The morning after Ron and the twins rescued Harry from his aunt's and uncle's house using Arthur's car, they sat in the kitchen eating breakfast. Harry felt at home with the Weasleys and Ginny finally managed to sit at the same table with him. Molly served everyone food and they were all pretty cheerful over all, even if Ron, Fred and George still received angry glances from their mother.
That was until the chimney lit up in a green fire. Harry gasped as he'd never seen that before, while Molly and Arthur grapped their wands instinctively. Out of those green flames stepped a man, muscular and sporting many scars and burns, at least where his clothes didn't cover them. He held a big suitcase that he set on the floor a few feet away from the chimney.
"Relax, I'm just bringing Charlie's stuff.", the man said. Molly didn't seem convinced. "Charlie's stuff? Why that?" The man coughed slightly. "Well, you see, he's got vacation. Mandatory. We literally had to pack for him, he didn't want to leave."
"Why would Charlie have to go on mandatory vacatio-" Molly was interrupted by another wave of green flames. Out stepped a red haired man. He was similarly covered with scars and burns, less than the other man though. But this one had one arm bandaged, as well as a leg, and he was leaning on a crutch.
Clearing his throat, he looked at Molly. "Well... Hey Mom, hey everyone. Sorry to disturb you." And Molly screamed.
After the other wizard had left, Molly took Charlie to a chair and tried to pack lots of food on his plate, which he declined. Instead, he explained what had happened.
"So last week, we got another breed of dragons. Well, their mom left, their dad stayed but couldn't feed them. So we had to do it. But the dad protected them so it was kinda dangerous. Anyways, I told 'em I'd do it so I went in to bring the little ones some meat and daddy dragon burned me a little. But it was worth it! The babies are so adorable!"
Molly just shook her head. "Charles Weasley! You nearly died! Those are no minor injuries!" "Mum, they are, trust me. If I hadn't gotten both my arm and leg burned, I'd have stayed. I really, really wanted to stay but they literally dragged me out."
"Good thing they did." At his mother's remark, Charlie sighed and glanced over the table at the people sitting there. "Hey Ginny, excited for Hogwarts?" "Yeah!", Ginny squealed. Charlie grinned and adressed Harry. "You're Harry, right? Hagrid wrote about you. You and Ron get into trouble ever so often, huh?"
Harry blushed embarrassedly and Ron complained. Charlie just smirked and turned to Fred and George. "What did you do to rail mum up this summer?" Molly took that as her chance to take over the conversation again.
"They took Arthur's apparently flighing car and flew across London!" "We saved Harry from his relatives!" "We did something good!" But Molly ignored her sons' protest while hitting the back of Charlie's head, for the man had started to laugh and congratulate his brothers.
Then she noticed something else about him. "I-is that a tattoo?!" Charlie's grin disappeared. "Uh... Not at all." Molly grabbed her son's collar and pushed it down revealing a dragon tattoo spread all over his uninjured shoulder. "Just how big is this thing?!" "Uhm.... It reaches over my whole upper body actually." "What?! Where did this idea come from?!"
Arthur intervened before the situation could escalate. "Molly, he's a grown adult, and we can't really do anything about the tattoo now, can't we? And it does look pretty cool." "Arthur!" Molly chastised her husband and Charlie joined his siblings' laughter. It was good to be back home.
