Classes Mayhem

Last night was a nightmare to get out of.

“I thought they would have left,” Yuu hissed as he sat up from his bed and looked out the window to the sprawling gardens.

“Heheheh, reporters are always vultures ah Yuu-Chan?”

``Yeah, no joking,” he yawned. “Anything happen yesterday?”

“Nothing much, Young Luna was just walking around most of the day and all the other girls stayed in their dorms.”

“I have a feeling that is not going to last,” Yuu sighed, running a hand through his hair as he stretched his body.

``Also Crewel is in your main study room!”

“...Why didn’t you tell me,” he yelped, jumping up and rushing to his closet in his room.

“We…We thought it best to let you sleep,” they spoke softly as he rushed out in a dress shirt, slacks and some dress shoes. He rushed down the stairs, using the banister to twirl around into the hallway and bolt down to the study at the end of the hall.

“Sorry dad,” he gasped as he zoomed in, the door slamming open as Crewel jumped in his seat, looking up before sighing.

‘I told them to tell you it wasn’t an issue,” he grumbled, getting up to close the double doors as his son panted, hunched over with his hands on his knees. “Your not in trouble, besides, all I said was today. I never said a time!”

‘S…Still, I like being punctual,” he reminded his dad with a pout.

“Yes, yes. The ‘hurry up and wait’,” he rolled his eyes, moving to pout them both a cup of tea as Yuu fixed his shirt. “I have interesting things to share with you,” he hummed, Yuu nodding as he sat opposite of his father as he took out the bag.

“Evere heard of a backpack,” Yuu sighed, looking at the worn leather satchel wtiha  raised brow. “Sure for the aesthetic and all…”

“It’s been magicked to be featherlight and expanded storage,” he hummed. “Makes you wonder how much they are slowing themselves down by.”

“The books are in there?”

“Yes, I looked at the books and I presume this is a fifth year curriculum,” he noted, handing on book over to Yuu who raised a brow at the title.

“The standard book of spells, grade 5,” he read off, looking through it with a hum. “...Huh?”

“Same,” Crewel hummed as he looked through another book called Unfogging the Future.

‘No not that,” Yuu shook his head. “I know the person to whom this belongs too.”

“You do?”

‘Yes and given the short introduction I have had to him I assume he has done this before,'' Yuu admitted. “He’s in Idia’s dorm, Neville Longbottom.”

“...Long-what?”

‘Longbottom,” Yuu turned the book around to show his adoptive father who raised a brow at the name before groaning.

‘I don’t even…whatever.” He brushed off with an annoyed sigh, leaning back and rubbing the top of his nose with two fingers to try and make the headache go away.

“Anything else you learn,” Yuu asked, his father shaking his head.

‘That annoying BITCH is making everyone not speak to us. Has a stick so far up her own damned ass it makes me want to puke,” Crewel admitted with a full on sneer.

“...So she isn’t making a fuss with just us, huh?”

“No, apparently their defense against the dark arts teacher position is jinxed and they have a new teacher every year,” he scoffed, tossing the book to the side with a huff.

“Defense against the dark arts?”

“Yes, Defense Against the Dark Arts.”

“No such thing,” Yuu shook his head with a smile. “To separate magic into light and dark arts is stupid and creates a whole host of problems that you have to deal with. Magic is not bad, it is simply the intent behind it.”

‘Yes, well, they are hiding a whole host of problems that neither I nor YOU will be dealing with. I swear I will punt Crowley over the damned fence if he passes any more items onto you,” he sneered, trying to slam his crop into his hand only to realize he doesn’t have it. “Bah,” he grunted, leaning back and throwing his head back as well with a tired sigh. “Me and Sam spent all last night going over these books and their timetables.”

“What about Clubs?”

‘They don't have any.”

‘None?”

‘None,” he sighed, hands flooded across his stomach as his long legs stretched out. “Well, they do have Clubs but not…Clubs,” he coughed. “Like we have.”

“Speaking of our clubs…might you sign off on my club application forms,” Yuu reminded his father who groaned.

‘I don’t want you having any more than 2 clubs,” he told his boy.

‘But the Science Club and the Horse Riding club are a must for me! And Tsunotaro’s club is about to be shut down! I need to help him!”

“What do you even do in his club,” Crewel demanded, not moving from his comfy spot.

“We talk…about Gargoyles,” Yuu nodded.

“If you simply want to talk to him you don’t need a club to do so,” Crewel reminded him with a well meaning huff, Yuu pouting as he crossed his arms.

‘Come on! Please Crewel,” he begged, the other sighing as he threw his hands up and gave a little hand wave as a ‘yes’. “Yes!”

“BUt you better keep those grades up and you better make sure to be in one of the top students in those clubs,” he warned, sitting up to see his son’s happy face.

“Of course! The Association wanted me in the science club anyway for me to continue to receive royalties for my work so there is that!”

“...That would have been good information to know,” Crewel mentioned softly, a bit upset Yuu left that tidbit out.

‘Oopsie!”

‘Yuu,’ he warned, the other laughing as he shrugged. “You could have told me!”

“I forgot,” he defended himself, shrugging as his father threw a balled up paper at him with a warning look.

“Well, moving on from your bad memory. How have things been here?”

“Nothing of interest really, I have usually been in my study here or my lab working on a new thesis to bring to the Alchemist Society. I think by fixing a component on a formula I will be able to get even more purified Mana to add to the reaction to make an artificial Magestone.”

‘Ambitious, and useful.”

“I honestly hope so, but aside from that I have only ever had a single visitor speak to me regularly…as regularly as you can in the last 2 or so days,” Yuu admitted.

“Hhhm?”

“A fourth year student of the Ravenclaw dorm. She’s being bullied by her fellow roommates and I had to give her some shoes and some clothes,” Yuu shrugged. “She didn’t seem too concerned with it but I don’t want her to get hurt so I gave her some things that I don’t or won’t wear.”

“I will have to take this up with the faculty of the school, but to me it looks like they have a worse in school rivalry than Night Raven ever did.”

“...Impressive.”

‘Not really,” Crewel deadpanned, his son smiling with a small shrug before he got up moving to the bookshelf and pulling out his own potions book.

‘Do you mind leaving the books here? I want to do my own comparison of them and see if I can even recreate the potions,” he grinned, Crewel leveling him with a dead stare that he still grinned at.

‘You mean you are going to copy the books and then share them with you little ragtag group of horrors to try and make them better,'' he smiled back, folding his hands over his stomach as Yuu gave out a little giggle.

‘Tee-hee?”

“...You blow up your lab, I will tell Crowley to make you pay for the repairs,” he warned, standing up while fixing his waistcoat.

“Noted and I see it is a lie, you will blame Crowley anyways,” he snickered, Crewel smirking at his boy with a cheeky wink before he motioned for him to follow.

“Now, I want you to be careful and I want you to keep me updated on how things go on the first day of school. As much as we tried to separate the two, that woman is insistent on being able to ‘ensure we don’t meddle’, by keeping her own eye on us.”

“...great.”

“That and she is insistent on contacting something called the Ministry of Magic or whatever,” he scoffed,  waving it off like it was some sort of bug.

“We’ll try and come up with some sort of plan,” Yuu told his father as they exited to the porch of Ramshackle.

