Chapter 1
Percy sat on his bed with his head in his hands. He hated this. He hated trying to be a perfect person just to get an ounce of attention from his parents. He didn't want to be here anymore. He didn't want to pretend anymore.
He stood rather suddenly. It was the middle of the night and all he wanted was his boyfriend. He packed a charmed backpack with everything he might need for the rest of the summer. He was sure no one would notice his absentice anyway they never do. As this was an annual escape he took.
He slowly creeped down stairs careful to make no noise. He could hear his parents talking in the kitchen about money. They were trying to decide who needs what. He knew his name was never in the pile. It was alright though Oliver's mother got him what he really needed.
He never asked for a thing there but she always knew. She even got him things he didn't need. She would see him staring at something for to long at a store and just buy it for him. She in a way was more of a mother to him then his own. She let him express himself and never once questioned his fashion choices.
He got to the floo with no detection he grabbed a pinch of the powder and went to step in but was stopped short. His mother cleared her throat and was staring him down. He turned and looked at his mother in shock. He had never been caught before now.
"I would have expected this from the twins but you?!" His mother's voice rang out too loud in the quiet house. Percy heard several feet on the stairs and winced. He did not want to have this fight tonight. He wanted to be cuddle up in a warm bed with a blanket not riddled with holes.
"Where are you off to at this time of night Percy?" His father asked him softly. His father was always the more understanding of the two. It was something that took sometime to wrap his head around.
"My friend need someone with him. His father was sent to the hospital. I was going to help him," Percy lied through his teeth. His siblings were staring down from the balcony and Percy made up his mind. He was going to tell the truth be damned the consequences. "Is what I would usually tell you or some other lie I made up on the spot but the truth is I just don't want to be in this house anymore so I'm going to a friend's. I do this almost every summer and this is the first time someone noticed."
His father had a look of concern written across his face. Arthur had no idea one of his children were missing. Molly looked furious. How dare her son do something like that? Then accuse her of not noticing? It was unacceptable.
"You are a lier. You are here every summer," Molly hissed out. Percy shook his head and took a step closer to the floo. He was ready to make a quick getaway if necessary. He knew his mother's temper and knew how explosive she could be.
"Honesty more money in your pocket with one less mouth to feed," Percy said without thinking. His parents flinched back. He hit a nerve it seemed. "I mean seven children on dad's salary then we took in Harry and Hermione so that's nine kids on one paycheck. It's too much especially since you were struggling with just Bill. So I'll be going to my friend's house to give you so more money. I mean that's just six kids to feed as Bill and Charlie have lives and make decent money."
After that little rant Molly was turning red. Percy was certain he just signed his own death warrant. His mother looked him up and down. He took a deep breath. He hadn't meant to spew all of that out. He always thought it but never said it. Why did he word vomit tonight?
"If that's how you feel don't come back," Molly said firmly before marching upstairs yelling at his siblings to go to bed. His father sighed. Arthur was getting to old for this. His son was right about a lot of things but tonight just wasn't the night to say it all.
"I'll talk to her," Arthur said before going upstairs as well. Percy knew that ment to stay put but he entered the floo and left. He needed to be gone. He needed to be away.
He tumbled out onto the Wood's living room floor and started sobbing. Mrs. Wood made her way to him from where she sat on the couch. She pulled the 15 year old into her arms and rocked him gently. She was expecting him to show up but not like this. Not sobbing into her shoulder and clinging to her like she's his last life line.
"What happened dear?" She asked softly after he calmed down. She ran a soothing hand up and down his back.
"She told me not to come back. I said some truthful but hurtful things to her and she told me not to come back. Truth is I never want to go back," Percy said snuggling closer to the woman. He sniffed and laid his head on her shoulder. He was exhausted emotionally and physically.
"Well you are always welcome here," Mrs. Wood said. "Let's get you up to bed." The woman lead him up to the room he used in the summer since he and Oliver started dating.
Most of the time he didn't mind but tonight he really needed Oliver. He stared at his lover's door then looked back up at Mrs. Wood. She gave a small nodded and he went to Oliver's room. He climbed into the bed and snuggled under his boyfriend's arm. He felt safe for the first time since he left Hogwarts for the summer.

Percy woke up to small kisses on his forehead. He smiled and melted more into his boyfriend's arms. He blinked his eyes opens and looked at the Scottish Half-Blood.
"Good morning love," Oliver said playing with his hair.
"Good morning," Percy smiled brightly. He was so thankful to have him. Oliver for all his Quidditch obsession was the most caring understanding man ever.
"It's always a pleasure to wake up to you dear but what are you doing here?" Oliver looked at him worriedly as he continued to play with Percy's hair.
"I got into it with my parents and mom told me not to come back," Percy sighed.
"Well you are always welcome here my love," Oliver said before smothering his face with tiny kisses. Percy let out a series of high pitched giggles. He was happy.
They laid in bed for almost another hour before Mr. Wood knocked on Oliver's bedroom door. They sat up and smiled at the muggle as he entered.
"Percy, my boy, it's good to see you! I just wanted to tell you love birds that breakfast is ready," the man smiled brightly at the boys before leaving them alone again.
"That's my cue to get dressed," Percy smiled and kissed Oliver's check. "I'll see you at breakfast." Percy hopped off the bed and crossed to his room that held clothes he usually only wore during the summer. He pulled out a long deep orange skirt and a black tank top to wear.
Once he was dressed Percy brushed out his bushie hair and pulled it back into a ponytail. His mother never realized how long his hair was due to his curls and he was forever grateful for that. He walked calmly down the stairs and into the dinning room with a smile. He took his place next to Oliver easily and began eating.
An owl pecked at the window halfway through their breakfast. Oliver let the poor bird in and it landed in front of Percy with an outstretched leg. Percy too the letter and smiled when he seen it was from Charlie. He opened the letter quickly.
Dear Percy,
You have got some balls little brother! Bloody hell I'm proud of you for standing up for yourself. I know how hard it is for you to do things like that. If you want I'm free tomorrow and I'll take you out to eat and we can talk.
Love,
Charlie.
Percy smiled and handed the letter to Mrs. Wood's for her to read. The woman smiled as well. Charlie and Bill though no longer living with the Weasley family always took time to check in on their brother.
"I think that in an amazing idea," Mrs. Wood said.
"I can't wait to see him. I've missed him so much since he went to Romania," Percy said with a smile. He quickly wrote out a response and sent it to his big brother. Things were starting to look up for Percy.
