A Literary Massacre

I look inside myself

And see my heart is black

I see my red door

I must have it painted black

Maybe then, I'll fade away

And not have to face the facts

It's not easy facing up

When your whole world is black

It’s April first and James and Remus are out on a mission.

Every year, Sirius likes to prank his freshmen students using James’ and Remus’ help. Most of his other students are well aware of this usual prank, and they wait around for it yearly, only because the freshmen always have the funniest reactions.

Their usual plan goes like this: James and Remus join Sirius’ class, who teaches as usual, presenting whatever topic they are on. Throughout the class Prongs and Moony try their best to answer as many questions as possible correctly, in hopes that they will outsmart everyone else in the class. At the end, Sirius’ announces what happened, scolding everyone for not studying and trying hard enough in his class. The outcome is different every year, however it’s always painfully hilarious.

Most of the students don’t know each other well enough yet to notice any new faces in class and Remus studies in a different building, so they couldn’t have seen him around the campus often. Overall the plan is almost perfect, the only thing that could go wrong is James and Remus not knowing the answer to the questions, though this doesn’t happen often since they hear Sirius talk about physics really often.

At 10 PM sharp Prongs picked up Moony to drive together to the Imperial College of London. Sirius always takes the tube, and today was no exception, just so no one could figure out their plan. The drive is fairly short, but London is always crowded so it took them a decent 40 minutes to get there, even though James statistically only lives about 20 minutes away.

Remus is used to the campus, so he knows his way around the buildings. They got there a little early, just to pass by the teachers lounge to say hi to Sirius. Moony guided James around, though he’s already been there a few times so he can navigate pretty decently. They stood outside the door for a moment until Remus gained the courage to knock.

“Morning! Sorry we’re here to see Sirius!” he excused himself, holding the door open as James walked in, nodding to some of the teachers.

“Remus my boy! Lovely to see you! Doing your usual prank I assume?” a professor turned around in his chair to greet them.

“Yes sir! I hope the older students didn’t give the freshmen a heads up, it would ruin the fun.” Remus shook his hand.

“My my well if it isn’t James Potter himself! How have you been?” An old woman walked up to James, squeezing his hands as she greeted him.

She was one of James’ professors when he studied at Oxford, Prongs recently heard that she moved to London, so seeing her here was not a surprise.

“Good to see you ma’am!” he smiled back “I’m doing well, didn’t quite expect to find you here! How come you’ve left Oxford?”

“Oh I wanted to spend more time with my niece, some of the only family I’ve got left.” she chuckled “I like it better here though, plus I get to teach Mr. Lupin and he’s just so talented! He has the best essays of the year!” she smiled at Remus, shaking his hand.

“Mr. Potter, I heard you turned down the offer to teach not too long ago! Not having doubts about your career choice are you?” another man, who James recognised as Remus’ professor asked.

“Oh no, I love what I do, definitely no doubts here! I just feel like I’m a bit young to start teaching just yet! It will most definitely take away some of my freedom!” James responded honestly, watching the teachers give him a bit of an odd look.

“Sorry to interrupt but I’d like to talk to my friends here if you don’t mind!” Sirius cleared his throat, calling James and Remus over.

“Of course, lovely to see you two.” the professors whispered.

They took a seat next to him at a small table, Remus stopping for a moment to give Sirius a kiss. Some of the older professors around the room looked a bti weirded out by it, but James bit his tongue to try his best to not say anything.

Sirius dressed so much differently when he was teaching. He wore long, black pants with a matching black vest over a purple button-up that James gave him not too long ago. He also added a black tie, which matched the rest of the elements perfectly. Of course he also had to wear his gloves because of the dare he had this year.

His thick and curly hair was in a classic half up half down, making him look both rebellious and elegant. Remus was basically drooling, but we don’t talk about that.

“So, no astro-physics today, just regular. I fell a bit behind on teaching since they’re all so unreasonably stupid, so we’re still on Maxwell’s Equations. You should still remember stuff from highschool.” Sirius lit up a cigarette to smoke. “They’re generally quiet, I ask questions all the time. If one of them can’t answer, then lift your hand up and I’ll call on you.”

“You sure the seniors didn’t tell the freshmen anything?” James relaxed in his chair as soon as he heard the topic, it was his favourite in highschool.

“Oh definitely not! They enjoy the prank more than I do, plus they know I'd kill them if they say anything.” Sirius smiled.