‘I know you will and I trust you, but I also need you to keep an ear out.”

“...Girls like to talk and talk an be both good and bad,” Yuu remembered. “I’ve been with Vil for a long enough time to know the game.”

“I took you from one nightmare with your father into a another one just as dangerous,” Crewel grumbled.

“One would assume having a retired assassin as a father would have a whole more host of problems compared to being a model with a rather infamous friend and family.”

‘People will always be greedy and lord knows enough of them in this industry are vultures. Why do you think I became a teacher,” he shook his head.

‘You wanted to torture Kwit Trappola’s younger brother,” Yuu said, yelping as his upper under arm was pinched.

“Don’t even mention that,” Crewel warned as he took out his sunglasses and placed them on with a sigh. “Let me know how the conversation goes between you all. I assume it will be held via Video Chat?”

“We thought about text, but it’s easier to insult people like this,” Yuu commented as his father rolled his eyes and ruffled his hair.

“I will see you on Monday. Don’t forget you are in the advanced Alchemy and Potions class. So no  dunces wirth you,” he warned before heading off.

“I’ll be with Vil, Trey and Rook,” he smiled, Crewel huffing before he fully vanished.

Yuu snickered as he entered his dorm once more, whipping out his phone and sending a message to Idia to set up the stream for them all as they hadn’t had a chance to speak about the school the night before.

They were all getting a bit too merry the night before.

Yuu entered his computer room, decked out with various monitors and keyboards for his needs, Idia having helped set it up when both of them had spoken about wanting something like that. Yuu locked the door, having placed a “Do not Disturb no Matter What '' sign on it and having a guardian crow outside to scare people off.

He powered on his computer and entered the video chat app Idia has specifically made for all of them to keep their dealings private and secret.

They were all pretty famous and normal so to say, so it was best to keep things as in house as possible.

“Heya Idia, you look like shit,” Yuu commented, mindlessly moving around on his wheely chair.

‘Feel like it, Chef Louis brought the good shit,’ he groaned as Ortho popped up on his own screen, no doubt IN the system itself.

‘Hello Yuu-chan. You look very good, do you have any hangover symptoms?”

‘Na, Mama Crewel was insistent I grow a wine tolerance and Maleficent did the same after Lilia bugged her enough,” he informed them as more and more people popped up on stream.

‘Yo, back from track training,” Ace chuckled as he looked at Jack who shrugged, showing his wet hair and towel over his shoulders.

“We have a meeting soon,” He admitted as Deuce appeared on his own screen, Ace’s back behind him.

“You could share a screen,” Yuu told Deuce and Ace, both of which shrugged and brushed the other off. “Guys…”

“You all seem chipper,” Vil groaned as he entered the chat, small bags under his eyes as he sighed, rubbing them. “I hate how my Cousin got me to drink more,” he groaned, everyone laughing as Rook and Epel joined, the latter smiling like no tomorrow.

“I got some cowboy boots from Aaron Gilles last night! Best night ever,” he grinned as Vil rolled his eyes.

“They are quite a pair,” Rook admitted as Leona rolled his own eyes, Ruggie snickering as he laid on his bed with a whole plate of donuts.

“It’s not even 9 in the morning,” Yuu reminded the teen who shrugged and shoved another into his mouth.

“Ah, I see we have not arrived late,” Azul commented as he popped up on screen, dressed in an old t-shirt.

“Booo, do we have to do this,” Floyd asked, butting in on his brother’s monitor as his own was empty.

‘By all means, you can leave,” Riddle snorted, leaning on his desk as Trey and Cater popped up. “Not like you will adhere to anything we agree on.”

“...Yeah,” he agreed, no doubt still a bit asleep as he wasn’t trying to get Riddle to blow up.

“A miracle,” Riddle commented as he leaned back, cracking his neck as Trey wondered how long it was going to last.

“Did any of you look at Magicam yet,” Cater asked curiously as Silver and Sebek appeared on the chat log, everyone shaking their heads no before he hummed.

“Something bad happened,” Yuu asked, taking out his own phone.

“Nothing really, but it’s weird…like a lot of Hashtags about NRC…not that interesting of a place really,” he admitted as Yuu looked over the tags and sighed.

He, Cater, Vil and Lilia shared looks of understanding before they nodded about not speaking about it today.

They will deal with it later.

“Not Interesting,” Vil deadpanned as Idia snickered and Malleus popped up.

“...Did you get Lilia to help you,” Ace asked, Sebek yelling at Ace to shut it just as Lilia appeared in his own room.

‘Oh! Malleus! You got in by yourself,” he grinned as the other gave him a dead stare as he giggled.

“Shall we commence the meeting,” he asked.

‘Yes your majesty,'' Silver and Yuu commented, both of them sharing a look before they burst out into laughter as Malleus gave them an annoyed look.

‘I thought Silver grew out of that habit,” he sighed, Lilia snickering into his hand as Sebek shrugged. “Can we get back on track?”

“Yeah, yeah,” Yuu giggled as he leaned back. “Sooo…I have a student's bag…”

“Ah! I see,” Lilia grinned. “And I suppose you will be copying it like I am doing right now?”

“Yeah…”

“Anything of interest or to note,” Vil asked, sipping his morning tea much like Riddle was doing, as he too had under eye bags on him, he did get a bit more loose after moving in with his grandmother.

“Aside from the fact that they have a really weird curriculum…they don’t have like…any regular classes.”

“...Pardon,” Jamil asked as he and Kalim appeared. “What did you just say?”

“It's like…all magic based. NO english, no math, no science…well they have math but it’s math that is based in magic,” Yuu fixed last minute as the Dorm Leaders, Jamil not Kalim, groaned in annoyance.

“You're joking,” they all sighed.

“...How can they function without classes such as these,’ Malleus wondered as Lilia sighed.

“Arthimancy,” Lilia shook his head. “It is math based in magic…but that doesn’t mean anything in the real world! Statistics, Geometry, Algebra? Things used in the day to day?"

“Yeah, Herbology…Potions…Charms, History of Magic…”

“Not too different form us…granted we still have that stupid English class,” Ace whined. “I am so gonna fail again!”

“Not if you do your assignments on time,” Yuu reminded him as he placed the timetable down.

“So what…he’s a slave driver!”

‘He is Trein’s cousin…” Yuu shrugged.

“Why does there have to be two of them,” He whined into his hands as Yuu rolled his eyes.

“Have any of you noticed something since they arrived,” Jamil began, beside Kalim as they shared a monitor.

“...What,” they all asked, still a bit slow from the night before.

“Their headmaster? He doesn’t seem all too worried about any of this, in fact he seemed quite relieved about this whole predicament,” Jamil informed them, ever the dutiful servant with his keen eyes.

“...Dumbledore,” Yuu murmured, thinking back to the old man and his sad face.

“Yeah, he throws me off a bit, not going to lie,” Idia sighed. “He visited the dorm in mine, he said he was in the house during his years in Hogwarts,” he explained.

“He was,” They all asked.

``Yeah, he told me most of the teachers are former students, working in their Alma Mater,” He sighed. “So they like…all know that school and the workings of it.”

“I heard of loving your School, but that is too much,” Lilia admitted with a wry chuckle. “Have any of you experienced the same thing?”

