Camp Half-Blood(Percy POV.)
A scream pierced the battlefield
My heart nearly stopped, I knew that voice well. Stabing the Drachne I had been fight I turned around and looked for the blond princess curls he saw them and ran towards her. Annabeth was kneeling on the ground her hands clutching her sternum where a dagger was sticking out.
I grabbed her trying to see the wound but a tanned hand stopped me. I looked at her face the stormy gray eyes I loved so much were looking at me with so much love I was taken a back. She cupped my face looked into my eyes and said:
"It's my time Percy."
"No." I breathed, "Please don't leave me." I begged, uncaring of the monsters around me, all I cared about was her. Annabeth, My wise girl.
"Percy, please I know this is hard b-but my strings been cut the fate's have decided it." She said "Promise you'll try to be the same Seaweed brain we all know and love."
She coughed, "Seaweed br-rain, I'm sorr-y b-but I have to, please I lo-ove you so much and I'll wait for you in Elysium but I can't defi the fate's."
We both locked eyes and an understanding seemed to pass between us, I tried to say something but my voice seemed to fail me I finally settled on" Judo flip Luke for me, Wise girl." She laughed, "I will."
The rest of the battle passed in a blur. So many people died. Hazel died,Leo died, Piper died, Jason died, Frank died, I was the only survivor of the seven
I was put in the infirmary where my wounds were treated.I was summoned to the big house.
"Chiron." I said, as I walked in.He skilled sadly at me making m clench my hands, I didn't need pity. Ignoring my feelings I tried smiling back it turned into more of grimace. He spoke "Percy the Olympians have summoned you." Before he could speak I interjected, "I don't want to see them." He sighed, "They have agreed to give you some time to settle down." He said, " You will see them in 2 weeks," I nodded and left.
Two Weeks Later Throne Room, Olympian Council( Percy POV.)
I stood before council, I was not going to bow before them after all I had done for them.I did not feel the need to, surprisingly the didn't say anything about it. Zeus spoke in a voice I had never him speak in before, It was calming and gentle, but it just grated on my nerves, I hated the Pity. I would prefer to act like I wasn't a fragile piece of glass.I was brought out of my thoughts as Zeus finished speaking
"-so do you accept?"He asked,
"Umm, What are we talking about?" I said,
Apollo and Hermes snickered,while Athena face palmed, my father just smiled at me in amusement, Zeus huffed," Still as insolent as ever Jackson."He said.
My father spoke," Percy we were offering you godhood do you accept?" He asked, but I knew they already knew the answer, they didn't seem suprised when I answered
"No."
I saw Hermes discreetly hand Apollo 10 drachmae. Zeus sighed, "Well the other option is that we give you partial immortality, like the Hunters of Artemis."He said
"No."
Zeus threw his hands up in exasperation,"Well what do you want?"He said. I shrugged.I wanted to ask him to bring back Her but I knew even they had there limits, so I kept quiet.
Artemis suddenly stood up, She seemed nervous, as she walked over and put a hand on my forehead, as I was about to ask what the hell she was doing?, A silver light enveloped me.
She stepped back and said,"I have blessed you Perseus, you come under my protection just like my hunters, a male hunt or if you prefer the Brother of Hunt. You will be stronger in the night, a great hunter, it will also make your atrocious archery better." She smiled, I just stared at her, actually so did everyone else.
"Does that make you my mother!?"I asked,
She rolled her eyes " You could say that." Before I could process anything fire enveloped me, it didn't burn me, it reminded me of camp, it reminded me of my mother, it reminded me of home.
Everyone turned to the hearth where a little girl stood, as she walked towards me she grew into a 20 year-old woman.She smiled down kindly at me.
"I give you my blessing Percy, It makes you my honorary son, you can control fire, summon food and give people hope.You will make me proud."she said, as she ran her hand through my hair.
"Tha- "I was cut of again by a white light enveloping me, seriously couldn't they wait for me to finish speaking before they do the weird light thingy.
