Two Truths and a Lie
Summary
Draco and Hermione plan to get fake engaged for political gain but first they need to get to know small things about each-other through a fun muggle game call two truths and a lie.

“So you want me to…” Draco started to trail off. He really needed Granger to explain the game again.

“Tell me a lie and two truths. Then I have to guess what the lie is!” She leaned back in her office chair seemingly way too enthusiastic about this so-called game .

“I guess I don't understand the point.” Draco laid back on the couch in their shared office. Hands behind his head, legs crossed, the picture of relaxation.

“It's a muggle drinking game. If we're going to pretend to be engaged we need to get to know things about each other. This way it's fun. Plus we need to come up with a backstory.” Draco knew plenty of other drinking games that were more fun and informative. But whatever makes the golden girl happy.

“Are you still sure your okay with this? I don't want you to feel like I'm taking advantage of you.” Draco slowly sat up and rubbed the back of his neck, weary to approach this again. She's said it a million times that she's fine with it but he needed to make absolutely sure.

“I still need more votes on my werewolf legislation for it to pass. If we come out publicly together then that could sway the purebloods in my favor. This could potentially save lives Malfoy. All I'm doing is helping you look better, a pureblood elitist with a muggle born? That's good PR. The war has been over for 5 years and people still don't think you've changed. I can help with that. So I'm taking as much advantage of you as you are of me.” She rolled her eyes and sat up straight. She always made it seem like it wasn't a big deal. Like they wouldn't be lying to the entire wizarding world including their friends and family. Only Salazar knows how she wasn't sorted into slytherin for how ambitious she is.

“Okay so a lie and two truths.” He rested his elbows on his knees and spun the ring on his finger to help him concentrate. “I've had a crush on you since 4th year, I was almost named scorpius, and I begged my father to pay the school so I could join quidditch as a first year.”

“Well it's obviously the first one. You hated me until we both went back for eight year and you begrudgingly became my friend.”

“Right of course that was the lie.” Of course she couldn't see it. They became friends when no one would pair with him in Potions 8th year. They became friends and now they work together in a shared office in the Ministry of Magic. The line between love and hate was thin, and he frequently teetered on both sides when it came to his feelings for Granger.

“My turn. I have ridden a dragon, I slept with Harry Potter, and I'm the one who killed Greyback.” She rubbed her hands together in anticipation.

“This is a trap because I think they are all lies. There are no dragons in England, Potter is too obsessed with the She Weasel to sleep with you, he always calls you his sister, and I don't think you have it in you to kill anyone.”

“Nope.” She said with a pop of her lips. “One is a lie.” She was smirking like a cheshire cat.

“Fine there's no way in Merlin's ballsack that you slept with Potter. You're too close. And the She Weasel is your best friend. No way.” He really needed this to be the lie. There's no way Potter had another thing on him.

Granger let out a deep belly laugh. What the hell was so funny?

“Actually Ron killed Greyback for attacking Lavender. I slept with Harry when we were on the run. I also slept with Harry and Ron together when we were on the run. I also also slept with Harry and Ginny together right after the war.” Draco choked on his drink.

“The feeling when you don't know if you'll live or die is quite the aphrodisiac.” She picked up her cup and took a long sip of her tea.

Draco could feel his blood boiling. He tried not to let it show on his face he really did.

“Okay that's enough of this today. I'll see you tomorrow Granger.” He stood up off the couch and had a hasty exit. He needed to find the closest pub.