“No,” they all admitted, Yuu shaking his head.

“I don’t think Crowley wants me near any of them, the headmaster the least,” Yuu admitted. “I spoke with him as he was on the way to Ignihyde yesterday I think,” Yuu explained. “Crowley showed up quicker than ever before and got all weird and confrontational.”

“That’s a surprise.”

“Then again it was right after the whole Umbridge thing in Heartslabyul,” Yuu added, all of the members present pulling a face at the mention of the woman.

“Should we have a code word via text for her? And in person,” Cater asked, not wanting to deal with her more than needed.

‘Toad should do for Text,” Azul sighed, smirking at the chokes of laughter he got. “As for in persons…something she herself knows so as to not arouse her suspecison?”

“Wands?”

“That will cause people around us to be confused,” Kalim asked, Jade blinking before nodding. ‘I don’t know, maybe we should say…umm…”

“Charmed,” Yuu spoke up, using his body to move his chair back and forth. “Well, I am quite charmed by this situation…I am charmed that you would think such of me…” Yuu breathed, looking bored. “Charmed in my family's dictionary means ‘man, you're a bitch and I want to leave’,” He deadpanned as he received snorts and nods.

“So we can agree, Toad via text is a cry for help and Charmed is a cry for help from those around you,” Vil smiled as they all raised a hand and nodded.

“Now, what to do if they approach you,” Lilia began, all of them turning serious. “If it’s the students, just…lead them back to their dorm or the library, don’t engage more than needed, we don’t need to even be near them.”

“Of course, that is all well and good for certain dorms,” Vil sneered as Savanaclaw, Octavinelle and Heartslabyul merely smiled in response. “But I assume we will try to keep interactions to a minimum to say the least?”

“Yes, I have heard rumors of intense inter school problems, mostly revolving around Gryffindor and Slytherin, so the dorms Idia and Malleus have, fitting with two dorms so incompatible for one another,” Jamil commented.

“And what of the other two?”

“They seem to be smart, keeping to themselves and keeping things on the down low so to speak, they don’t want to get in the way.”

“I can say the same for me. Those from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff don’t get too much in my business, it’s the ones from Slytherin and Gryffindor that are really bugging me,” Yuu admitted. “Those Slytherin’s have such a stick up their ass it annoys the ever living shit out of me and makes me want to…I won’t say it. I will control myself…” Yuu took in a deep breath before releasing all the tension in his body. “They are making things…complicated?”

“How so?”

‘Apparently none of them make their own food, it’s all made by staff…breakfast, lunch and dinner…they also have a communicable tea time that they demand to use one of my sitting rooms…to which I said no and I need that monitoring system you have Idia,” Yuu began.

“I’ll send some bots to set up everything in your computer room,” Idia grumbled.

“And the Gryffindors?”

“Nothing much, aside from how they get into arguments with me about the school, demanding to know this and that…I avoid them as much as possible and it’s only been about…oh…I don’t know…2…3 days,” Yuu shrugged.

‘Let’s keep it that way for now and we’ll proceed with classes as usual…correct,” Lilia demanded.

“Yes Lilia,” they all nodded, seeing that he was deadly serious and not in the mood for them to act up.

“Now…who's ready for classes tomorrow?!”

“...Uuughh…”

“Ahahahah!”

The rest of the day soon devolved into petty drama after that.

You know...the usual.

2 WEEKS LATER

“I am getting a real bad feeling,” Yuu stated as he met up with Ace and Deuce in the mirror chamber.

“...Yeah, us too,” Ace nodded, the three of them making their way back onto campus for the first real class of the semester.

But…weren't classes supposed to start up 2 weeks ago?

Yeah…Funny story actually…

So the teachers had realized that even though the entire student body needed to retake the year due to the exams being cut short and the…incidents, all of them still retained a lot of the information from the year previous and they would need to test them on what they remembered.

So the last 2 weeks have been nothing but mass testing for the entire school, with Yuu monitoring Savanaclaw when he has the time and in Ignihyde as well, since those recluses made a fuss about having to be on campus for mass testing when they could do it in the lobby of their dorm.

Then they had to remake class schedules, people swapped out classes and it was a whole mess okay?

But now they were back on track and were about to face the music so to say.

“I don’t know how I feel about this to be honest,” Deuce murmured, looking around with an apprehensive look on his face.

“We managed to avoid them because of an oversight but…man…” Ace sighed, Yuu humming as they walked through the gates where Epel, Jack and Sebek awaited.

‘Hey,” Epel nodded, crossing his arms as he made a motion behind him.

The Hogwarts students.

“...Can’t they stay in their area,” Ace whined as he rubbed the back of his head, Yuu eyeing Neville who urged his friends…or at least Yuu thought they were, to head to class faster.

Yuu and Neville had…an agreement so to say.

Yuu had proctored most of the History of Magic exams in Ignihyde they had to take and Neville had been trying to get away from his roommates for a majority of the time. They had gotten to speaking and Yuu had understood that not only were they nosy bastards, but one of their ‘guy pals’ was in his own dorm.

Neville had promised to keep Yuu updated on anything they might do and Yuu promised to make sure that nothing bad happened to them when they were on campus. The dorms were free for all.

Neville agreed to the terms and Yuu was tempted to have Azul make a contact, but the boy looked green enough around the gills as it was and he wasn’t tempted to play with fire.

It had gone well enough, with Crowley’s Crows being the middleman between him and Neville, the idiot headmaster no doubt knowing what’s going on but too swamped with media and the likes to fully intervene.

“It’s kinda hard when they need to go through the main gate,” Yuu shut Ace up with hard facts. “Come on, we need to get class or Trein is gonna murder us.”

“Don’t need to tell me twice,” They all yelped, Yuu chuckling as he followed, waving at his friends as he passed them.

“...I have a bad feeling about today,” Lilia murmured to Malleus who nodded before eyeing the students from Hogwarts.

Something was going to happen and it was not going to be good.

“I’ll send a message to see if anyone is free in the 2nd and 3rd period. Yuu has free periods for experimentation,” Silver said. “Until it’s unlocked he can’t join,” he reminded his father who gave a curt nod.

“Good boy,” He smiled before it fell off his face. “I have potions with Malleus 2nd period.”

“And then I have History of Magic for 3rd Period,” Malleus reminded them both as the warning bell rang. “We must head to class posthaste.”

``Yes, yes,” they nodded, going their separate ways as they eyed the Hogwarts students with appraising eyes before vanishing down the halls.

But peace did not last.

“Dude, why are you so lucky when we have to be tested on spells,” Ace whined as they moved onto second period nearly an hour and a half later.

“It’s because I have worthwhile endeavors and you can barely passa a class without a study guide,” Yuu snorted as he tossed his bag to the side beside an apple tree in the main courtyard. ‘And I am the most trustful student here in this school, so…shoo,” he waved them off with a snicker as they all grumbled.

‘You are so lucky,” they cursed him before rushing off as the warning bell tolled, their faces stricken with annoyance before they vanished.

‘Sucks to be you,” Yuu snickered before sighing, laying down under the shade he allowed all the tension to be expelled from his body before he rummaged around in his bag for his newest thesis he was almost finished with.

