Prologue
"Me and you ...we're where the sea meets the sandy sore. Which makes sense Y'know because I've always preferred the beach over every other place."
She was always made perfectly aware that girls where made for men to see and appraise like flowers in a field. But here she was listening to the most perfect boy describe how their eyes were that of the ocean and shore colliding to inhabit each other. She wasn't supposed to picture her life with anyone apart from the choice her mother picked but that was looking further and further from reality the longer this boy played with her hair and drew his name on her skin with his fingertip.
She was indecisive when it came to her feelings but he was the exception she was fully certain how she felt about him even if it was paired with another certainty, that certainty being that it was going to shatter her heart when it was over, because it would be over.
