Once Again Together
The Weasley's would be getting back from Egypt in 2 days, and you couldn't wait to see your boyfriend again. You both had known that you couldn't send letters in case they were intercepted, and they were bound to be, especially since you are in different countries. You and Remus had talked about his position as the new DADA teacher and you still need your education, and you had brainstormed that you could go as his pet. You had taken a liking to foxes, and decided to go with that. You had the question of Castor now, but you thought you could ask Molly to take care of him since she is so good with kids. You and Remus got to talking after Castor fell asleep that night, and you asked him. “Did you ever love him? Sirius Black, I mean.” The words seemed to hurt him, but he had replied “Yes, I did. The way he smiled, how much trouble he had gone through for me, how we just kind of understood each other…”. “I know that feeling.” you said. “It’s like someone understands who you are and loves you for it. When even on your darkest days they make you feel loved, and like you have a life worth living. How even though you think so badly of yourself there is someone out there in the world who loves you, and cares for you, and would do anything to make you happy.” you said of a smile while thinking of George. “You must really love George, don't you?” Remus queried and you answered with “I do. He lets me see the beauty of what I would miss without him. He’s the light at the end of the dark, never ending, terrorous tunnel for me.” and you just smiled as you thought about all of the fun times you and George had together. You turned to Remus and said “I think I’m going to marry him.” then Remus smiled and said “If you're sure it’s what you both want, then go for it. Just be sure of it first.” and with that you already started to think of what you would say.
Just a day until you would see George again, and you were filled with anticipation. Either from seeing him after a month or proposing to him, you are counting the minutes until you meet. Remus somehow had a ring that he is letting you use, and even helped you pick something out and set up something small but romantic for the both of you. You remember getting up early to get ready, then making breakfast. You made sure everyone was ready and out the door by 10 o’ clock to get to the Leaky Cauldron where the Weasley’s would be staying. You had made Castor invisible to everyone but you, you had turned into an owl, and Remus had you perched on his arm. As soon as you saw a group of redheads coming, you flew straight to George, who must have known it was you since he seemed so surprised. “Hey there! It’s so good to see you again!” and you just hooted. Remus, Molly, and Arthur had shared Hello’s and caught up on things. After they had gotten their rooms, you went with the boys to their room to transform back to yourself and properly say hello to your boyfriend-to hopefully soon change to Husband. When they shut the door, and closed the curtains you transformed with a slight blue glow. When George saw you, he almost instantly started smiling and ran to kiss you. It had only been a month, but he had to kind of bend down from the height differences. A 6 foot ginger and a 4 ft 9 brunette makes an awkward kiss, but after being away from each other for so long it hadn't even mattered to either of you. After you kissed, you both just hugged each other and then you said “I have a surprise!” to which he said “As do I, Cerise!” you both pulled away from each other and Remus had knocked on the door to let you know everyone was heading down stairs for lunch.
You had taken to a fox form, and while the rest of them headed down for lunch you took a small nap. You had been a bit tired, which was very unusual for you. When you woke up, George was there right beside you and Fred was saying something. You had hurt a little from the position so you stretched, which had grabbed George’s attention. “Hey there, are you doing all right? Hungry?” to which you got up off the bed and transformed back to yourself. “Hey Georgie, I’m doing good. A little hungry though, but how are you? ”. He replied “I’m good. I’ll get something for you to eat.” he said and promptly left the room. Fred stayed with you, and attempted to make small talk. “So-um-how’s life?” you noticed that neither of them had spoken the clearest, almost like there was something in their mouth but they refused to let it show. “Pretty good, I’ve been getting along with my dad really well and ever since-you know-Sirius, he’s been not the best. If you know what I mean. He’s gotten a lot better, if only you’d seen how he was when he found out. Heartbreaking, it was.” you responded to which you got a reply of “Mmhhh”. You realized he was avoiding something, so you took to asking about pranks-the one thing he can't resist going on and on about. “So, have you two planed any pranks yet?” you asked. With a surprised and a little worried facial expression, he said “Actually haven't thought of that yet…” and started faking deep thoughts. You knew how to read minds, and undetected as well. You knew he wouldn't have liked you doing it without him knowing, but you wanted to know why they seemed even the slightest bit distant. You got a book from the beyond, and pretended to read as you concentrated on Fred’s mind. You closed your eyes and almost instantly you could hear his thoughts saying “Oh I hope she doesn't expect anything? Should I say something? This is getting a little odd. What if she finds out? I can't let her know! What will she say when she finds out we are trying to become animagi for her!”. You felt your blood run cold and immediately left his mind. You felt like screaming at them and crying but you felt like your whole body was a statue and you couldn't move no matter how hard you tried. George, Molly, Remus, Arthur, and Castor had come in and you sat up as you could now move and you shoved the thought to the back of your head. You let Castor get up on the bed with you while Remus and Molly explained your cover-up for the year and what would happen on moons and with Castor. The twins were on-board and fully understood every single bit of it. It eventually got late and you three had eaten all that George brought you, so you transformed into your fox form and curled up under a blanket on George’s bed. The next morning, something you didn't think was possible had happened…