He just needed to add a few annotations here and a fix there, then it would be ready for the Alchemist Society that was coming today; his Scripture Thesis was already finished.

Haaa, he just wanted to rest but science waits for no one!

Okay…he was just bored in actuality.

But it happens to everyone.

He spent who knows how long adding things on, putting in new ideas and all other things that came to mind in his report. One thing he learned is that only your first report is perfect without anything to add, after that they didn’t care as magic and science was always everchanging and no one had time to make a report.

Not to mention they got fucking tedious to do.

BUZZ! BUZZ!

Yuu blinked, fishing out his phone expecting Ace or even Deuce, only to raise a brow at Vance’s text.

Father of the Fashionista: Hey, I am just reminding you that you need to approve the palette ideas for the campaigns you're doing.

Yuu: Isn’t Vil the one who took the idea?

Father of the Fashionista: It’s a collaboration between you and him. With all the press from the Monstro Lounge opening, people are looking for anything you two are doing together. We’ll sell more units that way.

Yuu: And keep production of units down? Since doing it on our own would be more costly?

Father of the Fashionista: Bingo, Kid. You are smart when it comes to business. Your father was a business mogul right?

Yuu: Yeah, I know a thing or two when it comes to things in engineering, medicine and Aerospace. Not so much the beauty world.

Father of the Fashionista: You know a facet of it you can learn the rest of it. You are doing well.

Yuu: Thanks. Send me the samples in person please? I’ll swatch them and decide if anything needs improvement. It will be good to also get the others to try them as well.

Father of the Fashionista: Good idea. Your friends will be the faces of it along with you, I have gotten most of the contact information. I just need help contacting Riddle Rosehearts Legal Guardian.

Yuu: ‘Kay. It’s complicated but he does want to do this, he just needs to gather some courage.

Father of the Fashionista: No, I get it. She was a really bad mother and it makes me ill to think of her as a mother…much less my old schoolmate from college.

Yuu: Anything else you needed from me?

Father of the Fashionista: I’m going to send you a PDF with all the mood boards for the campaigns. We are doing a 9 pan palette, 2 highlighters, 3 lip glosses and 2 lipsticks per set so make sure to ask if everything is alright from the clothes to the colors.

Yuu: I will

Yuu: Got to go, trouble is brewing. Send the PDF and samples as soon as possible.

Yuu looked up to see Umbridge come forward, looking all ruffled up as he sat up to watch her come forward

“Might I inquire why you are not in class at this time,” She smiled, Yuu gripping his phone tight as he pursed his lips. “If I am correct, you are from…9 am to 4:30 pm?”

“I have a free period,” He answered. “I have 2nd and 3rd period free on A days, B days I have all my classes.”

“...I beg your pardon?”

“We have eight classes, four classes a day. Every other day,” he explained, gathering up his items with a narrowed gaze as the students from Hogwarts came out from their own classes.

“...My, how does anything get done,” she scoffed, rolling her eyes as she crossed her arms.

“Could ask the same for your school,” he shot back, standing up as he looked behind him to see Neville looking sick behind him and motioning for himt to not do anything.

So even the students were afraid of her.

Interesting…and worrying.

“I also must ask, why are you loitering around in the courtyard? Not in the Library or Study Hall like a regular student?”

“...Like people don’t do that in your school, which I would like to remind you…this isn’t YOUR school,” he snapped, glaring at her as her face pinched up as if she had eaten a particularly sour lemon.

“...But I am a teacher-”

‘Not my teacher, and look,” Yuu chuckled. “I get it, you're not used to people not listening to you. But I don’t respect people who don’t show me the same courtesy. I get that I may have cussed you out, but you were in a place you shouldn’t have been and we were more than courteous enough to give you time to leave,” he snapped.

“...You best hold your tongue young man,” She warned.

‘Or what,” Yuu challenged. “Not like you can do anything against me without serious repercussions,” he snorted, moving to leave before she grabbed his wrist.

“I will be courteous myself and instruct you to respect your teachers,” She whispered as she gripped his wrist tighter.

“...I do, but you're not one of my teachers,” he snapped, ripping his wrist out of her grip and turning on her. “So back off. I mean it,” he warned before stopping as she pulled a wand on him.

``Now, now, don’t do anything drastic my boy,” she smiled, wand pointed at him as pursed his lips.

“I haven’t done anything!”

“I must admit I am quite surprised they broke their own rules by letting in a first year into their…prestigious,” she scoffed out the world like she thought they where being stupid. “Grounds. Tell me, what does a first year do to be able to come onto a campus that is only a four year institution.”

“...It was an accident,” He admitted, having had enough of her bull. “It was an accident and I wasn’t able to go home. There, happy? Good, now leave me be,” he snarled, moving to leave only to stop as she rushed forward, wand still out.

“And why aren’t you in the charms class at the moment?”

“...” He debated telling her the truth to just get her off his back at the moment, even if she would blow up at him for not having magic, he is safe with everyone here.

“Goodness, Dolores what are you doing,” Yuu turned to see a woman with emerald green robes rush out, Yuu thanking the Seven he was saved.

‘I was merely wondering why a boy so young was in a school they accepted only 5th years and up,” she huffed, lowering her wand slightly as Yuu shifted his backpack. “He doesn’t participate in any magic class as far as I have seen today and in fact he wasn’t in the flying class earlier when they where doing testing.”

“You a stalker now,” Yuu demanded as the other woman motioned him to back off, which he did.

“Dolores, we cannot risk upsetting these people-”

“What are you doing,” a deep voice asked, all of them turning and Yuu waved to Lothric who was a Pomefiore 2nd year who came rushing forward.

Yuu had dragged him to safety during Vil’s overblot and gotten him out of the immediate area, Lothric ever grateful for him and was his usual potions partner outside of his friend group when they had other things to do.

“My savior,” Yuu breathed as Lothric turned on them.

“How dare you use magic on a layperson! The prefect may be intelligent but using magic is too much!”

“I can handle it,” Yuu deadpanned as Lothric gave him a look.

“Mmm-hhmmmm,” He rolled his eyes as Yuu jabbed him in the stomach as Aman from Scrabia came out with a gasp.

“You're using magic on the magicless student! Not cool,” he yelped, taking out his camera to record it as Dolores turned on him with such a shocked look as all of Hogwarts gasped.

“...Ma…Magicless,” she shrieked, Lothric putting Yuu behind him as her wand snapped up.

“What are you doing,” he demanded, Yuu gasping as he saw the other Hogwarts teachers do the same.

“What is a magicless student doing here in your establishment,” she demanded. “Does your ministry know? Does the ministry know!”

“What are you talking about,” Lothric demanded as Crewel came out.

‘What in the name of the great seven are you DOING! Why are you pointing that at my student,” he boomed, coming out as Sam and Trein rushed in.

‘Woah, woah, woah,” Sam gasped as Trein ordered a student to get Crowley. “What’s with the tension! Little Imp you alright?

``They're making a fuss since I am magicless,” he grunted, going to Crewel as the woman's wand was still trained on him.

“How could you let a magicless student come into your halls and learn about all of this,” She demanded, red faced as the other Hogwarts teachers came forward.

‘Do not speak of my child as if he is not here,” Crewel demanded as he pushed Yuu behind him. “He has more than enough right to be here, magic or no!”