They waited around for a bit longer, James discussed it with some of the other teachers there who already knew him while Remus debated Nietzche with his professor. After a while Sirius left first to open up the classroom and set his things down, Remus and James went along with him but they took a turn at the end for the hallway to walk around campus for a bit more, so they wouldn't be the first ones in class.

Of course, they also made sure they looked like students. James brought his old uni bag along with his ipad for note taking. Remus did the same, except he brought his laptop. James was actually planning on learning something from the class, especially since, in his very unbiased opinion, Sirius is a great teacher.

Once they saw some other people heading towards the classroom they did too. As they entered Sirius completely ignored them, busy with preparing the blackboards for writing.

They sat somewhere around the middle, not in the first rows but not all the way in the back, since that would give them a hard time answering. James and Remus sat next to each other, leaving a seat between them to hold their bags. More people started to come in, most of them only carrying an ipad and a cup of coffee, typical.

James actually felt like he was back at college, which didn’t really thrill him. University was a bit of a cakewalk for him and he didn’t even live in the dorms, so there was nothing really fun about it. The students here seemed to enjoy themselves though, chatting and smiling, though some were worrying about some assignment Sirius set. It was fun listening to students call him “Mr. Black”.

So far no one noticed anything about two unfamiliar faces joining classes, so they kept calm and they waited until Sirius spoke aloud:

“Alright everyone, quiet please.” he leaned on his desk, waiting for everyone to quiet down “Thank you.” he spoke in such a different voice than usual. “I’ll take attendance now, do you know anything about anyone being late to class or should I mark every absence?”

“Um, Mr. Black!” a brunette girl raised her hand up, speaking shyly “Andrew will be a few minutes late, his other professor kept him in class for too long!”

“Okay no worries, anyone else?” he looked around, squinting his eyes slightly as he noticed where James and Remus sat down. No one else responded. “Very well then, I’ll take attendance.”

James and Remus tried to not flinch while Sirius called attendance, so no one would notice that their names aren’t called. The was one sudden change today however, it seems Sirius went to extreme lengths to making the prank as real as possible.

“Jacob Anderson?” he called.

“Here!”

“James Potter?” He grinned at James who looked far too shocked to hear his own name. Still, his instincts kicked in and he managed to play it off.

“Here!” he answered, turning to Remus as they chuckled for a moment, until it was Remus’ turn.

“Ryan Jenkins?” Sirius asked.

“Present!”

“Remus Lupin?” Sirius looked right into Remus’ eyes as he called on him, and Moony just held his gaze.

“Here, sir!” he replied, grinning.

Afterwards him and James just laughed for a moment, quietly, obviously, but they still couldn’t help laughing. Sirius added their names to attendance, something they have never done before.

After taking attendance Sirius turned to the board to write the title down with white chalk, speaking loudly so everyone could hear.

“So, last time we did a brief introduction to Maxwell’s Equations.” he quickly wrote the title down “Could anyone tell me what they are along with what they describe?”

James didn’t want to answer just yet but he still put his hand up, just in case Sirius might decide to call on him. It seems he was set on their prank being a success, so he immediately picked James.

“Mr. Potter, let’s hear it.” he smiled, walking in front of his desk to lean on it once again.

“Maxwell’s equations are a set of four fundamental equations that describe classical electromagnetism.” He heard Sirius say this once and he remembered it perfectly for some reason “They were formulated by James Clerk Maxwell in the 19th century and are used to understand how electric and magnetic fields interact.” he could recite this theory in his sleep, James isn’t quite sure when he learned it but he knows he did.

“Correct, and who can tell me each of the laws? Just their names, no need to go into detail." He waited for someone to answer, James wasn’t really sure about this one and neither was Remus so they remained quiet. “No one? I suppose I have to call on you myself.” he looked down at the paper for attendance, gliding his finger along to decide on a person “Sophia, let’s hear it!”

“Well, there’s Gauss’s Law for Electricity, then um..” her voice was basically trembling, she took a long pause before gasping as if she wanted to speak again.

“I’ve heard plenty, let’s move on.” Sirius turned her down, sounding visibly disappointed. “Ethan, perhaps you could do better.”

“Well, sir, as Sopgia already said there's Gauss’s…”

“No repetitions , you’re wasting time here.” Sirius shouted “Mr. Turner, perhaps you could tell us the remaining four?”

