believe in the Deathly Hallows?"
"Natürlich" Gellert smirked.
Albus had a quizzical look on his face as he sipped his tea.
"Of course" Gellert said again but this time in English.
Albus was about to speak when Bathilda walked into the room "Albus your brother is at the door. He says he needs you to go home immediately. He said it was urgent."
Albus jumped up and put on his overcoat "Thanks Bathilda for the lunch, it was lovely."
Albus looked over to Gellert "I apologise, it looks like I will have to give you the tour of Godrics Hollow another time but it was nice to meet you Gellert"
Gellert smiled "No worries we have all summer"
Albus smirked and then left the room.
Bathilda looked at Gellert and smiled "It looks like you and Albus get along very well dear"
Gellert smiled back "I think we do too"
I defiantly want to see him again.