“Not if it is going against the statue of secrecy!”

“Thet what,” Trein demanded, still not understanding what she was harping about even after so many meetings of her barking about it.

“The Statue of Secrecy! He needed to have his memories obviated and be put with a non-magical family! The sanctity of the Magic World would be in danger if he exposes our kind,” she gasped as some of the teachers nodded in earnest, students whispering amongst themselves.

“...That doesn’t exist,” Crewel snarled much like his pet dalmations his mother looked after. “Unlike you backwards, backwater HICKS! We don’t bother to keep magic secret! We live in harmony with the non-magical! Yuu will be held back if he is put into a non-magic school!”

“I…It doesn’t exist,” she gasped. “How…How could you-”

“Indeed,” Crowley spoke as he appeared in a flash of Crow’s, eyes burning bright and serious as he stepped forward. “And you,” he turned to Umbridge, who stiffened. “I thought I had warned you to not come near Yuu Fujimaru at all?”

“...You are all…risking-”

We…Live. In. Harmony. With. Non. Magic. People,” He stressed, leaning down as she stumbled back into the other woman’s grip. “Get it through your head that you are NOT in the same world and we DO NOT function by the same rules as your own. Magic here is celebrated and accepted, part of a facet of everyday life but not overused.”

“...That is not right, how can that be-”

“Dolores,” Dumbledore spoke, coming out from the wall of students with a heavy face. “Step down. We have angered them enough these last few weeks.”

‘As Senior Undersecertary to the Minister of Magic-”

“But there is no Ministry here,” he reminded her, stopping her short as he came to stand beside her and the other woman. “You do well to remember that and that I am the utmost authority here at the moment. You may record what you wish of my staff but these people do not have to go through the same thing…I will not be there to stop them should they kick you out.”

“And it is very tempting,” Crewel snarled as the first years rushed out.

‘Dude, the heck,” Ace called as Yuu looked to Divus who urged him to go to his friends.

“It’s crazy,” he panted, shaking his head as Jack stood in front, his pact instinct telling him his friend and leader-let’s face it, Yuu holds the braincell 75% of the time-was in danger. “They are saying I should be with a non magical family and all other bull,” he grunted, pushing his hair back as Sebek shivered in anger.

“Honestly, that is just plan discriminatory,” Vil gasped as he came out with Rook, the hunter’s eyes on Umbridge as she prickled in her spot.

“How dare they,’ Riddle snarled as Cater looked at them all with intense gazes himself, sending a message to Idia about keeping a record on them and to pull the video evidence from the courtyard.

“Oh my, the young Prefect not being in Night Raven,” Azul gasped, actually shocked that someone would say something like that.

“I wouldn’t dare imagine that future, besides, he is only able to do what he is able to do with the help of Night Raven,” Jade nodded, looking shocked as others murmured about them being unfairly mean to Yuu.

‘I wanna squeeze her,” Floyd growled, eyes narrowed as his brother and dorm leader held him back.

“WAAAHHH! Yuu! Come stay with us! I don’t trust you in Ramshackle,” Kalim cried out, tears gathering in the corner of his eyes as Jamil pursed his lips, looking for the yellow and black ties to see their reactions.

Nothing too bad…unlike the ones in Green ties.

“Diasomnia is about to get…very heated today,” Lilia murmured to himself as some of his dorm members, good allies of Yuu and the ones he led to help save Malleus, pointed to the dorm members they where housing. Lilia jumped when Malleus broke from formation, coming out to stand beside Crowley and stare down the woman in pink who sputtered at his appearance.

“W…What are you,” she demanded, face pulled into one of disgust.

“I am Malleus Draconia, Prince of the Valley of Thorns and Dragon Fae,” he crossed his arms.

“What,” Hermione gasped beside Harry and Ron as everyone pointed at him, the teachers grabbing their wands as Dumbledore stood straighter.

“I happen to be a good friend to this ‘magicless’ student you are insistent on kicking out,” he hummed, Crowley turning to motion the First Year group to leave.

“Go to Octavinelle’s lounge,” Azul told them, motioning them to the hall of mirrors. “They don’t have any reason to be there without any madol,” he informed them, all of them nodding before rushing off.

“...I thought only humans could be here,” Umbridge began.

‘Oh she’s pissing me off,” Leona clucked his tongue as Ruggie began to growl.

“She come’s to Savanaclaw…she’s gonna get it,” his dorm mates nodded as Leona huffed.

“Let’s leave, I don’t want to look at her face any more than I need too,” he grunted, turning to head to class as the others followed.

“I am so nailing this bitch,” Idia grumbled as he worked to gather up all the dirt he had heard on her.

“Should I release more nanobots to their side of the castle brother,” Ortho asked Via comms as Idia was still in his room.

“Yeah, do that. Also make sure they have high magic resistance, since all they seem to do is magic this and magic that,” he grumbled.

“Right!”

“I believe you all should follow me…Draconia…go cool off,” Crowley warned, Malleus turning to him before nodding, realizing Crowley was not budging on this. “And…Don’t go to Yuu.  You’ll just end up angrier.”

“...Very well,” he turned and vanished in a puff of green fire, Crowley turning to the rest of the students.

“All of you back to class! The day will finish off as normal as we only have two classes left,” he ordered, snapping his fingers to send them off as most of them went to their dorm leaders to ask what was going to happen now that Yuu was definitely in danger.

“...I suppose you shall want a meeting later tonight?”

Crowley turned to Dumbledore, the older man’s eyes shining with an understanding that he couldn’t quite understand before he nodded.

“....ON SECOND THOUGHT…ALL GO TO LUNCH OR TO YOUR DORMS. HOGWARTS STAFF AND NRC STAFF…COME WITH ME,” he boomed, turning on his heel as Crewel gave a warning growl himself, Trein grabbing him and marching him behind Crowley.

Everyone looked to one another, the first official day of classes already ruined in such a spectacular fashion that they held little hope for the rest of the year before dispersing themselves.

“Should we head to the lounge,” Ruggie asked, Leona shaking his head.

“Nah,” he yawned. “Yuu and those idiots will want to forget the whole thing and we’ll just be bringing it up the whole time.”

‘I suppose you're right…”

“I guess we could use this to see if they are a threat to Yuu,” Kalim asked, Jamil nodding as he grabbed his hands and urged him to follow him to the group of Scrabia students who bombarded them with worries.

Everyone was unsure of how things will be tomorrow.

But they knew for sure that this was a real shitty way to officially start the school year.

With the teachers, it was silent all the way to the main meeting chamber where all teachers were gathered into, many of them whispering and glowering at the Hogwarts Staff.

“I cannot believe the first day of new classes has been ruined because of them,” Brougher Gothel snapped as he pointed to the mass of robe-wearing teachers. ‘Not to mention they are picking on the only mentally stable student we have here,'' he gasped.

The music teacher, Lucien Lumiere, or Double L as he is usually referred to as, nodded as he turned to his companion the woodshop teacher, Daniel Cogsworth.

“To be honest how they acted was so off putting,” he snorted as Cogsworth nodded.

“How could you allow a magicless student into your halls,” Dolores demanded, Dumbledore standing up as Crewel moved to pounce on her.