“Ampère’s Law with Maxwell’s Correction, Gauss’s law for Magnetism and the Law of Induction.” the guy swallowed hard, trying his best to maintain Sirius’ gaze.

“Whose law of Induction? I could name about 4 or 5 Induction Laws, I need some detail here.” Sirius leaned back again, being a bit more calm since he got a decent response.

“I don’t know sir.” The student answered, lowering his head as he fidgeted with his notebook.

“Typical.” Sirius scoffed “Alright, moving on. I’ll go over the formulas once again, since it seems you didn’t even bother to remember them.”

Remus glanced at James, signaling for him to lean in so Moony could whisper.

“Think he might call for these? I know like two of them…heard him recite them some time ago.”  Remus asked.

“I’m not sure, he’s kind of scary when he teaches.” James spoke his mind.

“Oh tell me about it, he's super hot!” Remus smiled, turning back to his computer to write a few things down.

“First off, Gauss’s Law for Electricity. The closed surface integral of the electric field times product with the area element equals the total charge enclosed, divided by epsilon naught. It’s fairly simple, I like to shorten the charge enclosed as the usual Q with E.C. , though most professors just write ENC. Use whatever abbreviation you prefer.” He wrote quickly, holding the chalk at an angle. “Now because I suspect you guys don’t know how to read equations aloud anymore, who can dictate Gauss’ law for Magnetism?”

Remus quickly gave James a look, just to say he knows it, before raising his hand. Sirius hesitated, waiting for someone else, but he ended up sighing and calling on Remus anyway.

“Yes Mr. Lupin, let's hear it!” he turned, preparing to write.

“The closed surface integral of the magnetic field times product with the area element equals zero. This means magnetic field lines have no beginning or end—there are no magnetic monopoles” Remus said.

“Beautifully said.” Sirius praised, writing down the formula quickly.

They discussed the other two, one of the students sitting at the front saying one of them. She was taking notes aggressively, raising her hand pretty often throughout class.

Soon Sirius moved on to actually giving them problems to solve, which were way beyond James’ or Remus’ level of understanding, yet they still managed to give some clever answers.

“I need all of you to imagine I have a region where the magnetic field is increasing over time. Nothing else, just a magnetic field that’s getting stronger. What do you think happens in the space around it?" Sirius drew a circle on the board, placing a dot in the middle.

“Would it be a stronger field?” The girl sitting in the front asked.

“Not quite!” Sirius clicked his tongue “According to Faraday’s Law, if a magnetic field changes, it doesn’t just sit there. It creates something else. Can anyone remember what?”

The answer immediately clicked for James.

“An electric field!” James answered “It like, loops around the changing magnetic field!” He was so excited about his answer, and Sirius looked pleased.

“Exactly, now let’s prove it mathematically.” Sirius turned to write Faraday’s Law on the board “The left side tells us the electric field circulates in a loop. The right side tells us that this happens whenever the magnetic flux changes. So, let’s say the field inside this circle is increasing with time at a steady rate. We’ll call that rate a constant, so just K. From that, we can conclude this formula:” Sirius paused to write something down.

Remus and James looked at eachother, not really understanding where K and the random formula came from. They still let Sirius continue.

“Now, we find the induced electric field at different distances from the center. First, we look at a loop of radius r inside the region where the field is growing. In our case, this is the magnetic flux inside the loop:” Sirius wrote something that barely made any sense down again, making a few observations. Since the field is changing over time, we take its derivative and we mix it with Faraday’s Law.”

Sirius wrote another equation down, circling it.

“Who can tell me what conclusion we take from this.” Sirius asked.

Remus leaned in to whisper something to James.

“Is it the minus? Does being negative change things?”

“Wait, that's brilliant, if you can’t explain it further don’t say anything thou-” James was cut off.

“Mr Lupin, something you’d like to share with the class perhaps?” Sirius grinned at him knowingly, crossing his arms in front of him as he waited for an answer.

Remus widened his eyes but he kept his composure, taking a moment to phrase his idea properly.

“Well, I noticed that the equation has a negative sign in front of it, perhaps the conclusion has something to do with it.” He held Sirius’ gaze, waiting for a response.

“Yes that’s correct, maybe consider saying it aloud next time.” Sirius smiled, genuinely smiled. “As Mr. Lupin said, the negative sign changes things. In our case this means the electric field circulates counterclockwise.”

James would have continued paying attention to Sirius if he wouldn’t have heard someone behind him and Remus scoff loudly.

