The list
Fred was fretting. He felt responsible, but he also felt useless. They had gone over all the names of witches they could think of. There had been many arguments, the wizards convinced a certain crush was their true love.
One pair of wizards even punched each other before Mr Weasley separated them. He sent them both off to do boring tasks. He was used to this having six sons.
Fred was a little dismayed He was the only one of the brothers who did nit know who his true love was, apart from Charlie of course but he wasn't even there. He saw them so little he could have a family for all he knew.
He tried to fathom out who coukd be his true love. He thought of katie bell and Alicia spinnet, they were his good friends, could be one of them, but it didn't seem right.
None of the girls in his year felt right, no one did. His mind drifted to Hermione, maybe they were meant to be together, he did really enjoy her company. But he didn't think two years counted as older. He would just have to keep thinking. It was about 12 hours before they started letting wizards in. He knew that no-one was going to sleep tonight. If he hadn't thought of anyone in 6 hours he would go down and get in line and kiss Hermione and hope for the best, even though it didn't feel right.
After a few more of discussions that were going round and round in circles. He was beginning to get frustrated with no new information it was getting them no where. They need to most logical person and keenest note taker they knew.
"That's it. Hermione!" He almost yelled as he ran to the fireplace to floo to her flat. The wizards he paced looked very confused.
Once he was there he started his search. He looked in the drawers in her desk, no luck. All through the living room, no luck. He went to her bedroom, feeling a little creepy about going through her most private room.
Luckily he found a notepad on her bedside chamber, quill still on it, a pros and cons list of why she should tell her true love or not. He flipped through the previous pages and found a list of every witch that was there at the product testing and the name that they said due to the potion. He grabbed the notebook and flooed back home.
"I got it! Hermione is a bloody wonder, she wrote down the names of the matches. Well of the ones of the witches that were there last night. Its a start." Fred said excitedly.
"Okay guys I'm going to tell you if you are matched, if so please go to the ministry and kiss your true love, well when they open the doors." Fred told the stunned wizards.
"Ginny with Harry, well we didn't need a spell for that. Lavender with Ron, oh his life will be torture. Luna with Neville, they seem perfect for each other. Angelina with George, about time they realised. Mum you remembered well." He said with a smile to Mrs Weasley.
"Any ones we don't know.?" Dean asked.
"Patience. Dean you are matched with Padma Patil, lucky man. Seamus you are her twins true love, Pavarti Patil, you two will still be inseparable. Cormac, Hannah Abbott is the witch for you." As he saying the wizards names they were running outside to apparate. "We were right about Bill and Percy too. Five siblings down only two to go, doubt Charlie will be in here though."
"Fred is there more names?" Arthur asked his son with exasperation.
"Just a few, Oliver mate, Katie Bell is yours, my she will be happy, always fancied you she did. Lee, your on again off again girlfriend Alicia said your name. Justin finch Fletchly, is he here? Well Susan Bones is your soul mate." He told the thinning crowd of wizards.
"There is only two matches left. Draco is matched with Pansy, that figures, surprised you turned up." Draco just nodded and left.
"That leaves myself matched with Cho Chang. Well I never. That's it boys. I'm heading to the ministry to get in line to kiss my true love." He said almost running outside.
"Wait son, does it not say Hermiones?" Mrs Weasley asked.
" No she has just put question marks. She has made a pros and cons list, hopefully that will help you, maybe the remaining wizards and you coukd go through it. I'm off." The younger twin told his parents whilst handing them the note book.
With that he ran to the garden and apparated to the ministry.