“I would keep your opinions of Night Raven’s Best Student to yourself if him being magicless is what bothers you,” Crowley whispered, hands clenched tight as he sat down, Dumbledore stopping Umrbidge who went to speak again.

“I am sorry about this. But as you have deduced, we have kept magic secret for our safety; but we have not comprehended that you do not do the same,” he began slowly, urging his teachers to sit as Crowley hummed.

“...yes, I can see that. And the folly runs with me,” he admitted. “I was so caught up with getting my students situated after the incidents last year that forced them to be held back in the name of the state of education. They all needed to be tested and I let this lingering thought run away from me,” he sighed, running his tongue over his teeth as he rooved his eyes over the entire Hogwarts staff.

“And I don’t blame you for that. We should have asked when doubts came into our minds as well,” Dumbledore nodded.

“...Yes…Yes…”

“Make no mistake,” Crewel shifted in his seat. “Yuu Fujimaru is a student of Night Raven through and through. Magic or no…in fact he does have magic. It’s…not coming through,” he admitted.

‘...That makes no sense,” Snape spoke, glowering at Crewel who gave one right back.

‘He manifested a magic pen, a conduit for our magic and he can fly,” Crewel huffed out, fixing his coat.

“Ha! As if that is proof enough for him having magic,” Dolores snapped, Crewel reaching forward again only to have Vargas slam him back into his chair. “Those brooms of yours are reeking of magic that a non-magical could use and those pens! Not a wand made for a wizard!”

“How’s about you understand we are different you-”

‘Sir Crowley,” an aide yelped as they entered hastily, the man looking up as they sweated in their spot. “The…the heads of the Alchemist and Rune Society are here…”

“...Already,” He sighed as all of them turned to the side.

“Yes, the Society of Alchemists are looking into an equation that could help send them…home,” he coughed, turning to look at the Hogwarts staff that sat up straighter. “The Society of Runes is helping in that matter as well. Both are coming to speak about the processes that have been sent to them.”

“At least he works fast, '' Flintwick murmured to Sprout who nodded happily with a small clap.

“...Send them in please,” he ordered, waving them in as they entered.

Both of them were of what the Hogwart Staff assumed, Native or African descent. The woman adorned with clay beads in her hair, braids and feathers as paint was across her face and entire body. The man held a staff, held crazed hair as he looked around and sung a small tune.

They raised a brow at the Hogwarts staff, but then came to the conclusion it was who they were helping on top of the revisions young Yuu did to various equations and processes.

‘Did we interrupt something,” Amonute Willow, head of the Society of Runes, demanded as she crossed her arms.

“...We just came to ask where the little genius was,’ Abdalla Rafiki from the Society of Alchemists smiled as he waved his staff around.

“I am sorry, but something has…occurred. And the meeting between both of you and young Yuu will have to be rescheduled,” Crowley began, all of Hogwarts turning to him with a raised brow.

“...Oh,” they both deflated.

“He is not in the best emotional state, but he did inform me earlier he did have everything sent to you via e-mail?”

“Yeah, we were hoping to work with him to go over his revisions,” Amonute grumbled, looking annoyed as she shook her own head before moving to leave. “I’ll find a new time to come over.”

“Aren’t you here to help us find a way home,” Professor Vector asked, looking desperate to get out of this school as Amonute turned on her.

“Not really,” she sighed. “I was going to help Yuu since he wanted you gone as well. But I didn’t come here specifically for the premise of helping you,” she admitted.

‘Me either,” Abdalla admitted with a shrug as he swayed from side to side. “I was only here to help with such an endeavor as a side note to the revisions Yuu made to an Alchemical Formula.”

“I understand your frustrations but I must prioritize my students' well being after what happened last year,” Crowley admitted, looking solemn as they nodded.

“We understand,” they both agreed.

“B…but can’t you still help us! You are already here,” Flintwick gaped at them both as they looked bored.

“We only really came to speak to Yuu. He’s incredibly intelligent and he knows most of what happened. We didn’t read up on your section until we took the journey here and to be honest I don’t understand half of it,” Abdalla admitted with a shrug, unbothered by they absolutely scandalized expressions. “Tell the kiddo to message me when he’s free!”

“I will.”

“Thanks,” Abdalla grinned as he hopped out of the room.

“DO mention that the Society is holding a soiree in a few weeks and I would like Yuu to be there,” Amonute mentioned.

‘He would much rather focus on his education and you know that,” Crewel reminded her.

“Pooh, you're no fun,” she smirked before waving. “Well, tell the kid to slow down on the improvements since he sent in three in the last month.”

“...That boy,” he whined into his hands as she fully vanished.

“...And why have you allowed the boy to do such-”

‘Shut up,``Trein finally said, annoyed and at his wits end with her voice. “I can tell you despise my treasured student on the basis of him not having magic and the thought of it makes me want to vomit. The Alchemical and Runes Society both have magic and non magic people working for them. Some people have gifts that others do not. It is a facet of everyday life and I cannot for the life of me understand how you do NOT see that.”

“Trein, her brain can’t seem to handle all that you are telling her. Let it go,” Crewel hummed, rolling his eyes as he snorted into his drink he had.

“As if you are going to let it go,” Trein rolled his eyes as he held Lucius closer who hissed at Umbridge, showing his eternal hate for her.

“Damn right I’m not. They hurt my boy I will murder you all-oomph,” Lucius had jumped from Trein’s grip onto Crewel’s lap, hitting him square in the nuts as he whined and held them cursing the feline that glowered at him. “Damned thing.”

“Meow.”

“I hate you.”

“Going beyond your needless hatred for my beloved familiar,” Trein coughed as the other staff snickered.

Crewel hated Lucius since the first day he met him in class and still does nearly a decade later.

“I will see to it that the students keep the discussion of Yuu and his status as something to not talk about in the end,” Dumbledore began.

“This is not right-”

“I would say,” Crewel rolled his eyes. “Treating my son as if he is something lesser when he is clearly smarter than any of you! Besides, like I said. His magic is blocked! He can fly a broom, do Alchemy and make potions! He is not…Magicless. He just can’t do spells!”

“...Not making it better Crewel,” some whispered as the two went into a back and forth.

It was going to be a long afternoon.

“Time to face the hoard,” Yuu murmured as he walked up the path to Ramshackle. “What an annoyance,” he grumbled, opening the door to a mass of girls at the entrance. “Don’t block the entrance.”

“Leave our dorm,” a girl in front demanded, she wore a green tie and had a bob of midnight black hair; the look on her face told Yuu she might not like him for not having magic.

“Ha?”

“Leave our dorm! Your magicless, by all rights you should have your memory wiped-”

“Your dorm,” Yuu demanded, eyes twitching as his stepped forward, the three ghosts appearing behind him with scowls. “Make no mistake, you are all long term GUESTSin MYdorm,” he hissed. “In an instant I can make you all go to another dorm with all the guys!”

“All of our teachers-”

“Don’t get jack with what is going on now,” Yuu interrupted a red haired girl with bright eyes. “I am the dorm leader, I am a student here and Magic or no I will not tolerate this disrespect! I have been nice enough to not mention you,” he pointed to the girl with red hair, “or you allo,” he motioned to the green ties. “Trying to get into my private rooms.”