Hera stood, " As insolent as you are Perseus, you are also loyal and kind, you are someone deserving of my blessing, and worthy of being called my son."Here she shot a look at Ares and Hephaestus, who pointedly didn't look at her. Meanwhile I was wondering If I should be happy or insulted.
She continued, "My blessing allows you to feel familial bonds, it allows you to talk to animals -both mortal and mythical- I also allow you free passage on the sky on my husband's behalf."she said,glaring at her husband who opened his mouths to interject, upon seeing his wife's glare he wisely closed his mouth and slouched back in his throne.She then turned her eyes expectantly towards me. I of course being the seaweed brain I am didn't know what to say, I finally settled on a respectful," Thank you, mi'lady."
She huffed before smiling,"You may call me Mother,Percy." I just nodded dumbly.
I swear to Gods if someone else- nevermind Hades is pointing his staff towards me.
Where did he even come from?
The shadows reached out and wrapped around me, after a minute they parted and I suddenly felt a rush of information, telling me how many souls were entering the underworld, I would have toppled over if not for the hand that steadied me.
"I give you my blessing nephew, it will allow you to control the shadows, talk to the dead and order the creatures of the underworld around,it also gives you the ability to summon hellfire." He suddenly smiled a sad smile," It will also allow you to control the riches of the Earth like Hazel could, but your gems won't be cursed."He finished.
Before I could stop myself I hugged him, how could I not he gave me the means to talk to the dead,to my friends, so I hugged him tight he seemed startled before hugging me back, just as tightly.
Zeus decided it was time to ruin the moment, coughing pointedly, me and Hades turned twin glares on him and he flinched but manged to not shrink back.
He spoke,"It's decided we will all give you our blessings and if any of us want adopt him,I will bless him now."Suddenly l was struck by lightning, I yelped and tried to move but I couldn't, suddenly it vanished and i was left swaying.He spoke, " My blessing will give you the ability to fly, summon lightning, manipulate air currents and talk to birds."
Next was Ares, He smirked at me and I was surrounded by a red glow. It vanished quickly. He spoke as soon as it vanished,"My blessing allows you to master any weapons,It will also you to know all your opponents weakness and you will also produce a similar aura that me and my children give off."
Hephaestus was next, A bronze fire engulfed me. When it was gone he spoke," My blessing will make you a master blacksmith,you will also be able to communicate with dragons as they are in my domain."
Next in line was Apollo. A bright flash blinded everyone,as it disappeared, Apollo started talking,"My blessing make you able to heal yourself and others,it will also help you with archery,you also have an extremely good voice you can tell when someone is telling the truth you can glow in the dark and you can sometime see into the future. oh! and you will be able to infect people with sickness and plagues."
Hermes smiled mischievously and a blue light covered me,"My blessing allows you to be extremely stealthy, making you able to steal from others, you can also lie easily and also tell if someone else is lying, your also supper fast and great at pranks."
Dionysus looked so bored, as he flicked his wrist and a wind whipped around me it smelled like grapes and wine," My blessing allows you to grow vines, summon wine and drive people insane." He drawled, before I could point out I was to young to drink. It was the next person's turn.
Athena pinned me in place with her grey eyes, she then waved her hand and a grey light enveloped me,"My blessing gets rid of your dyslexia, It allows learning to be easier to learn and you will also be able to make good plans."
Demeter -who was holding a box of cereal- pointed at me and a green light enveloped me,"My blessing allows you to grow plants and manipulate you environments."
Aphrodite squealed and clapped a flash of pink and she spoke,"My blessing makes you extremely beautiful, You will also able to charm speak others and can tell if someone else has feeling for others."
Finally my Father pointed at me, A sea green light flashed and he spoke,"My blessing magnifies the powers you have before,you can now cause earthquakes,cause tsunamis, the sirens are technically under my domain so you have a beautiful voice and can control people with it, you can also transform into a merman."
I stared at them all not believing they gave me this much power,I said the only thing that came to mind "You could have turned me into a dolphin but thanks."
The disappointed look my dad gave me had no effect on me.