“Fucking nerds…” he said, perhaps a bit more loudly then he would have liked.

James looked at Remus to see if he heard it too, and he most definitely did. Remus whispered something to James again.

“I wonder what he would have said if he knew I’m Mr. Blacks’ fiance.” he chuckled.

“Oh I’m sure he’ll find out soon enough, try to get his name or something we should cause some havoc around here.” James said.

After another long hour of nonsense, at least from James’ perspective, the class finished. Just before Sirius let everyone go he needed to make one more announcement.

“I’m sure you are all familiar with today's date. My contribution to it is the same test I’ve been doing on my freshmen since I started teaching, it’s safe to say you’ve all failed me.” Sirius relaxed a bit, his tone changing to something more similar to what James is used to. “Perhaps some of you noticed two unusual faces, or names, in class today.” Sirius waited for a moment as some chatter began around the room.

James looked at Remus to prepare for what Sirius has to say, giving him an awkward smile.

“Today two english majors joined us, and somehow they managed to give me more answers then all of you. It would be a pity to not introduce them of course, though I suppose you’ve noticed. Remus Lupin here, my fiance.” Sirius walked up next to Remus, squeezing his shoulder.

Remus blushed just a tad, looking up at Sirius who didn’t meet his gaze just yet. Some people around the room murmured, Sirius had never told his students about his love life, James knows because Padfoot insisted they’re two separate things.

“And James Potter, my best friend. Remus is a Literature student for his masters here at Imperial, perhaps some of you might have seen him around campus. James is an Oxford graduate for English Literature and Linguistics, having graduated early just like I did.” Sirius introduced James quickly before walking back down the tiny set of stairs to lean on his desk again.

More quiet whispers emerged from around the room. James looked around to see some girls look visibly disappointed, he could easily guess what that’s about.

“I expect all of you to start studying intensely and be ashamed. English and Physics do not meet yet they still managed to give clever answers based on what they learned in highschool alone. Not to mention some of you here are our age. I must say I am deeply disappointed in you as a class and I hope you will do better in your final exams.” Sirius sighed, before lightly tapping his foot “You may leave now. Don’t forget to finish your lab report by next class, anyone who forgets it will have points off of their final.”

Loud chatter began around the room. Some students stood their ground, staring at James and Remus who immediately went down the stairs to talk to Sirius, who was already laughing.

“Oh dear you should have seen their faces! Great work today I have nothing to say! And your answer with that negative sign! I swear they always forget the negatives! Brilliant Moony, you’re brilliant!” Sirius kissed Remus’ cheek, well aware of the classroom still being full of people.

“Personally I don’t blame them, I didn’t understand a single thing. It was all intuition!” James said “I swear you just started making things up at one point!”

“Well yes and also no. Sometimes you need to pretend to have something until you actually get it. Still, you both had such good answers! I  bet half of them knew how to solve at least one thing but they didn’t respond just because. I hate when they do that!” Sirius rolled his eyes.

They chatted for a moment before two students lined up to ask Sirius something. James and Remus took a few steps back to wait for Padfoot. Of course Jame still listened to their conversation.

“Mr. Black, we wanted to ask you about the assignment we have to complete. Fiona missed class when we measured our labs and she’s not in any team. Could we take her in ours or does she need to redo everything on her own?” A similar face asked. It was the girl who sat in the front throughout class, James made a mental note to ask Sirius about her.

“I won’t mind her joining your team, let me just mark that down so I don’t forget!” Sirius grabbed a pen from a drawer and he drew a few lines on his paper.

“Thank you sir!” The girl smiled, turning on her heels to leave.

“I love how they still call me sir even though I told them they can use my first name and all. I guess I’m too authoritative!” Sirius shrugged.

“You’re a whole other person!” James said. “Anyway, not to be a teacher's pet but after Remus answered these guys that were sitting behind us called us nerds! And I quote: Fucking nerds..!” James just had to tell on them.

Sirius grinned. “I know exactly who you’re talking about. I didn’t expect anything more from them. Typical.”

“You should have seen their faces when you introduced Remus! I swear I saw some of the girls visibly sigh!” James winked, patting Sirius on the shoulder.

“Oh that’s not news to me! I waited for so long to drop this bomb on them—-trust me, there’s plenty of students crushing on me in this class and I saw all of their reactions.” Sirius wheezed.

“It was so embarrassing! You didn’t have to do that!” Remus covered his face, groaning.