“...We have-”

“If you say you have a right to go into my PERSONAL room I will smack you. Women be damned, you don’t have any right to anything I am doing or giving you with my own money! Yes, my own money! I have dealt with you looking down on me for long enough! Shoto!” He boomed, turning to the ghost who turned to him.

“Yes Yuu?”

“Make sure to keep a ledger of everything they use in the dorm and I will rack up expenses to collect at the end of the year,” he snapped, moving to head to his room.

``Expenses!”

“Yes,” Yuu huffed, rolling his eyes, turning to lock with her own in an intense face off. “I’m not your little cronie to push around and I’m sure as hell not a servant you can bully. If you keep acting like this I might collect interest monthly as well.”

‘How are we supposed to collect money, we don’t have access to our vaults-”

“Oh, you use money in person? Ever heard of a debit or credit card,” he scoffed, shaking his head at their mostly blank looks. “Good lord,” he ran a hand through his hair.

“You can’t do that to us!”

“I don’t owe you anything either,” Yuu snorted, turning on his heel as he stood above them all. “I have every right to have you kicked out of my dorm and placed in another dorm because you are a threat to me!”

‘Your a threat to magical society-”

“If I was in your world which I am not-”

“What’s going on here,” a voice called out, all of them turning to see a girl with a red and gold tie appear, her bushy hair wild and untamed as Yuu sneered.

“Another one to mock me,” he scoffed.

“...Back off Parkison,” she said, turning to the girl who scoffed.

‘And what is a mudblood going to do about it-EEEK,'' she yelped as an electric shot went toward her, Yuu smirking.

“Like that? I have a whole security system here that will punish people who speak discriminatory towards others,” he leaned aginst the bannister as she leaned up against her friends. “Works wonders when I have to deal with those idiots from RSA and the likes…or Niege,” Yuu grumbled.

“...W…What! Why didn’t you tell us-”

‘I have also heard of all your talks about trying to steal my master key,” Yuu held up the item, smirking as all the girls paled. “You honestly didn’t think I had eyes and ears everywhere,” he rolled his eyes. “I own this dorm, I donate to the school and I am the son of one of the teachers,” he clucked his tongue with a chuckle. “I might not like you being in this dorm, but it doesn’t mean I am 100T% complicate in you being here either.”

“Y…You're spying on us?”

“Video in the hallways, audio in the rooms and the ghosts tracking you,” he motioned to the three who gave horrid chuckles. “I am the master of this dorm. I am Ramshackle and Ramshackle is me, and I will protect it with everything I can possibly do,” he glowered down at them. “That being said, I don’t take well to you looking down on other people and I won’t tolerate it…from any of you,” he sneered.

“...Y…You!”

“I am imposing a curfew on you all. Be in your rooms by 7Pm. Bathroom breaks are allowed, but you are not to leave your floor at all. If you are caught the curfew will be tightened and lowered with each person I find by 10 minutes until it gets to the point that you must be in your rooms the moment you come back to the dorm,” he warned.

“You can’t do that-”

‘I am well within my rights too as you have not respected my dorm in the slightest. You have not respected the lax rules I have given you and you certainly seem to have lost all respect for me. If you truly hate it here you may leave for the Savanaclaw dorm, but I warn you…it gets to 43.3 degrees there in the dorm as it’s based on the Savanna and its temperature,” he grinned, all of them gulping.

“That…that can’t be!”

“All the dorms are in a pocket dimension essentially, emulating the place the founders are based off of where they once lived. The King of Beasts comes from the harsh Savana, so naturally those who study under his ideals must suffer the same fate,” he grinned. “I would tell you to go to Octavinelle, but they don’t need extra deadweight running a dining bistro and Heartslabyul would kick you out in an instant. So it’s either me or Savanaclaw,” he giggled, going up a few more steps. “If you're good, then I will reduce the curfew later and later until we are back to how we once were.”

“How is that-”

“Just stuff it, Pansy,” the other girl yelled.

``And what, you're fine with this Granger!?”

“He is right! It’s his dorm and all of you have been nothing but stuck up bitches for the last 2 weeks when he has tried his hardest to accommodate us! Miriel had her first period and none of us knew how to help her because all of the stress we were under, lo and behold he comes to not only help her understand what’s happening to her but explain what she needs to do,” she snapped, stomping her foot into the ground, her magic sizzling and leaving a footprint in the board.

“My floorboards,” he whined.

“He shows her the female pantry he had made FOR US, explains what each and every thing will do for her in the long run and sends a message to the teachers that she will be missing classes because she’s downright scared, embarrassed and not wanting to face people!”

“...So what-”

“She is only 11 Pansy and from your dorm, but you where too busy trying to break into private property to notice she was freaking out and had no one to turn to until he found her crying in her room alone when the ghosts alerted him!’

“He was probably listening in on us!”

‘Not really,” Yuu sighed. “The security system is complex but I have a few keywords that lets me know when to tune in…like key, room and…oh…I don’t know? Getting him to know his place,” he crossed his arms as she turned red. “Now, Miss Parkison,” he drawled. “It’s 6:45. All Slytherin’s will adhere to this curfew starting today. The rest will adhere to it come Monday. Think of it as a little…special gift to you and your dormmates,” he snorted, moving to the final stair to be above them all. “I suggest you get what you need and get into your dorms. Because I will cut your time if you aren’t on your floor,” he warned them, watching with satisfaction as they began to rush to their rooms, whispering and glowering at him with contempt he ignored with ease.

“...That’s what you get,” Bushy grunted.

“You,” Yuu jerked his head to her. “What’s your name?”

“...Hermione…Hermione Granger.”

The one he needed to look out for…or so he thought. Seems like she’s not a complete dunce.

“So you do have a Brain,” he commented.

“...More like I know what it’s like. I have nosy cousins,’ she explained, looking tired as her own dormmates scowled at her.

“Hhhmmm,” Yuu pursed his lips. “Yes, well. It doesn’t change the fact I’m still pissed that all of you are in kahoots to break into my rooms and steal or look into my private studies.”

“Trust me I don’t want any part in this-”

“Be that as it may, I still am upset with most of your classmates. So you best stay out of my way,” Yuu interrupted her, tired from the confrontations he had suffered through all day today. “And you,” he turned to the redhead who jumped.

“What?”

“Stop instigating fights with the Slytherin girls. I barely sleep as it is and you doing cat fights all the time is cutting into the little sleep I get and I don’t appreciate it. And it’s four in the morning. None of you should be awake at all, let alone going into near screaming matches about blood purity or whatever,” he grunted.

‘Ginny,” Hermione hissed.

‘They sought me out first.”

``You're not even on the same floor,” Yuu grunted before waving them off. “Just…leave me be and stay off of my second floor! I mean it!”

He then vanished.

“What a twat.”

“Ginny,” Hermione sighed. ‘Can you not?”

“He is ‘Mione! Worse than my brothers.”

“Be that as it may, we are in no position to try and aggravate him-”

“I say we are,” Milicent Bulstrode commented as she flicked her hair back. “Look, I hate you and I know you hate me, but think of it. He doesn’t have magic and those ghosts can only do so much,” she scoffed.