“You should see what they say about me, I couldn’t take it anymore. I needed them to know I'm off limits” Sirius put his hand around Remus’ waist, squeezing it lightly.

Once the class finally emptied they let Sirius gather his things and they left together.

“It’s so warm outside! Let’s take Buckbeak out for a walk or something.” Sirius spun around on their way to the car, smiling and skipping every once in a while.

“I have ballet today from 4 to 6, if you want I’ll go get ready and we can walk him before I leave” James suggested.

“You’re actually enjoying classes aren’t you?” Remus kicked James’ leg “Regulus is a good teacher isn’t he?” he winked.

“James, you saw him dance right? Is he good?” Sirius asked.

“I can’t really describe it, just go to his next show or something” Prongs sat in his car, waiting for Remus and Sirius to do the same.

“I’m not sure we’re there just yet, I’m still a bit awkward around him” Sirius fidgeted with his seatbelt.

“We should hang out together or something, he’s doing fine around me.”

“I want to see him again so bad! We got along so well!” Remus sat in the back of the car while Sirius sat in the front

“Okay so I’ll drop you guys off at your flat, you go get Buckbeak ready while I change for class then we take a short walk and we end at the theatre” James made a quick plan before starting his car, just to be sure in which direction to head.

“Yeah that’s fine–I love this weather” Sirius looked out the window, resting his forehead on the glass.

“We should grab something to eat while we’re out, I’m starving!” Remus groaned.

“Buckbeak!” James squeaked, running quickly towards Sirius, who had Buckbeak on a leash ready for their walk. “Hello buddy! Oh yes you’re so so pretty!” Prongs tried his best to not let the dog lick him but it was to no avail, Buckbeak was just too happy to see him.

“Do you wanna hold his leash? He’s tugging so hard today!” Sirius offered.

“Yes please!” James stood up and he grabbed it as they set onto their walk around the neighbourhood.

Buckbeak was absolutely ecstatic to say the least. He was constantly smelling new things, occasionally turning his head to check if Remus and Sirius were still there. He interacted with the other dogs, which is pretty rare because he does tend to be pretty shy, and he even sat down patiently as a few kids requested to pet him.

“Why could he possibly be this excited?” Remus wondered.

“It’s getting warmer, obviously! Everyone should be excited, you’re like the only person ever who hates warmer seasons!” James answered. “I personally think Buckbeak takes after me.” He bragged.

“Well it takes away from my wide range of good outfits.” Remus stuck his tongue out as a joke. “Can we go get food and perhaps a sweet treat now I’m hungry.”

They ended up settling for a wrap. They got their food to go and they ended up eating in the park on a nice little bench. Buckbeak was let off of his leash while they ate so he could use up some of his energy and he even got a little treat for being a good boy afterwards.

After their well needed walk James said goodbye to Remus and Sirius and he headed towards the ballet, arriving a bit early. He met Pandora outside, so they headed in together, getting to chat until Regulus arrived.

“James!” she greeted him before James even had a chance to notice her. Pandora instantly grabbed Prongs in a tight hug, smiling from ear to ear. “Well you’re here early!”

“Yeah I usually am, I live pretty close by and it’s hard to estimate how early I need to leave. “ he chuckled.

“Let’s head in together!” she suggested. “So how come you picked up ballet? You don’t seem like the type to do this sort of thing!”

“Oh well actually— my friends and I do this sort of thing every year. Everyone gets a dare and we have to do it for the following year, we have a whole rulebook and everything. This just happened to be the one I picked out.”   James explained. “We’ve been doing it since highschool and all, it’s loads of fun.”

“And I’m assuming you didn’t know Regulus would be your teacher right? He told me about how you guys know each other!” Pandora said.

“Yeah no, it was a bit of a shock indeed.” James laughed “Still, I’m glad we’re talking again, he’s super fun to be around!” he answered honestly.

Pandora didn’t say anything for a while, she just hummed a melody as they walked into their practice room and she set her stuff down, taking a few things out of her bag to stretch.

“Regulus likes you a lot y’know…” she uttered.

“Yeah, I assumed. Not to sound arrogant but I get along with everyone, I’d be more shocked if he didn’t.” James grinned.

“A true extrovert…” Pandora winced as she switched to a different stretch, taking a bit of a pause while talking “You never did any sort of dance when you were little? You’re so naturally good, especially with turns.”

“To be fair, I’ve always felt like I’m good at anything. It was super hard for me to choose a career path, I succeeded at everything I ever attempted. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m talented or because I work harder than most people, but there was nothing that I've ever really struggled with.” James sat down to put on his flats while talking.

“Oh I wish! Ballet is all I ever had, if I get injured or decide to quit there’s nothing else waiting for me out there.” Pandora said.

A few moments later Regulus arrived, carrying his usual tote. First thing James noticed was that he was limping slightly, just enough for it to be visible.

“You’re limping.” he didn’t bother saying hi “Something happened?”

“Good day to you too.” Regulus gave him a stern look “I’m fine, nothing to worry about.”

“He fell during a cabriole today, which is so not like him. Twisted his ankle.” Pandora interrupted, “He’s been out of it lately, always daydreaming about something.” she did a short, playful whistle.

Regulus flipped her off, sitting down to put on his flats and taking his things out.

“James get started on the barre, I’m trying to save up some time today so only do it on one side. Pandora, go along with him if you want, it’s an easy combo you’ll figure it out.”

James got in position for plies but he still kept his eyes on Regulus. He took a theraband out of his bag and he massaged his left foot for a few seconds, which did look a little inflamed.

Pandora placed herself behind James so she could follow along with the combination, and Regulus started the music quickly. He did a few exercises for his ankle while staying focused on James, giving him plenty of corrections.

“Don’t sit in the grand plie and use your head.” he said a bit more often than James would’ve liked. “Relax your grip on the barre there’s no need to hold it that tight.”

Regulus didn’t even give James a time to breathe in between, as soon as he turned to the other side Regulus started the music and James had to already be in position.

“Pandora what the fuck? Did you see what Minnie sent?” Regulus said during the middle of the exercise.

James half expected Pandora to stop and go check it out, but she kept going anyway.

“Right! It’s ridiculous, what’s the point of taking our measurements again? The costume department is just wasting our time.” she responded. “Gee I love this barre, it's so fun” she added.

“I’ll switch it next time or something, I’ve already got like a new half done. I just need to think of an Adagio and Grand Battement, I’ll add some new elements too…” Regulus said, leaving James very excited to find out what it might be “Straighten the bottom foot.”

“Will you be changing it for class too?” James asked.

“Oh definitely not they barely even know the current one, you’d think they’d try to memorise it or something but I guess not.” Regulus scoffed, rolling his eyes.

“My students are the nicest! I chose to teach juniors since they’re the easiest to handle and they’re so dedicated!!” Pandora had a hint of excitement in her voice “Minnie said she’ll come visit us during classes more often to see who improves, I’m pretty scared of her outside of company class.”

“Will she? When did she say that?” Regulus’ tone changed “That’s great!”

*

After the barre they all took a little break. Pandora took some photos of herself in the mirror, constantly admiring her outfit. She had a lot of layers on, that’s for sure.

“Oh just stop that already will you? You don’t even post half of these!” Regulus whined.

Pandora murmured something in Russian before sticking her tongue out and sitting down next to James.

“Is he this mean to you too? Someone needs to teach him how to have fun or something.” Pandora laid flat on the floor to relax. “

“I’m not mean, just realistic!” Regulus interrupted.

“No you definitely are mean, or actually rude.” James enjoyed the look on Regulus’ face as he said that.

“It’s two against one Reggie you lose!” Pandora laughed.

“Careful about what you say or I might just accidentally tell Minnie about you and that Opera singer girl.’’ Regulus teased.

“Ughh stop that will you! We didn’t even shag yet and I can’t keep waiting much longer! It’s driving me insane.” Pandora rolled on her tummy, kicking her feet.

“You’re acting like a kid.” Regulus scoffed.

“Well I haven’t had sex in so long! It helps me dance better and now I’m just completely useless.” she whined.

“Hm, suppose I have to agree with you on that. Still telling Minerva!” Regulus teased, again.

Pandora flipped him off, sitting up to look at James.

“He’s Minnie’s boy! At least that’s what we call him.” she explained.

“Right…good to know?” James shrugged, not knowing what he’s supposed to say.

“Do you have a girlfriend, James? Or boyfriend, whatever you like.” Pandora asked, stopping to take a sip of water.

“Ah no, not yet.” James smiled, “Still haven’t found my person.”

“Well if someone like you is single then there’s surely no hope left for us—” she sighed.

“Okay, nope, that’s enough. Come on James, you should do some turns…” Regulus interrupted.