“We could make things…inconvenient for him,” Daphne smirked into her hand as others looked to one another with inquiring looks. “I mean…a thing or two out of place? Whispers and-”

‘I surly hope not,” a faux cheerful voice asked, all of them gasping as they turned to the entrance to see the Headmaster of Night Raven smiling at them all with such an empty smile they felt the urge to grab their wands. “I am not certain, but have you forgotten my crow familiars keep watch over dearest Yuu chan?”

“Wha-”

``And I have no problem informing them to make things inconvenient…for you,” he purred, stepping forward with a clack of his shoes and cane. “Yuu-chan and myself’s very gracious and caring belongs have allowed you to a dorm that is not bound or subject to the rules of the seven, but to its owner, that being the oh so gracious and loving Yuu-Chan,” he gasped, blushing like a schoolgirl as he shimmied like a crow. “So best be careful of what you say. After today and all I have learned…you will be under the greatest scrutiny from my staff and students.”

“...All this for a ma-”

“Yuu chan is special, far more special than you are willing to comprehend,” Crowleyu murmured, coming down to Pansy’s level as she shook in fear. “So take caution, and listen to those who have power over you. You have no mommy or daddy to come in and make things better, no ministry to fall back on and certainly no Headmaster who wishes for peace between us…”

“...A…Ahh…”

“It’s seven and you are all not in your dorms! Not even one day and….Crowley,” Yuu demanded, halfway down the stairs as he looked between Pansy and Crowley with a raised brow. “Uggh, what are you trying to drag them into now,” he demanded. “I guess if it’s you, all of you can be in your dorms by 7:30. He’s notorious for loving to hear himself speak,” Yuu grumbled as Crowley gasped and pouted.

“How could you say such a thing Yuu-Chan! I only seek to help and educate these poor student son what is now going to happen as things change with classes and such, like the oh so gracious Headmaster I am,” he nodded, Pansy and the rest of the girls taking the chance to run as the two got into a squabbling match about his duty as a headmaster and how much he shrinks it.

‘If anything I should be headmaster with all the paperwork you have given me the last year and a half,” Yuu bellowed as Crowley pouted once more, shaking his head and trying to explain why he did what he did.

They kept at it for a good 2 hours.

2 HOURS LATER

“Idiot Crowley…not only did he come to my dorm he somehow dumped more work onto me,” Yuu seethed, walking through his garden to the gazebo he had overlooking a pond he had filled with Lotus and Water Lilies.

With an anger filled huff he plopped down into the plush cushion of his chair, crossing his arms as he overlooked the pond.  “I swear I will kill him one day.”

“...I am under the inclination he might let you get in a few hits,” a joking voice spoke up, Yuu jumping before turning around to the other path leading to the Gazebo, Dumbledore standing there with a smile.

“...You here to try and convince me to erase my memories,” he demanded, eyes narrowed as Dumbledore shook his head.

“No, no,” he assured the boy. ``Your teacher has informed us all of your predicament and I must say, it is rare for me to be stumped, but you are a special case.”

“Gee…thanks.”

“...Magic has a will and a way, as I find myself saying at times,” Dumbledore began, moving to sit opposite of Yuu who hummed.

“And?”

“I think…something inside of you…is holding back your magic,” he smiled, Yuu staring at him like he was stupid.

“...You and everyone else who has looked at me,” Yuu deadpanned, annoyed at the path the conversation was going down.

“Because you're not motivated enough,” Dumbledore smiled, Yuu stilling before whipping his head around to glare at him.

“What?” He whispered with such a deadly tone of voice Dumbledore had to hold back a shiver.

“You're not motivated to have magic.”

“What type of bullshit answer is that!....Sir.”

“Ahahah, I won’t do anything to you,” Dumbledore coughed, shifting a bit and turning to look over the pond. “What I mean to say is that you don’t have a real incentive to be a wizard.”

“The hell I don’t!”

“Why?”

“Hu…huh? Why what?”

“Why do you want magic so badly? I know you aren’t like the muggle from our world, clamoring for an easier life filled with little to no hardship because of magic…so why? What drives you to want magic so badly?”

“...Because I am in NRC! I am one of its best students, I have made addons to potions, Alchemical formulas, I decipher runes and map out the stars but I can’t use magic,” Yuu sneered. “Imagine that!”

“...I don’t need to, I am looking right at him.”

“...Don’t mock me.” Yuu murmured, sitting back down.

‘I’m not. I see an incredibly intelligent boy who has a lot going for him in life. So much so that those WITH magic would envy him as if he had a magic they did not have,” Dumbledore explained, leaning forward as Yuu pursed his lips.

“...I need magic to be here…I need it to be…”

“Your friends seem to find no issue with you being a magicless boy,” Dumbledore reminded him gently, placing his own hand on top of Yuu’s prone one on the table.

“....I..I have it…I know I do. Why won’t it come,” Yuu demanded of Dumbledore, letting the old man squeeze it before taking his hand back.

“...I think…you need a drive in you.”

“I have a drive-”

“Not the one you have now.”

“...What sort of drive do I need then,” Yuu demanded.

“Think of it like this…what if…you had an accident like us,” Dumbledore began, Yuu’s hands curling into fists as he tried to get the image of the incident a few months ago out of his head. “Taken away to a world that you know naught of and no way to go back. What would you do?”

“...Turn over all of Heaven and Hell to get back. No matter what I would do anything…anything to come back,” Yuu whispered.

“A drive like that….a desire like that…it’s the greatest key to unlocking potential,” Dumbledore whispered, Yuu shivering at a thought like that.

To be back with his father, the servants…his mother.

He didn’t want to think about it.

He would much rather be worried about what this old coot was saying.

“So…you're saying that if I had the drive like I would have if I was taken away…my magic would come out,” Yuu whispered, leaning forward a bit more as Dumbledore nodded.

‘Maybe, maybe not,” he shrugged, getting up and straightening his robes. “All that being said, you have more going for you than a pureblood in a well connected family. Unlike them, you have created an extended family. You have respect, intelligence, integrity and beauty that you can lean upon. You have many outlets to explore yourself with.”

“...But you already know I won’t stop until I have my magic.”

“...I suggest that you look into yourself first. Ignore everything and anyone around you that tries to sway you and think,” Dumbledore told him.

“Think about what?”

“Anything…everything…nothing…it’s all up to you and where that mind takes you.”

“...I see,” Yuu smiled, Dumbledore smiling back as he realized Yuu had already figured him out. “You’ve known people like me.”

“Indeed I have. Two, in particular…one who is a year younger than me and a former student of mine.”

“...You weren’t there for them…where you,” Yuu leaned back, crossing his arms as Dumbledore gave a pat to his own hand, moving along the stone stepway without a single word. “I don't need pity! I just need…to find myself.”

“That’s all I wanted to say,” Dumbledore waved off, Yuu watching him with a hum before he moved to head back to his dorm, groaning slightly at the pressure going through his chest before shaking it off.

He hadn’t worked out in awhile and Lilia expected him to start soon anyways…it was probably nerves.

Meanwhile Dumbledore contemplated the spark of magic he felt in the boy when he touched him.

He had magic…but more importantly…

He had a magic core.

He was the one that never came five years ago…and now his body was going haywire without a proper wand.

…What a mess.
